i laughed so freeking hard when they played this and Branford told Sting 'all British people know the Flintstones'. That was so doggone funny to me but Trudie saying Sting loosened up so much when he was with this group was encouraging to me to see they had a great influence on him when he was home. So nice to hear. Thank u for sharing!
Still probably my all-time favorite album, definitely my favorite live album. Sting wasn't afraid to fill the stage with a bunch of vastly more talented musicians....a pretty high bar when you're Sting.
When I was in Elementary School (in 1982 or 1983) we went on a field trip to Royce Hall at UCLA where Branford's brother Wynton Marsalis was doing this educational lecture/performance with his jazz trio. The audience was schoolchildren from different schools in Los Angeles and he basically taught us how jazz music worked. And one of his examples was "The Flintstones" theme song (mashed up with Gershwin's "I Got Rhythm." I could imagine the Marsalis kids jamming to "The Flintstones" at home when they were young.
I don’t remember what this was from but I just remember seeing it with my brother and we loved it. I just suddenly started singing the Flintstones theme like Sting and had to look it up because I couldn’t remember if it was real or imagined. Thank you for uploading to prove it’s real! 😂❤️
This is so hilarious! I enjoyed this part of the movie "Bring On the Night". Terrific! Sting on keyboards is rare. Thank u for posting! Happy new year. 1-10-22
Flintstones, meet the Flintstones They're the modern stone age family From the town of Bedrock They're a page right out of history Let's ride with the family down the street Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet When you're with the Flintstones Have a yabba-dabba-doo time A dabba-doo time You'll have a great old time! But for the closing credits, the bridge is: Someday, maybe Fred will win the fight Then that cat will stay out for the night
Lol... now here is something intriguingly hilarious!! Sting started singing in the right key.... But Branford also started playing in the right key.....😂😂😂 The only person wrong here was Kenny (RIP). Listen to the original 🤣🤣🤣
All British people know the Flintones
I mean, Britain is the home of Stonehenge after all...
Lol Sting says "teach me " then starts to sing along with Bradford 😆

@@PV-pu5iu True, but it was changed starting in 1979 with the rendition heard in The New Fred & Barney Show to downplay the LGBT connotation.

Saw Branford live years ago. The band were all scared of him. They were all laughing hard at his jokes like they didn’t want to get sacked.
