The way you are driving the ball is just insane. It's just a pleasure watching you play golf atm and the quality of the production still just keeps getting better and better!
I hope you aren't too disheartened with how the round ended as you played some absolutely quality golf in that round. Your driver, putting and especially bunker play was superb!
Pete, this is the best I've seen you strike it in a while! Some of those bogeys were due to new club unknowns for distance, and then just the one mistake on the late par 3! You have a great game, a great new set of clubs and I love your chances for QFTO 2024!!
I loved what you did with trottie .. having multiple woods , hybrids and even some driving irons is a great idea to switch things in and out when needed
That is some recommendation from Pete, I have heard another tester say it’s not so easy to shape shots with it. For my golf being able to hit it straight where I am Aiming will do 99.99% of the time
It was interesting watching you setup for a big high cut with the Stealth, only to hit it dead straight (or a small draw) with the Ping and end up on the left side of fairways. Always takes time to get used to a new ball flight. Love the content as usual!
The swing speed is really helping with the control of your shots, and thge magical driver is perfect. A few loose shots but that was more distance than line and the putter had the measure of the greens. It was good that you called out the shot and then hit exactly what you had said. Looking forward to more of the journey.
Seeing you with a 4 and 7 wood and confident with them give ME confidence! I just picked up a classic Big Bertha War Bird 4 and 7 “Heaven” Wood. And I absolutely love them so much. I strike my straightest and best struck shots ever with them
You Sir have earned my Subscription the light-hearted self-deprecating Banter, has grown me to love your channel. Please continue with phenomenal content and Thank You Peter!
I just rebuilt my bag for the first time in 12 years. I went through loads of testing and I hadn't watched your bag build yet (I try not to go into new clubs with any preconceptions) and coincidentally I ended up with nearly the exact same bag with some small tweaks, so that's certainly encouraging. Hope my first round with them goes as well as yours did!
im invested in the peter finch experience so this comes from a place of genuine love ....from now until you qualify and earn your place in the open , PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get a caddy ..possibly even steal callum (i think it was callum) who caddied for you and fryer i think last year ....he was perfect for you and would genuinely make you a better player and far more relaxed and maintain within yourself and second guess some of your less than stellar course management from time to time .....seriously it will make the difference ...just look at what having someone help you with the reads int his round ...anyhoo thanks for being peter finch and to all your team always impressive work :)
Clubs worked wonderfully. Just a few slips of the mind on the way home. Stay in the swing, keep it going. I think we are on the verg of a great season!
Nothing better than new clubs. Love how you just got new clubs and rocked up to a hard course 😂 i got new irons and havent took them on my local yet. Striaght to the top tracer range my practice and yardages 1st and ill still top it, fat it and slice it all over thebplace anyway 😂
Could make these an hour long for me Pete. Maybe even longer! don’t be scared, golfers are used to committing several hour to golf. Be it playing or watching the pros.
Have to congratulate you on the editing... Finally a video amongst the myriad of youtubers that gives us that quick succession of shots. No frills about the colour of the buggy or how you got to the course or whatever, just quick fire succession of shots! thank you.
@@tatianamaria1 For me it was great , i want to see the shots and a brief narrative, not a long winded story about what they ordered for groceries this week... Straight to the point ;-0)
Wow, what a course to start on. Enjoyed it immensely well played. It's looking like the club set up has the potential to set up a great season that I look forward to watching. Bit different from our two courses in Nottingham, one of which is under water! Thank you for sharing!
Great video as always Pete. Your channel and Tubes&Ange Golf life are the only channels i watch now, great golf with humour 👌🏽 That Ping driver was on 🔥 and the irons look like the right choice too, love it 👍🏽
That was far more entertaining than the title suggested, and the straightest I’ve ever seen you play! Awesome golf! Not sure if it’s the new clubs or your state of mind with them, whatever it is, hope you keep it going!
Your self-deprecating humour makes your videos so enjoyable to watch. Btw - It's most honourable for you and the team to trek all that way to California to take on these courses when most are waterlogged or closed back in Blighty :-)
Great video Pete! Looked like you were really enjoying that round and got dialled in until that 16th hole kicked your butt 🫣 Mick and the boys doing fantastic work behind the scenes!
That 10th hole reminded me so much of the 18th at Riviera. And your 2 tee shots on the 12th went exactly where you aimed them, so I'd keep that driver a while.
Well done! Happy the clubs are working out. I've watched a lot of your training videos, but this was the first time joining you for a round. Keep it up!
Looks like a roaring success for the new clubs and for a good 14 holes there was a new sheriff in tempo town, great round Pete and great banter all the way round
I remember when charnock got a 430 and he was spraying all over the place, and ran back to his car to get his 425 back. I said he must've been fitted at Pong as he was hitting some right stinkers. I thought I'd have got more likes tbf.
I'd love to see more in-depth details about the WITB -- club lengths, lofts, lies, build specs like swing weight, anything other than standard tipping on the shafts, changes from the standard head weights, wedge grinds, etc., plus details on the golf ball you're playing this year and why.
This bag looks waaaay better and more playable than last year, Pete. A couple of hiccups on a tricky course. I’d say that’s a pretty good result for the first run out. I get a good vibe off this performance. Can’t wait for the next one!
Pete excellent ball striking! Because of you and I want to Thank You I purchased the Ping 10k in a 10.5 dialed it down to a 9 (Hooker)and it’s Longer and Straighter than any Driver I have ever owned…Ping should support you…can you imagine how many Drivers you have personally Sold for them…when it comes to Driver’s you are King 👑
Curious Pete if you saw some odd ball flights with the TP5. There are a lot of videos out there (Cut Golf Balls) showing that the cores of the balls are not centered and the cores are cracked. That would explain some of the ball flights that you had with good swings that were a little off on the course.
Regarding your drop on No. 12. The nearest point of relieve from the path would've been 2 ish feets deeper into the bush. If I recall correctly the ability to play the ball from that lie has no effect on where you have to drop the ball for relieve. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Narrow fairways but relatively still open to the green. Beautiful course! Greens look great too. A 7 wood could be handy there where you can drop tee shots in specific fairway areas without much roll out. The most narrow course I’ve ever played is Sahalee CC in Sammamish, WA. Take those fairways and grow some fir, cedar and hemlock straight up from just past the intermediate cut of rough! 1998 PGA Championship course hosting the KPMG Women’s PGA later in 2024.
Really enjoyed this episode, your self deprecating comments are so much more easy to listen to than some other smoke blowing big heads. And I think I learnt something from your swing I’ve been missing for some time, so thanks😁
At first I thought this course looked familiar but then realised on the par 3 5th that I’ve played this course so many times on gc quad. I didn’t realise when you said the name at the start but the elevated green and 2 bunkers on the left gave it away
What a spectacular course ! Nice play Pete apart from a couple of smelly shots, driver and putter look good and trusting the irons will come soon enough surely.
The way you are driving the ball is just insane. It's just a pleasure watching you play golf atm and the quality of the production still just keeps getting better and better!
Cheers Robin
Forever the youtube golf GOAT in my eyes! Such a desirable swing, always great commentary, never a boring video. Things we love to see👏🏼
I hope you aren't too disheartened with how the round ended as you played some absolutely quality golf in that round. Your driver, putting and especially bunker play was superb!
Nah all good, just ran out of steam
Pete, this is the best I've seen you strike it in a while! Some of those bogeys were due to new club unknowns for distance, and then just the one mistake on the late par 3!
You have a great game, a great new set of clubs and I love your chances for QFTO 2024!!
I loved what you did with trottie .. having multiple woods , hybrids and even some driving irons is a great idea to switch things in and out when needed
Pete's humour is just perfect for me. Really makes his videos so much fun to watch.
That bunker shot, "misread it", almost fell off my exercise bike laughing!!!
Stay safe!
I’ve always been a fan of Peter but in the past few months I’ve really come to love his videos. He’s hilarious and he can hit the ball hard.
Loving the talk over of the hole before playing it , good luck this year mate
Course designer: Ahhh yes, hole 2, they're still getting warmed up. Let's make it a terrifying par 3 to set the tone!
It’s quite the wake up call 😂
I think this is where phil plays to or used to play. I knew a bartender there and he said a plate of bacon with a bud light was his usual order
Not like Bamburgh Castle. 1st is a par 3 over part of the cliff
It is the number 14 handicap hole so second easiest on the front side.
Better a tough par 3 than a tough par 5
If your game is this solid to start the year, then I am truly excited to see your new open qualifying journey! Go get em, Pete.
Pete that driver is truly unbelievable. Ping should be reaching out to you.
That is some recommendation from Pete, I have heard another tester say it’s not so easy to shape shots with it. For my golf being able to hit it straight where I am
Aiming will do 99.99% of the time
We need more of these videos, just so relaxing to watch!
Really great use of the varying camera angles for your shots. Not all just the standard behind the ball view. Great video!!
Too many cuts.
It was interesting watching you setup for a big high cut with the Stealth, only to hit it dead straight (or a small draw) with the Ping and end up on the left side of fairways. Always takes time to get used to a new ball flight. Love the content as usual!

Pete I am so envious of those baby cuts off the tee. Seems like that driver is working well for you
Happy to see you hitting the new clubs well! Enjoy them and good luck with your continuing quest for the Open!
You Sir have earned my Subscription the light-hearted self-deprecating
Banter, has grown me to love your channel. Please continue with phenomenal content and Thank You Peter!
Great use of the rules for the drop from the bush and path. Micklesoneske!!!
Looked a good use of the the rules to me, Patrick Reed he is not.
Think you mean "Mickelsonesque"
Literally from hole 1… this was some of the best golf I’ve seen in a little while. That first approach was INSANE!
Love watching the progress. Especially when someone seems to be such a good dude. Good luck this year Pete!!!!
Your honesty about every shot you hit is admirable! Keep it that way mate!
I love this video. It gives me a good insight into what to look for on buying a set of clubs. Getting fitted is worth it. Keep up the great videos.
Great content Pete, luv the dialogue, quality of golf. Also shout out to ur production team, excellent edit.
Your content lately has been awesome. This format works for you really well Pete. Keep it coming
Hey Pete
You are becoming one of my favourite UA-cam golfers. Would like to see you compete professionally too, like the Bryan Bros
Range session with each club then little sticker on the shaft with average distance and H/M/L for flight window

This is the year Pete! Loving the bag set up and it seems to really compliment your game. Now to get that mind right 🧠 for open qualifiers.
Jesus.... that bunker shot on 3 had me all the way..... Great vid!!
Clubs worked wonderfully. Just a few slips of the mind on the way home. Stay in the swing, keep it going. I think we are on the verg of a great season!

One of the most enjoyable videos i have watched in a long time, fantastic production and great golf, don't worry about the end of the round too much.
Have to congratulate you on the editing...

this is all the proof i need for my wife, i need a whole new bag for my golf game to improve! best production in the youtube golfing world!
Really enjoyed the video. Well done and happy times with the new clubs. Superfan from Perth, Western Australia
Great video Pete! Looked like you were really enjoying that round and got dialled in until that 16th hole kicked your butt 🫣 Mick and the boys doing fantastic work behind the scenes!
I love youtube golf! Peter truly is the funniest guy out there. His content is the best of the lot.
Great vid lots of hope with the new sticks, glad you got used to the dreaded “straight shot “ with your new driver , enjoy the season
That 10th hole reminded me so much of the 18th at Riviera. And your 2 tee shots on the 12th went exactly where you aimed them, so I'd keep that driver a while.

Great video, excellent explanation of each shot and the graphics showing score, distance to pin and target line make the video so much better.
Really enjoying these course vlogs kinda videos. Playing some great stuff Pete. Always a good laugh 😊
Pete, will you be doing a yardage vid with the new clubs? Would be interested to see what you're hitting, especially on the irons.
Excellent video. Just golf with some genuine commentary. Well done.
How Pete has 611k Subs and Rick has 2.8 million boggles the mind. Pete is a much better golfer, and vids are a lot more entertaining.
They are both entertaining!
Really enjoying your game Mr. FInch! You are striking it with the New driver.. Love to see it!
Onward and upwards Pete, very hard course some fantastic shots some not so but overall +3 a good warm up for the quest. Keep it going. Great to watch.
I appreciate you sharing the difference in California greens to other areas. Love the vid congrats on the new clubs.
I love how we golfers wipe the sweat off our head before a thorough handshake. Shows who worked the hardest !
Love watching this. Only on the third hole, but I love this type of content. Thanks for the great video.
Ping should use the first 10 holes as advertising for that Driver. 🔥
😂

Seeing Pete hit the 10K almost tempts me to try one, I have a 2nd hand 425max and it’s been so good compared to my PXG
The video I’ve been looking forward to! Just played out here again today. Thanks Pete!
I'd love to see more in-depth details about the WITB -- club lengths, lofts, lies, build specs like swing weight, anything other than standard tipping on the shafts, changes from the standard head weights, wedge grinds, etc., plus details on the golf ball you're playing this year and why.
Oh hell yea - my vicarious new bag of clubs… Nice course, nice shots, nice vid.
Great golf. Some incredible strikes and your touch was really good too
Awesome job Peter! You're by far the best golfing UA-camr from England!
That was one of the most entertaining rounds of golf I've seen in ages, what a terrifying course. Love the driver 😁
This bag looks waaaay better and more playable than last year, Pete. A couple of hiccups on a tricky course. I’d say that’s a pretty good result for the first run out. I get a good vibe off this performance. Can’t wait for the next one!
What a round of golf Pete, new clubs on a new course. Impressive.
Rick needs to take note..... lovely watching you play well and enjoying it!
That course was a killer. Looking good Pete. Keep on truckin'.
Playing really well Pete - hope you have a good season in the pro comps you play in this year
Thoroughly enjoyed that, Pete & team! 🏌🏿♂️
Nice video thanks! Where is that course I live in Los Angeles I don't think I've played it, I've played most in the surrounding 100 miles or so.
What a nice bag Pete, you will have a great year on and off the course!
I really love my Mizuno wedges, 58 and 54. Best wedges I have ever hit and I have had Volkys and Cleveland wedges.
I saw myself on 16 green while you were on 15 green haha! Awesome playing Pete… The Farms is not easy with familiar clubs, let alone a brand new set!
How can you not like Pete, he is as genuine as they come. This man deserves to hit the big big time
Pete your swing is one of the’ smoothest on you tube. Looks effortless.

😂😂😂 with that bunkershot at 11 "misread it!" Had me in stitches..
Peter has such a great swing it's hard to imagine him ever playing bad. Also, he's so funny to watch, great content as usual.

Great Video. Well done Team Finch. And some great golf with really cool new clubs. You have the Masters in the bag sir. 👍💪
Loved this vlog Pete, one of your best!
Excited to see where you and the bag gets you this year!
Ping is really happy with this video 😅 great round 💥
Really enjoyed this episode, your self deprecating comments are so much more easy to listen to than some other smoke blowing big heads. And I think I learnt something from your swing I’ve been missing for some time, so thanks😁
This is TV quality, all the drone stuff, the shots from the grass, such a top quality video. 👌🏽 UA-cam Emmy

I can tell the difference in your game already. You will have a great year!
Loved the game. So close to being excellent. Looking forward to how well you will play as the season wears on😊
Eleventh hole - glad you began listening to me and stopped playing left off the tee. Great bunker play!
What a spectacular course ! Nice play Pete apart from a couple of smelly shots, driver and putter look good and trusting the irons will come soon enough surely.
One of the better course Vlogs Pete. Enjoyed that. Solid golf. Also - "opens up new browser tab to do more homework on Ping 10K".
Pete, that was the most bi-polar game of golf I have seen. Just looks like you need to get the yardage of all clubs and you'll be spot on.
