While talking about devs replying to comments asking questions about the game, i actually wonder if they could improve on that lightning and thunder, mostly the thunder sound, i think it's coming in too early with the lightning basically, usually it depends on distance, so i would like to see that in the game where depending on how far the lighting stricked it would take the accurate or appropriate amount of time for the sound to reach you. Also depending on the weather could the bystanders actually be effected ? Or at least look like they may be affected, ya know, instead of standing casually in casual clothing while serious weather is going on. These don't matter much if at all really, i'm just asking and or wondering if they COULD be improved, none the less they are minor details really that don't matter too much, still think it's amazing overall.

I was already interested, but knowing this is from ex-Evolution Studios has shot my interest up by a lot. I loved OnRush, but it definitely wasn't for everyone, and I think this will probably end up selling better. Nice to see Dirt with a little bit of that Motorstorm flair 😉

The shit on the side of the road like gravel and rock looks really repetitive, the grass and little bushes seems out of place too, it's just feels so weird and I can't take my eyes off of it
i know the global warming is degerous but i think the weather change too much brutally so if codemaster can hear me the weather is beautifull but it change to fast. or you can make 3 laps (basic) and it change halved or you can make endurance race with 5-8 laps and the weather change normally but i say it again the weather change to fast. that was my opinion for maybe makes the games better because nothing is perfect.
As you can notice, the clip is edited. Weather changes halfway in the lap 2 if you watched the other gameplay of the same Norway track (on average, each lap of the track lasts in a minute on a rally car). Also in Driveclub, you can set the lap for like 20 and the dynamic weather will adjust to that, so maybe the same can just be expected with this, but a "precipitation rate" slider would be a good addition for that.
On launch you'll be able to CHOOSE how quickly the weather dynamically changes, so you can have more realistic weather changes, or make it change even faster :)
I'm more excited for the winged sprints cars than I am anything else. Finally I been saying that calling a game Dirt yet they don't have dirt racing on oval tracks (winged sprints, quarter midgets, ect) FINALLY
I've played several Dirt games and tbh. If you've been playing arcade racing games sorta like nfs. Its gonna be a big change in handling and controlling the car. Its a lot more challenging at first and if your into that stuff, you'll absolutely love dirt. Just take note, you will crash a lot getting used to the handling

I think those who find it hard are those who seem to only think about how to play a game based on "realism" and not be good at adapting or learning.

Idc for how long you have been playing your sim games like iRacing(a good game btw). This was about Dirt 5, an obvious semi-arcade racer, your sim racing argument is invalid here. If anything, a game can look good regardless of what it's genre is supposed to be. And since DriveClub managed to pull it off on a console no less, Dirt 5 development is just lazy trash work. GT Sports, Forza Motorsport 7 or even ACC are more of a sim racers but still looks beautiful.
The gameplay looks amazing, but will it have the same always online system as Dirt Rally 2.0? I was completely locked out of the game. I used the version from the Xbox pass and the safefile got corrupted on the server side and thus I couldn't even reach the menu. I tried reinstalling, but it didn't fix it. The enormous size meant that it took two days to download it! Thus I left a one star review, uninstalled it and won't ever buy a game which uses that system!
Hell even in most racing games there's not even enough tire smoke. I guess it'll hurt the frames or in multiplayer lag the hell out of everyone with rendering it. The last game I remember with a really great dirt trail was probably the original dirt, and for tire smoke it was Gran Turismo and the old ps2 era of single series Sims like NASCAR thunder where it lingered a bit. I wonder what happened.
