How does functional medicine differ from conventional medicine, and why is it preferred? What diseases can be treated by functional medicine, and how does it work? How can we combat declining fertility rates? What impact does hormonal birth control have on the body, and how can it be treated? I removed my breast implants back in 2016. There was not much info out there about explanting like there is now. I went back to the same surgeon that put them in. He charged me $2,000 with local anesthesia. They were out in less than 20 mins. I felt the pressure off my chest immediately! Best decision of my life.

    Being small breasted my whole life, I have never thought about doing something so drastic just for to look more feminine or sexy. We need to be comfident and learn to love our body how it is!

      I got mine due to what the surgeon called Extreme asymmetry and shape. They were two different sizes and completely different shapes. And I had lost some weight so the larger one had completely deflated. I was 21 at the time. I was also single. I didn't just want to feel a little bit more confident. I just didn't want to look like a freak. Had I known then what I know now, I just would have had a lift and had them reshaped. But I was basically told the only option was a lift, which I did need, and implants. So I went with it. It was fine for a few years but after two pregnancies, my hormones were all over the place. They didn't give us the full warning before 2017, because they weren't legally required to, so most of us didn't even know the full warnings. I have a online copy of everything they went over with me and what I signed in my records and it's not even in there

    My husband is a type one diabetic for over 40 years and during the height of COVID we went to his doctor. They wanted him to get the Covid shot because of his high risk status. He declined and we were asked why? We responded with the reasoning that he is relatively healthy and we felt his body was equipped to handle the virus effectively God willing. We were immediately scolded and told they were the ones educated and naturally more able to make this decision for us. The doctor actually got offended and tried to make us feel stupid.
    Long story short, no shot got Covid at least once and praise God his immune system did its job.

      Yes they are the doctors, however not one of them could tell you any of the ingredients in these shots! We as medical professionals (I'm a nurse) are not trained in anything other than looking for signs and symptoms of immediate reaction with new medications or immunizations. Reaction to his childhood immunizations and we thought we were going to lose him as he was in the hospital for 5 days with 105 fever that they couldn't break and we were told he'd be possibly brain damaged. He has mild autism but is functional, and we were the lucky ones. I went with one of my friends who wanted to stop giving the jabs to their children Who had horrible reactions every time, and the pediatrician got very angry with me when I asked her what was in the shots, she handed me a pamphlet and I told her I know what's in them do you know, can you list even two ingredients, and she yelled at me and told me to get out of her office! When I was a kid I got eight immunizations, kids these days get 72 total many of which are combinations and extremely toxic. Big pharma is the only industry on the planet that has ZERO liability when it comes to vaccines. It's criminal!

      it was crazy because i was pregnant with my first child right after the covid vaccine came out and i remember going to my first OB appointment during probably march of 21' (the vaccine came out december of 20') and my OB ridiculed me and was sooo rude to me because i said i hadn't taken it and i wasn't interested in getting it at that time. she said it was 100% safe and effective completely harmless and i didn't say anything to that but i was just thinking in my mind how could you possibly know that? do you actually know that or are my baby and i going to be your test subjects? are there going to be any repercussions if this vaccine causes me to miscarry my child?? she was sooo rude and hateful to me during all of my appointments and would always bring up the covid vaccine lol

      I regret the one I got because I thought it was right, and the second I got after my own research and talking my doctor. I suffered from breast implant illness for YEARS the last year I had them before I got them removed I felt like I was dying! I’m in my early 30s. I’ve had them out for 2 years now and as soon as I woke up after surgery I felt like I got my life back. Implants should be illegal and will never be worth it.

    I know two women who had their breast implants removed because they were always sick and doctors couldn’t figure out why. They had gained weight throughout the years and had severe joint pain to the point of not being able to function in life. I saw pictures of one when she had her implants and her face looked unhealthy. Immediately after they had them removed, they felt better and the next day looked healthier. My sister-in-law passed from breast cancer. A year after she had gotten implants her immune system shut down and the doctor couldn’t tell her why. Next year she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She refused to remove them and did holistic treatment and eventually chemo. She passed eight years after.

When I finally removed it (my partner actually removed it bc they again didn't react urgently when I practically begged them to take it out) I then realised my D, folate, b12 etc were all very low. Also had candida. Been taking black seed oil daily with methly folate, bcomplex, D3 K2 etc
    I also was diagnosed with Sjogrens alongside others. I suspect I have mthfr and those issues with Methylation as I've reacted negatively to so many things but this episode helped confirm I'm on the right track.

Autoimmune diseases don't just clear up, like that, on their own. So, I looked into getting mine removed. It took years but I eventually got them removed. QUESTION: What vegetables are good to include for Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism??! Thank you!!!

    • @drjoshaxe
      @drjoshaxe Місяць тому +5

      Here are some recommendations for Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism:
      Wild-caught fish, bone broth, chicken, grass-fed meat, coconut, fermented foods, cooked vegetables (ideally almost all cooked vegetables) such as asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, greens beans, carrots, celery, onions, pumpkin, squash, sweet potatoes, berries such as blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and goji berries, pears, plums, apples, rice, miso, beans and seaweed. Also, herbs like cinnamon, ginger, rosemary, turmeric and garlic are beneficial.
      I would stay away from a lot of raw foods, excess alcohol, unfermented gluten, non-raw fermented dairy, processed foods like white bread, potato chips, conventional salad dressings, etc.
      For supplements:
      One note, if you have hypothyroid without any autoimmune component I would suggest taking a kelp supplement for iodine. This can really benefit thyroid health and help reverse hypothyroidism. However, if you have Hashimotos DO NOT take iodine.
      7 most effective thyroid supplements to consider based on your needs:
      1. Ashwagandha. Balances stress and thyroid hormones. Start with 500 mg daily. Increase gradually to 1,250.
      2. Astragalus. It strengthens your organ systems and fights stress. Take 1,000 mg 1-2 times a day.
      3. Methylated B-Complex Vitamins: Take as directed
      4. SBO Probiotics. Support gut health and reduce inflammation. Take 50 billion IU daily.
      5. Bone Broth Protein: Improves gut health. 20g of collagen daily 1 scoop.
      6. Cordyceps mushrooms: strengths adrenals and thyroid gland. Take as directed.
      7. Thyroid glandular supplement: contains peptides that improve thyroid function. Take as directed.
      Lifestyle advice: Create more downtime doing things you enjoy, prioritize quality sleep, walk 10,000 steps (or 30 minutes ideally outside) daily, acupuncture, exercise with weight training a few days per week, spend more time in prayer, Christian meditation, read spiritual growth books, reduce time on digital devices, get in an infrared sauna or take a warm bath with epsom salts and spend time with a community of supportive friends.

    It is misleading and overgeneralizing to say that conventional medical doctors are not trained in nutrition or lifestyle. I grew up surrounded by people in the medical industry including many conventional medical doctors, including my father, and they all discussed nutrition and lifestyle changes before getting to any chemical medication. And more often than not, in the cases where nutrition and lifestyle changes would be the best option, it is not the doctors pushing drugs but the patient refusing to make the lifestyle changes. I do know that there are many doctors who push drugs for their own profit but I think in this general conversation about doctors and drug companies we need to not be so quick to vilify doctors when in a lot of cases they are trying to help people only to be met with an unwillingness to make hard lifestyle changes and that mentality is a large part of the problem. Also, continuing to vilify doctors and create fear and distrust of them can be dangerous. I know hearing all these things for the past few years has really played some mental games in my own head to the point where I refused to go to any doctor because the narrative is doctors are bad, greedy, and only trained in a way that benefits drug companies, etc. And then I was trying to reconcile that narrative with having a dad who is a doctor. We can’t make these blanket statements. Yes, ask questions and do research and make sure your doctor is one who will work with you and not just push meds. Because there are good conventional medical doctors out there.

      @prudentpenny Місяць тому

      generalizations are not absolutes. your father might be the minority of dr's that are ethical in that sense. but most of them (we seen in the last 3-4 years) are pushing drugs they have no idea what they do to people... the jab being one of them... and telling them if they don't get it they are putting everyone at risk of death or severe hospitalization; firing many nurses and doctors that refused to take the experiement... this happened and exposed most (not all) of them to not be real doctors but drug pushers.

I have had my fair share of doctors that just want to slap a prescription on my symptoms but I’ve had more doctors that are wanting to understand what’s going on with whatever issues I might be having at the time and looking at what non-medical interventions we can try before medications. From all my experience both with my own health and the health of family members and even jobs I’ve worked in the health field, I’ve seen more doctors that care and are informed about the whole body than doctors that just want to hand you a script so it’s always shocking to hear health and wellness experts tear down doctors because that is not he experience I have had most of my life and it’s not been the experience for most people i know.

      Thank you for this reply. My husband and I are both medical providers and I can assure you that we do not prescribe medications for financial incentives. Primary care docs are overworked and the burnout factor is real. I agree that many times it is the patients who do not want to make lifestyle changes and just want a quick fix. So the narrative that doctors are in it for the money only is misguided and frankly insulting. If we want to pin the problems we have in our healthcare system in this country on a group it should be the insurance industry. If we didn’t have to go around tending to the “quality metrics” they require we would have a lot more time to focus on patients. Not to mention the fact that every single insurance provider continues to decrease their reimbursement but we have to do more work for them. Meanwhile their executives are bringing in HUGE mind boggling amounts of money. As a private clinic with around 20 employees we sometimes barely break even. So no we are not financially incentivized by anyone, least of all the pharmaceutical industry!

I saw a functional medicine Dr. who utilized crystals in his practice to identify “unbalances” in the body, I quickly left his practice. Crystals are a new age practice.
