      “Powerful words”
So True!! The fact is that language inevitably becomes meaningful and powerful, that is beautiful, transcendent, sacred and metaphysical because our (faith) in the ability to convey “meaning” and purpose using language transcends “matter”!!
Reality and existence and in particular the qualities of experience such as language, that is “meaning”, purpose, the prescriptive laws of logic, love, that is intangible values such as Truth, goodness and objective morality are not made of “matter” they are made of what (matters)!!
“We actually have a domain of deep language. When we fall into the domain of the deep language we are in the domain of the sacred”
We have this innate sense of literary depth and meaningfulness. Some stories are shallow and meaningless, some stories are incredibly deep, poignant and meaningful, and everyone feels that and knows it with every ounce of their being!!
And everyone pretty much appreciates and accepts that. You experience it with music. You experience it when observing the beauty in nature and more so when you observe inner beauty in others!! Any art form or experience there’s shallow aspects and there’s deep aspects!! And deep aspects move you and they move you so deeply they have emotional resonance!! And they call to you and challenge you to listen as well! They call you to a better version of your self!!
      Continued….

I saw this movie in the movie theater with my sister's and a niece. After it was over no one in the theater said a word and all I saw was crying. Everyone just filled out of that theater and even outside walking to cars. No one was talking and it was like everyone was in slow motion. Never saw anything like it. Incredibly life changing for me.

I had a similar experience with my friends and I. There was a buzz in the theater, and then for two hours the realization set in, that at the end of the day, this larger then life figure, this God, was just a man. And for two hours we watched this man die slowly. It was one of the most bizarre experiences I’ve had in a movie theater. After words none of us said a word until we got back to my friends house, and even then it was like “that was a tough watch”.
Mel Gibson proved that movie magic is real, in that I believe I watched a snuff film, and can’t disassociate from that. I have no want or nagging need to rewatch that film.

Interesting observation. Yea, there's something that's quite deep & compelling that comes across. I feel like I've watched so many interviews that now I'm mixed up where Tim Ballard said certain things. I think he said, in filming of the movie, that James Caviezel, sudenly ad libbed when he said, "God's children are NOT for sale." That it came from a very deep place inside & prompted by the Holy Spirit. If I recall it correctly, Tim Ballard wz the one, who said, quite EMPHATICALLY he wanted James Caviezel 2 play him!!! B/c 2 ppl I think, didn't think he wz the guy, 1 being the Film Maker, who also plays a character in the movie. I hadn't seen the movie yet & fearing it might not be in the theaters long, I went 2 nites ago. I hadn't heard about it, mostly due 2 my health, I've bin home bound, BUT sudenly it popped up & kept watching & watching ppl's testimonials after. Sadly, b/c of working w/ teen moms 4 many yrs & starting a new ministry in a Christian Organization I worked 4 that it REALLY opened my eyes 2 a world inside my own city, that many didn't know existed. & I REALLY struggled at times, w/ the juxtaposition of living in where ppl & esp Christians didn't hve 2 & sum of that wz b/c they didn't want to know sum of the hidden reality 'in our own backyards!!! I didn't know ALL I'd be exposed 2 & the prevalence & graphic evil of sexual abuse & at times, their living conditions. BUT sudenly I couldn't also UNKNOW IT! On 1 hand we were reaching girls spiritually & in support & practical ways. BUT we faced some brutal & evil things & heard things I could NEVER UNHEAR! I wz very glad, that when I sensed God calling me 2 start this ministry, that He never told me about sum of the things I/we would face!! It wz UNDOUBTEDLY rewarding work & gradually there wz a team & community of women w/ the same heart & commitment working together. We were all part of sumthing greater than ourselves BUT also not alone, when sudenly facing brutal crisis's that we could not prepare. It wz also the hardest work I ever did. The stories & details of the sexual abuse just gutted me!!! Stories that were traumatizing 2 even hear & are forever etched on my heart & mind. I still recall 2x, when sudenly I started sobbing uncontrollably seemingly out of nowhere. The 1st time, I'd bin driving on a hi-way for hrs & all the stories together collided & it wz like the only way, I knew how 2 pray, or knew I was praying. Richard Foster calls it, "Suffering Prayer." I can't explain how sudenly came upon me & within & wz far deeper than any words I could've used. I finally had 2 pull over. We'd faced sumthing brutal that spring & I was on a summer break. The line where James Caviezel says "It can rip ur heart out." Sumthing 2 that effect, I felt deeply!!! At times, I'd be asked by oth Christians why wz I essentially putting myself thru this?! I never quite knew how 2 respond, when asked in a way I just didn't get?! We were all reading from the same Bible & knew Jesus' words, that at times there is a REAL cost in following Jesus & it will break ur heart. It definitely took its toll but sadly, at times it wz & still hard 2 keep the good things & young moms coming 2 know Jesus at the 4front cuz the brutal things were so hard. Idk, who or what speaker I 1st heard this from say or pray "May the things that break the heart of God, break our hearts." Sadly, after watching the movie a) ALL the more, I just don't get what all the controversy is about. b) BUT I wzn't shocked EITHER like sum were. The scene I found the HARDEST during & started crying, when I voiced it later, is when the girl is rescued in Ecuador in the area where nobody went due to the Rebel Army. I found it EXTREMELY HARD, that ALL the other children were left there!! And that sumhow a bigger tactical team couldn't get in cuz they only had 1 chance!! Don't get me wrong, of course I wz SO HAPPY 4 that little girl, that sudenly from fear she knew he wz there 2 rescue her & NOT 2 harm her & seeing her father ESP & brother reunited! But I also contrast seeing when so many kids were rescued, ALL at once from that Island & after u see them smiling & laughing & all sudenly playing on the drums, its the 1st time, the 1 man says "U hear that? That's the Sound of Freedom." 2 seeing the 1 girl freed & now beating her drum & hearing her play "The Sound of Freedom" BUT equally knowing in my brain, the rest are still there! In that little scene, she's playing but she isn't smiling. Is she thinking of her friends left behind?! The ONLY thing I/we can do is REALLY 4 those kids & pray 4 some type of miracle!!! I DID a few yrs ago now, see African children from Uganda in a special church service. They were freed, & the Rebel Army is no longer where they were in Uganda. AND these children were kept in special homes made for them in a community with each have a few adults essentially be parents. It wasn't 1 big orphanage. This ministry wanted to give them homes & adults who would be not staff BUT loving parents!!! "May the things that break God's heart ❤️ break ours" 💔
      ✝️🙏❤️🙏😭🙏💔🙏😢🙏❤️✝️
I actualy don't think I realize til writing this, how much that stayed w/ me. It's tangible, but haunting. A picture forever etched into my mind. I don't know if this wz intentional, but she didn't smile like the others. Not sure if she wz also praying in her own way beating the drum as a prayer also 4 her friends not rescued. Some yrs ago, I think it wz in Uganda, having a friend who worked on a global scale & saw the aftermath of so many awful things. I recall him talking the most, about seeing the carnage of massive, massive piles after the Genocide in Rwanda, & him telling me about the movie "Hotel Rwanda" when the owner helping save many, at 1 pt there's an image of a pile but it's kinda foggy & 1st he sudenly hears as he's driving the sound of breaking & crushing & in horror realizes it's the sound of bones breaking of a tribe of ppl just slaughtered & my friend had told me, that they didn't & possibly couldn't portray how much & how vast it wz!!!! And the oth wz seeing kidnapped boys forced into becoming child soldiers in Uganda & describing the blank, just vacant & cold eyes from being forced to do atrocities. There were many things he saw over several yrs, but those 2 stuck out & obviously 4 me. The evil that mankind can do 2 oths wz far worse than seeing the devastation after any natural disaster. BUT it wz later & honestly, Idk, it might've bin on Oprah, I don't recall, they called them "The Night Commuters." And showed kids were doing in Uganda in the early 2000s, 4 many yrs, when children were being abducted at nite & 4ced into becoming child soldiers in the Rebel Army or girls used for sexual & oth purposes. Many of these kids parents had bin killed but they began to save each other from being abducted by running every single nite, as soon as it wz dark, while the rest of the world went to sleep. They'd run just 2 not be abducted, where there wzn't any shelter, BUT they'd be safe 4 one more nite & save each other. So I struggled more after the watching "Sound of Freedom", & the kids not saved & held in the rebel Army in Ecuador. The only thing I REALLY wished we could have seen, was kids in the U.S. being found & rescued!!!! I'm sure it will MAKE ANYONE
WATCH more carefully if we see something even a little off!!! ( Gosh, I didn't mean 2 say so much. I couldn't have done a testimonial right after "The Passion of Christ" as those of us leading ministries were interviewed, I was still speechless. I am seeing now, why I couldn't have made a testimonial video after watching "Sound of Freedom."

    • @tammyboon6259

I didn't mean to, but it was like, I was led into writing a journal entry. Some people can readily say, how something impacted them as I watched a # of testimonials. This one woman who was obviously younger than me, only could compare it to Schindler's List. My suspicion is she was probably young when the Genocide in Rwanda took place.
There's a few movies I've seen reflecting what happened in parts of Africa. But I was really touched by her. AND she did have an Christian Organization in the U.S. that she shared. I was & think I told her how APPRECIATIVE I was, b/c this is NOT the 1st time, I've heard about this happening in the U.S. BUT for me, it usually takes a bit the more the deeper it has affected me, to articulate what seems impossible!!! And sometimes I don't realize that I am still absorbing something. I keep trying to remind myself to find the verse shared, by maybe James Caviezel on one show that are words that Jesus says harshly to those who harm children.

I am alive because Jesus came back for me as I was near death stressing about what we were designed to not worry about. I leave it all in God's hands now. BUT there's an interview, I was shocked at how funny he can be?!?! I was a little thrown off guard, that Tim Ballard is actually a Mormon.
I don't think I saw this til after the movie.
James was on playing on some game show & the guy was also Catholic. I don't know how I stumbled across it. But it was a bit of a drinking game. And it was yes, no game, but they had to guess what the other person's answer was. There was definitely serious questions. But I didn't really know for sure til that game & led by a Catholic host, that Jane's Caviezel was Catholic & Tim Ballard was Mormon. I even put CC on to make sure I got it right. And I did.
Why it came out, the host had had a margarita or something?! Suddenly James said, I know your Mormon & don't drink alcohol. But as soon as James knew that the Host had alcohol & James must've been given water, he kept taking the Host's drink, if he was to take a sip. I actually really didn't notice until Tim Ballard finally laughed at how James kept taking and drinking out of the same glass in the other side. 😂 But the Host didn't seem to mind. Mind you, I forget that sometimes communion is served or shared from one glass, in certain traditions. I was at an Anglican service once, & they did, but for those not comfortable they had a different option. It just dawned on me, that for both men, they were probably pretty accustomed to this practice and that's why it didn't bother neither. I was curious a little bit at how do they talk about their faiths privately to one another?!?! I can't see how they wouldn't.
But in most interviews by Christian leaders it was James & the guy who made the film who were both Christians. So this game, showed James' humour & funny side!!!! And he can do a few great impressions of a few actors.

Well Mel Gibson isn't necessarily who I would've thought as the guy to make the make the movie. He has been open about his many flaws since the 1st time I heard him interviewed by Barbara Walters. I've said, I think he has bit of gruff, & tortured soul, & yet this determination, & unyielding passion for his projects. But he's made some mistakes too that haven't painted him in the best light. I was very sad, that when his marriage of so many years ended in divorce. Mel Gibson was pretty honest, that she really helped to ground him & said very openly that he an addicted personality. That he easily got addicted anything. But he doesn't pretty to be what he's not. And I do respect that. Rather than trying present yourself as perfect BUT living a secret & hypocritical life.

@@tammyboon6259 We all fall short of the glory of God. Mel, like every man or woman, is flawed because we are mortal. As a Christian, I’ve done things I’m not proud of. But Jesus forgives us our sins, and desires we are truly repentant so we don’t repeat the same transgression. It’s not an easy journey, especially since the world hates Christians. Jesus warned His followers their lives would be difficult in following Him. Any transgression made by a Christian, especially someone like Mel Gibson, will follow him forever because of his faith. Someone, who’s not a believer, will not face the same scrutiny. The earth belongs to the Dark Prince, Satan, who[s goal is to steal souls from God. Shaming Christians, using others to denounce them, is just one of his many tricks. Knowing Christ, and the unconditional love He provides, gives the greatest peace and comfort. God Bless You and Yours.
