Your humility and genuine love for the sport are really touching! Even after all these years, your videos motivate me to get out on the course. Keep it up Pete!
Pete, as a consistent fan of your channel, I can say you had an amazing year and I am grateful you bring us along. From the Masters, to the resort in Germany, to the Creators cup, to destroying Rick in Vegas, to getting to enjoy Gleneagles with the fiance...amazing year to say the least. Just know we appreciate all that you do and look forward to the next years worth of content.
Pete, seeing you duff that chip straight after hitting a perfect 2 iron stinger, makes me feel better about my own game. Thanks for keeping that shot in. 👍🏻
ok, will put this out there, if you are going to change out those irons this year, I will gladly take them off your hands and let them be maybe hot in my bag. lol. on serious note, I want to thank you for the channel and your content as a whole. I got back into golf this year after an 11 year break. your videos and Rick's have helped me re-find a swing and bring scores down to mid 80's from 100-120 in about 2 months. keep up the good work, and live that dream.
Don’t get discouraged. Getting the first pro win is the hardest. You have the skills just need more confidence I think. I believe you can do it. Winners never quit quitters never win. You don’t strike me as a quitter. You should try 7 wood and 4 wood. High draw can get 3wood distance from the four. High fade brings it back to a five wood. 7 wood is an awesome club for hitting greens around 200-220 yards. Flies high lands soft. Very workable too.
LOL!!! Just after the 8 minute mark... That's the definition of golf, you hit two of the most amazing shots into the green, left with an easy up and down and... you duff the chip! There isn't a golfer on the planet that can't relate to this!
First a great round of golf this morning with new-to-me clubs, then watching a fantastic Solheim Cup finish, and now a Peter Finch WITB. What a morning!
Mr. Finch, thank you for your awesome golf content. You've inspired me to get out golfing more, and given me many belly laughs with your wicked sense of humor. Keep it up good sir, all the best from Canada!
Pete you've had a great year be proud if what you have achieved because I'm sure all of the tips your giving out is helping other people achieve their little goals
A very honest video Pete. To say “what’s hot and not” and upfront takes guts. I’ve never tested the P760’s so don’t know what they’re like. 2 iron is a fabulous club.
Love this bag... couple thoughts: P760(or more so P790): Just bagged the P790’s and love them. To your concern about shape, I have been able to shape them a bit, but you’re right - it’s tough to do and may not curve as much as you might want. UDI: Out in the Pacific Northwest of the US here, plenty of coastal courses with windy conditions, but even some of the inland ones are similar. Currently, I rotate a 5 wood and a GAPR Mid 3, but with my new love for the P790 feel, I may just have to pick one up and add this to the rotation too. M6: I use this too in the D-Type and I’m with you... absolutely love it. Very forgiving but still allows me to shape it a bit for those dog legs. Great for just hitting bombs too. MySpiderX: Waiting to get mine, tested one out though and loved it. Hit the Spider tour and enjoy it but like the weight of it Hi-Toe: Use these an I like the spin around the green to check up quick. Haven’t tried rusting the face but I imagine that will only make it better.
In Cali! Have fun while you are here. I’d love to see you and Rick match up with TXG and do a fitting for the 2020/21 season. Always great to watch your videos over the last 5 years as I have started my golf journey. Thanks Rick and best of luck during your time here in Southern California.
Buddy from what I’ve seen and had the pleasure to experience with you this year, you’ve improved massively, despite having to juggle an even more hectic schedule due to your ongoing success with the channel, so you should be immensely proud of your achievements! I know that you’re the biggest critic of yourself, but credit where credit is due, you’ve raised the bar and are already preparing for an even better season next year. I’m looking forward to seeing what next year brings and how you deal with the inevitable challenges it presents along the way. Well done and keep up the outstanding work! Catch up with you soon 👍🏌️⛳️ #keeppushing #awesomecoach #questfortheopen
Hot -driver , 3 wood , 7 wood , hybrid , wedges , putter Not - irons , onto 3rd set this season , still not fully happy , but had the most fun this season in a while 🙂 Good vid Pete , keep on rockin
I’m happy to see the 2 iron back in the bag. I have the same issue with my Rocket 3 wood...it carries nearly the same as my M6 driver! Maybe try a blend of players irons! 730/760 short irons and 790 long irons? 4-6/7-P or whatever suits you! Enjoy the process of picking, choosing, and playing around. Great video Finch!
Peter, I have so enjoyed watching your channel. (Especially liked the competition/fun between you and Rick Shields.) I particularly appreciate your humanizing the game and making it more relatable to us mortals who love the game but can only go at it on a recreational level. I see the pain and the mental struggle when you do something silly (like taking that brief mental vacation on a short chip) because people such as I know that feeling way more intimately...or certainly more frequently than you. You chose instead to focus on the second shot, which is a shot I'll probably never be able to make...but I will make some good ones and I need to focus more on those. You seem very transparent and honest to your approach to golf and life. And being way older than you, here's the one piece of advice I'll leave you with...remain that way...sincerity is one of the rarest elements in the universe. Good luck in 2020 and beyond! Dennis
What a great shot you hit, both golf wise and camera wise, with that driving iron. You could see it curve around that corner like a car around a curve.
My clubs date from 1977 and are blades. Every club is different, the 8 iron is offset but the 9 iron is brilliant and I use it most of the time from 100 yards in. The best club I have is an old classic Ping Anser. That replaced a Ray Cook aluminium putter that was really too light. I have to change my swing for almost every club. Like playing a links course even on parkland!!
Great vlog Peter; love the shots of you playing with that great music going on in the background. I do like a 5 wood to be honest and usually take mine when I opt for half-bag game. That putter you designed looks freakin' awesome; not too much bling, just the right amount Cheers
Great show again champ! I fully agree with irons screwing with your head! I really liked the look of the M5. Went to get fitted and ended up with the P790 2019. Absolutely amazing! You wont be sorry about making the switch! More forgiveness and better ball speed. For me it makes me swing easier knowing I can trust in my clubs!
Hi Pete, Love your channel and look forward to every content. Lots of folks have commented on how inspirational you are and I agree. I started playing again last year at 74, absolutely loving it. Regarding the balance of your activities, I would be kind to yourself and prioritize your practice and playing whilst you are still young... just my opinion. Best wishes whatever.
Great video Pete. Speaking of hot golf clubs I still have a ping G5 3 wood in my bag. It's been hot since the day I got it and it will be in my bag for the foreseeable future.
Well you've got the answer to the dilemma really. If you havent got that gut feeling with the irons and 3 wood then you should find what works best for you. It's not just about confidence of you don't feel it's right then with your experience you know exactly what you'd say to someone you were teaching if they had the same issue. So just trust your own judgement.
I'd really love a feature length fitting video when you go and reevaluate your irons, would be really interesting to see how a pro fares between 730's, 760's and 790's and of course different shaft weights etc
Pete every club in my bag is served cold except the P.760 . It is always piping hot. Whatever, nicer though. Please teach us to hit rising stinger. The main reason I can't have new clubs as the tax for the golf clubs is so high in our country that I have to go abroad to get new golf clubs.
feel your pain mate. set myself single figure goals this year and did not achieve them, but played my most consistent golf. mentally I'm there just doubles and trebles creep onto my card from nowhere. however, I`m good playing hole to hole and always play the course so chin up.
great vid as always Pierre. You will get one of those wins under your belt I'm sure. If you (and Mr Shiels) ever fancy a knock round a couple of courses on the sunny Isle of Wight with a couple of not so great players it would be a privilege to have you on our sunny rock. Keep the vids coming and good luck with next years Open qualifying.
Great video. It’s good to see that you seem to worry about the same things us regular golfers do, although at a different level. lol What’s hot in my bag is pretty much my whole bag. New driver and irons are working for me. What’s not is my 3 wood. I tend to hit the ground just behind the ball which kills the shot. Good luck in your tournament golf. You will get that ‘W’ before long.
Greetings Peter I have really enjoyed your videos this year and watching your journey, this was a great honest video, your sincerity about your game and goals was amazing I think every golfer can relate to your story on some level, i wish you the best of golfing in the future and look forward to see what magic sticks go in the bag next, also thanks for your tips they have been helpful and inspiring to help me be a better golfer and enjoy the game more, cheers and happy golfing aussie dave
Great video. I’ve been putting together my bag for the last year. Cobra F6+ driver, M2 3 wood, Nike Covert tour 5 wood, GAPR Hi 3. M2 2017 irons 5-GW TM MG 52 TM Hi Toe 58 TM Spider Arc putter. Thinking of a change of driver though 🤷🏻♂️
The 2 iron in the bag if it fills the gap between the 5 wood and driver👍🏽.....love my 2 irons (have the Srixon U65 and the P790 UDI (first version ).....different flights and depending the weather and course conditions it is the one or the other that goes in the bag
Hey Pete can you do a full what's in the bag video, not so much your club setup as we all know that but more the accessories and little things you carry on the course that might interest people. 👍
He has a club deal with TM. So basically this video is so useless, because he has only one manufacturers clubs. I hate that some youtubers take club deals. That makes them biased.
Just enjoy the game mate when I was younger I used to think about what went wrong instead of what went Wight I don't do that anymore I just enjoy playing golf
If you’re not sponsored by Taylormade like Mr Finch clearly is then try the Mizuno MP-20 HMB’s. For over a year I had my eyes on Taylormade P790’s, last weekend I got to hit them (2019 model) for the 1st time AND the new Mizuno MP-20 HMB. I could tell from the golf bidder second hand clubs video you did you wasnt to happy with those irons. Just the way you talked bout those titleist irons made me think that. I've never really liked taylormades irons myself, but those p790s I gotta say are really nice!!! I got to hit some couple weeks ago, really nice!!
can safely say my irons are not hot! Bought some new cobra irons at the start of the season and have had to send them back 3 times as the clubs heads cant stay attached! Great work on the videos Pete, and just keep chasing your dreams!
Keep them coming Pete! I’m confident you’ll find balance in the years to come. Would you maybe able to visit Transylvania’s best golf resort and play a couple of rounds? Let me know...
Hot: everything but the 3W. Made the switch to blades from AP2. Very demanding even for a low-handicap. I'll be switching back to a CB just for the security on those 2 mishits per round that put a 6 on the card.
I started playing golf in September 2018 and I started playing off 34. My goal for 2019 was to get down to 5 and now I’m 5.3 so now my goal is to try and get down to 3 by the end of the year
Hang in there Pete. I like the new HD camera work. I was fit for the Titlelist T200 irons with the recoil graphite shafts. They are sweet! I can see you swinging a set of these. Though your a Taylormade guy now go with the 730’s PW through 6 iron and then the 790’s. I think the 730’s are the pro blades? Cheers.
Ha ha ha that's best shot I ever hit to duffing the chip. Folks that's golf in a nutshell. We still still love you Pete and that smug look after the first shot with the p790
Keep going Pete, we are all hoping your reach your goals. Maybe taking us with you provides a extra level of pressure, maybe it helps you. Many thanks Pete ⛳⛳👍👍
Your humility and genuine love for the sport are really touching! Even after all these years, your videos motivate me to get out on the course. Keep it up Pete!
That’s golf for you.. best shot I’ve hit followed by the worst shot ..
Name of this is GOLF. It slaps you hard on the face every single time you think you're the man! haha

Thanks for leaving your chip in at 8:06. I've done the exact same thing. I don't feel so alone now!
Some of the best quality content that we are used to Pete.
Always a great watch, your videos flow like a river from heaven
Pete, seeing you duff that chip straight after hitting a perfect 2 iron stinger, makes me feel better about my own game. Thanks for keeping that shot in. 👍🏻
I watched the shot at 6:35 about 50 times. So satisfying. Stinger draw around the corner. Stop it Pete 💯
ok, will put this out there, if you are going to change out those irons this year, I will gladly take them off your hands and let them be maybe hot in my bag. lol. on serious note, I want to thank you for the channel and your content as a whole. Fantastic video Pete, the duff wedge only shows you’re human! 😂
I'm just glad he showed it. He coulda easily cut it out. Gotta take the good with the bad
Don’t get discouraged. Getting the first pro win is the hardest. You have the skills just need more confidence I think. I believe you can do it. Winners never quit quitters never win. You don’t strike me as a quitter.

A very honest video Pete. To say “what’s hot and not” and upfront takes guts. I’ve never tested the P760’s so don’t know what they’re like. 2 iron is a fabulous club.
The music choice in this video is excellent. Has to be the most relaxing video on UA-cam.

I just got that new P790 UDI last week...I am absolutely in love with it! I want to hit it as often as I can!
I love my round pro. Been using it for a month now and its great. Helps me keep track of what clubs I'm hitting well with and what I need help on.
Strike sounds pure af with your irons, keep up the good work. Love the content Pete.

I have the same shafts in my M6 irons. First bag fitting I have ever had and I couldn’t believe how much of a difference each shaft I tried made.
Love the putter. Personally I'd have some sort of alignment line but each to their own, it's definitely slick!
A nice high bounce (14-16deg) wedge makes those chips and pitches out of thick grass so much easier.
I love that video. The sound of your clubs especially that udi and your music choice 👍 and your natrual relaxed vibe is superb
Hot -driver , 3 wood , 7 wood , hybrid , wedges , putter
Not - irons , onto 3rd set this season , still not fully happy , but had the most fun this season in a while 🙂
Good vid Pete , keep on rockin
The trajectory with the UDI is insane!
Your ball striking is insane! Sounds fantastic!
Great whats in the Bag, and the cinematography is fantastic
All parts of the club must suit your game...obviously, the shaft is key...good vid, Pete...beautiful course
I’m happy to see the 2 iron back in the bag. I have the same issue with my Rocket 3 wood...it carries nearly the same as my M6 driver! Really good shafts in both the driver and iron.
Great vlog Peter; love the shots of you playing with that great music going on in the background.
I do like a 5 wood to be honest and usually take mine when I opt for half-bag game.
That putter you designed looks freakin' awesome; not too much bling, just the right amount

Solid bag. Love the 4w idea....imo best of both worlds

6.35,,, nice draw. That something that Rick can only dream about playing.
Great video Pete. Speaking of hot golf clubs I still have a ping G5 3 wood in my bag. It's been hot since the day I got it and it will be in my bag for the foreseeable future.
Just got myself a new Taylormade m6 fairway wood and oh my it’s a beautiful club to hit!
Well you've got the answer to the dilemma really. If you havent got that gut feeling with the irons and 3 wood then you should find what works best for you. You 100% have the best audio on your ball strikes on UA-cam, idk what your mic set up is like but every shot sounded amazing
Beautiful day, beautiful track.
Pete every club in my bag is served cold except the P.760 . It is always piping hot. Whatever, nicer though. Please teach us to hit rising stinger. The main reason I can't have new clubs as the tax for the golf clubs is so high in our country that I have to go abroad to get new golf clubs.

New camera/microphone? The strikes sound amazing!!!

Paul Barker would change the irons

I just got the brand new p790s and they are great!
That club sounds incredible
Admire your honesty about the state of your game.
Hey Pete can you do a full what's in the bag video, not so much your club setup as we all know that but more the accessories and little things you carry on the course that might interest people. 👍
Wow, so honest video! Greetings from Finland!
Putter hot, gets worse as i go up the bag! New sticks this winter and hopefully some swing improvements too....
I would dump the TM irons and get fitted for Mizunos.
Black always looks sick!!
That driving iron sounds AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩pity I could never hit it! Keep at it Pete, got absolute faith you can achieve all your goals.
The difference was night and day, MP-20 was so much better. Try them before blindly buying P790’s. You won’t regret it!
Love the video because I'm trying to find a three wood for tee shots only AND SO FAR I've failed I tend to go right to left with my three wood
Quick tip, Peter, cause I like you. Drop Taylormade and go Wilson. The 'milled face' is just a gimmick, ( its called CNC milling) it really means they are too lazy to finish/ polish the club. Enjoyed your game with Rick and, as usual, always good to see you two on the course together.
I always enjoy watching your show and know you
What's hot/not in my bag...
Hot my 5 iron Cleveland 588TT love it & rest of the irons
Not driver struggle to hit it straight keep slicing/fading it but never know when will happen. Mr Finch you need sort it out for me great video again 👍😆⛳
I about died inside after you hit that stinger and then duffed the chip.. best shot to worst shot. #thanksGolf
I play the p770. Love them!
My RBZ 3 wood
Monster off the tee....280 carry
Thats hot!!!!!!
It looks as if it's time for blades. I'm sure you will find the consistency your looking for. Perhaps p730 or the same as tiger.
Really cool video format Pete.
Always great vlogs Pete and nice look what’s in your bag
How relatable was 8.00 😂😂 'thats up there with the best shots I've ever hit'... Duff.
Great video. You have a following that will support you. Hope you keep on trying. Love watching your videos.
Hot: everything but the 3W.
Made the switch to blades from AP2. Very demanding even for a low-handicap. I'll be switching back to a CB just for the security on those 2 mishits per round that put a 6 on the card.
6:53 that ball changed directions 3 times!!! Crazy.
You hit it on the head! Finding the balance...it's so difficult to manage practice and family.
I started playing golf in September 2018 and I started playing off 34. My goal for 2019 was to get down to 5 and now I’m 5.3 so now my goal is to try and get down to 3 by the end of the year
Hey Pete, can you make a video on hitting mid to low irons like from 7 and below relating to changing swing compared to 9 and wedges
Cheers.
P790’s look awesome, looking forward to the vid from the TM HQ👍🏻
That driving iron shot though Pedro ? Wow @zacradford will notice that bling sting thing
Great video and would love to see the new fitting in a video as well!
Ha ha ha that's best shot I ever hit to duffing the chip. Folks that's golf in a nutshell. We still still love you Pete and that smug look after the first shot with the p790
I love Dunham, my mate is a member there, played it loads. Always struggle with that 4th hole back to club house 😩
Keep going Pete, we are all hoping your reach your goals. Maybe taking us with you provides a extra level of pressure, maybe it helps you. Many thanks Pete ⛳⛳👍👍
