Frederique, you just EXUDE such joy and playfulness that your videos are delightful to watch! 👏🥰 Here’s a tip for some of us a bit older than you whom have ‘lost’ their waistlines: If I want to cinch in a loose top or dress; I use a thin belt, and wear it loosely on my hip and let it drop at an angle to the other side. This draws the eye down - like a wrap dress would - elongating the body and not cutting me off in my middle. Also do this with a scarf! Really looks good.😌 🙋♀️🇺🇸🥰🤗👏

Thank you for these great tips and advice! Sometimes I’ll use the fabric belt that comes with a dress as a thin scarf around my neck or as a headband or tie around my ponytail 😘

Here's a way you can remember if it's a loop or a hoop. Loops are Lower on the body (trouser loops) and Hoops are Higher on the body (hoop earrings) :). Can you tell I'm a teacher, I use the alphabet to try and remember things all the time, works a treat. Hope it helps. Nice video, thanks!

I wear scarves around my waist a lot, as they always fit 😊 and I like the feeling of support a belt gives me, not sure why ? One more suggestion for the raffia/straw belt that is too long if you don’t have belt loops on your garment - try a large barrette clipped around it where it ends instead of a paper clip or a hair elastic. A scrunchie could work as well.

Fashion tape is the BEST tip I've ever come across. I ordered while you were still talking about belts. I am so excited for it to come. I use tape all the time on jewelery, clothes and shoes (sticking slingbacks to tights) but it's such a fumble- can't wait for the fashion tape to change my life- thanks frederique!!!

Thank you for the tips, I love the scarf as a belt and tying the self belt in the back!! That will help me a lot, sometimes the fabric belt look best as it continues the colour.

I struggle with proportion. Namely blazers with pants/jeans and what to wear underneath. Seems so simple but something always looks off, maybe the Jeans waist is competing with the blazer waist not sure…And styles or lengths of blazers with what bottoms? …what to wear underneath and how to style it. Not sure if anyone else struggles with proportion and separates?! Thanks so much!! Xx

That’s so funny hairdressers use Bobby pins to hold the end of the belt, I’ve also tucked the end back in. I love the double sided tape idea the best! Can we wear certain belts with certain dresses, maybe learning the rules of which belt goes with what would be an inspiration! Thankyou as always for the thoughtful videos you bring to us! What fun, and can’t we bring belts back everyone? It can make an outfit so put together!

My favorite belt is not a designer one but a beautiful hand tooled leather one with a beautiful silver buckle from Arizona. I can wear it with trousers or over a loose shirt I love it💜💜 your belt organization is super👍 and love a scarf as a belt tres chic

I go by color and the item type. Suit/pants/skirts/dresses/ long sleeve blouses and shirt sleeves by color.
