George's beautiful tribute to John. And what a magnificent song it was. Thanks guys for the 'ride', all those years ago. I still haven't got off it 😊🎉❤
I play this so often. And every time I cry. It was heart wrenching when we had lost John. Now it’s totally heartbreaking because we’ve lost George too.
Listening to George Harrison singing All Those Years Ago and presenting pictures of the Beatles performing while he sings just brings tears to my eyes. They were so great and beautiful. The Beatles will be forever remembered as one of the best musical groups of the 60’s and 70’s.
36. I didn't like the feeling of having an extra decade put on top of it, otherwise I would have left it. Unless you're from the future, in which case, go about your business and don't mind me.
I smiled when George gave this charm! I knew and watched the battering the boys took from gov and simplistic listeners, not followers! They did it from the start, knew where they stood ....took the hits but still ...hit back.
I'm shouting all about love While they treated you like a dog When you were the one who had made it so clear All those years ago I'm talking all about how to give They don't act with much honesty But you point the way to the truth when you say All you need is love [Chorus] Living with good and bad I always looked up to you Now we're left cold and sad By someone the devil's best friend Someone who offended all We're living in a bad dream They've forgotten all about mankind And you were the one they backed up to the wall All those years ago You were the one who imagined it all All those years ago All those years ago All those years ago Deep in the darkest night I send out a prayer to you Now in the world of light Where the spirit free of lies And all else that we despised They've forgotten all about God He's the only reason we exist Yet you were the one that they said was so weird All those years ago You said it all though not many had ears All those years ago You had control of our smiles and our tears All those years ago All those years ago All those years ago
Great job in posting this, very well done, arranged and goes so well with the song...george was/ is so special a soul, talent, musician and good, giving man that gave the world so many good songs,as did his best pals, and this song was written for one of those best pals....be ever in joy, peace and thanks george
When I Read The News That George Martin Died, This Song Could Be A Tribute To John Lennon, George Harrison & George Martin. R.I.P. John Lennon, George Harrison & George Martin.
For me the Beatles started out as 4 boys and had to grow up very quickly due to all of their musical and financial successes! Then as individuals and at different times became men with very complex lives that essentially drove them apart as a group and I am sure it at least eroded their friendship but true friendship is never destroyed! As usual the media did not help at all and all 4 were far too often misquoted to sell magazines and the like! It is very tragic that John and George are gone and we really never got to see the 4 very good friends doing what good friends do for each other as they get old! We can see this today with how Paul and Ringo collaborate on music and it is very easy to see they thoroughly enjoy each other’s company! This piece of music is just one of many that all 4 have produced that could only come from the heart! And that is a very good thing!
The part at 2:30 is when John is doing his version of "Stand By Me" Written by The Late Jerry Lieber (Words) (RIP) Mike Stoller (Music) which is now one of the most popular songs of all time. It is now part of History since it was performed at Harry & Megan's Wedding. They didn't realize it but one of their influences Elvis had alot of hits written for him by them most notably Jailhouse Rock and they did their Version of "Kansas City" by Wilbert Harris.
This sounds so much like a Jeff Lynne/ E.L.O. song. Knowing what would happen only a few years later with the Traveling Wilbury's, no wonder George and Jeff became such good friends.
John Lennon. England's greatest contribution to the arts and sciences. This song is about true brotherly love. I pray to John too. They 'rosemary's baby'ied him.
George hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 7/4/81 and stayed there for three weeks, held out of #1 by Kim Carnes' "Bette Davis Eyes". Thanks for posting it! :)
This is not the original video but what you did was to edit again from different footage and to approximate when possible the old music video, and to supply new but similar footage for those that can't be replaced, maiking this HD version very important. Thanks for this.
Estoy llorando y se que este es el primer comentario en español,jhon lennon te amoo.. eres el mejor del mundooo!!:.. hasta el mismo Dios te admiraba demasiado.... todos los humanos te tenian envidiaaa jhon lennonnnn!!... :(
That was from a UK TV program in 1963 or 1964. It is featured in one of the early segments of the Beatles Anthology and I think I have that clip on my channel under Beatles Big Night Out.
@AdamGrossman777 I don't think that George necessarily meant that John told them about God, but that people have forgotten about God. Of the Four Beatles, George was the most religious, so I'm that was a little of his personality flowing in the song. That's my take on it.

It was heart wrenching when we had lost John.
Now it’s totally heartbreaking because we’ve lost George too.
This is seriously one of my favorite songs ever.
mine as well
And mine. Such a "bloke" song about the younger man saying "I always looked up to you"
Listening to George Harrison singing All Those Years Ago and presenting pictures of the Beatles performing while he sings just brings tears to my eyes. They were so great and beautiful. The Beatles will be forever remembered as one of the best musical groups of the 60’s and 70’s.
Best ever
The greatest band in history.
thy don't act with much honesty, but you point the way to the truth when you say "all you need is love" ... bro, this line is so sentimental
It will be 20 years this year since George left us 😭😭😭
This song is even more sad now that George Harrison has passed away too. :( RIP John and George. Best tribute song ever.
Un milagro es poco George HARRISON ....no muchos pueden decir eso
Inigualable el mejor dios es un privilegiado la guitarra mágica de Jorge
Yes like 20 years ago
The Beatles were just Fab ❤
John wasn't always nice to George but George still loved him... I hope they're playing music in heaven.
I wasn't there
Daniel Hernandez dont true John always love him john was a support for George!
Yup!
@Janetta Martin You may be right, that was a really toxic way of correcting them.
@Janetta Martin calm down
One of the greatest songs of all time
Tra le più belle canzoni! Per sempre George e John, I migliori!! Mitici, vi ringrazierò tutta la vita per essere esistiti!!!
I love the piece of a hard day's night, when George falls while running.. and that laugh of Lennon :D
One of George hit song he dedicated for his best friend John Lennon, I love it
The older I get, the more difficult it is to watch this video. Back then, I thought it was forever.
Sad that George died only 20 years after this song
RIP John and George
Tomorrow will be 46 years we lost John all those years ago. (RIP, John and George...)
36. I didn't like the feeling of having an extra decade put on top of it, otherwise I would have left it. Unless you're from the future, in which case, go about your business and don't mind me.
Dec. 8th, 1980
Someone doesn't know how to maths lol 36 at the time of writing, now 38.
Dec 8 1980 40 years
A friendship that will last forever and will be in music history
Grande George ❤❤
My favorite of all the John Lennon tribute songs. Gets better everytime I listen to it. Thanx for posting.
They should've called this a Beatles song! But, I'm still glad its George with help from Paul, Ringo. 🚶🏽♂️🚶🏽♂️🚶🏽♂️🚶🏽♂️🚶🏽♂️ 🎸 🥁
I smiled when George gave this charm! I knew and watched the battering the boys took from gov and simplistic listeners, not followers! They did it from the start, knew where they stood ....took the hits but still ...hit back.
They really enjoyed play music together. I'm sure they are playing great songs to all the people are with them in heaven
Without Bettie Davis Eyes, this song had be Billboard No.1.
I'm shouting all about love
While they treated you like a dog
When you were the one who had made it so clear
All those years ago
I'm talking all about how to give
They don't act with much honesty
But you point the way to the truth when you say
All you need is love
[Chorus]
Living with good and bad
I always looked up to you
Now we're left cold and sad
By someone the devil's best friend
Someone who offended all
We're living in a bad dream
They've forgotten all about mankind
And you were the one they backed up to the wall
All those years ago
You were the one who imagined it all
All those years ago
All those years ago
All those years ago
Deep in the darkest night
I send out a prayer to you
Now in the world of light
Where the spirit free of lies
And all else that we despised
They've forgotten all about God
He's the only reason we exist
Yet you were the one that they said was so weird
All those years ago
You said it all though not many had ears
All those years ago
You had control of our smiles and our tears
All those years ago
All those years ago
All those years ago
Beautiful, always loved this one, too. You can't help but smile and cry during this.
George Harrison is always my favourite Beatle.
Man this still hurts. For both George and John. RIP lads

one of Harrison's most emotional songs apart from here comes the sun and something
When I Read The News That George Martin Died, This Song Could Be A Tribute To John Lennon, George Harrison & George Martin. R.I.P. John Lennon, George Harrison & George Martin.
Everyone gets old. I can imagine the pain, Paul, Jane, Patti, Ringo, and Yoko must be feeling. Losing pals from long ago.
This song and Elton John 's "Empty Garden (Hey Johnny)" are excellent and very fitting tributes to John Lennon.
They were and are the best.
Love this song so much .thank you George
No decade will ever top the 70's!!!
George pulled no punches when he called Mark Coward Chapman "The devil's best friend". And if GH was still with us, I'd shake his hand for that!
Amazing George was Pauls friend at the start, but grew to love John this says it all
For me the Beatles started out as 4 boys and had to grow up very quickly due to all of their musical and financial successes! Love this brilliant tune . Superb .
A great song, only reason it didnt hit # 1 in the US was it was released around the same time the #1 song of the year, Bette Davis Eyes, was released.
bucky468 I agree, this song is better than the medley. You are 100% correct.
And Olivia Newton Johns lets get physical
This is a great song
This is not the original video but what you did was to edit again from different footage and to approximate when possible the old music video, and to supply new but similar footage for those that can't be replaced, maiking this HD version very important. Thanks for this.

You recreated the original video almost perfectly.... Good job lad!
One my favorites..
Thank you ...that was wonderfull.
George loved John, even though John often mocked his religious beliefs, and in the pre-Beatle years, called George, 'that kid'.
Amo de paixão...❤
R I P both of you.
That was from a UK TV program in 1963 or 1964. It is featured in one of the early segments of the Beatles Anthology and I think I have that clip on my channel under Beatles Big Night Out.
ג'ורג' האריסון בשיר חברות מושלם לג'ון לנון.
MY FAVORITE BEATLE/ WASHINGTON L CAMPOS FROM BRAZIL.
Tears on my keyboard.
@AdamGrossman777 I don't think that George necessarily meant that John told them about God, but that people have forgotten about God. Of the Four Beatles, George was the most religious, so I'm that was a little of his personality flowing in the song. That's my take on it.
Ahora ambos ven el pasar de aquellos cielos desde algún cielo... desde el mejor de los cielos
Not a bad band to be fair! Three geniuses. Unfair.
Only three? What's wrong with Paul?
Amo!!!
