No problem 😊 I work at a dealership and its so expensive for simple things. I had to tell a customer the other day to install mudflaps we charge 1 hour labor and thats so stupid. I would have changed them .3 which is $43.5 and she wanted to change 155 smh. So I'm happy I'm able to help people save money with my Indian business sense 😆 🤣 😂 😹
I didnt think this worked about 60miles of driving i felt my steering wheel pull slightly looked down all the lights were off. Saved me my dude! Ty ty ty ty for the vid
I noticed two faukts on ours when it got knocked loose from snowbank contact, nothing busted it just got moved from it's calibrated position, I was able to snap it back in place, After that all the lights turn off while driving
i hit a curb right on that sensor plate. there was just a little scratch to the plastic plate and i didn’t think much of it. but now the cmbs system gives me the “BRAKE” notification even when nothing hazardous is there and it will even try to brake for me in an inappropriate moment and that has been so scary. do i need to replace the plastic plate that goes on the outside since the one i have is scraped and maybe the sensor is sensing that?
My car 2019 Honda Odyssey has the same warning lights : ACC, LKAS, RDMS, Collision Mitigation System problem. Any idea where I can find the radar? And how to fix it? Thank you so much
I can get the cover most of the way off but it won't come out at the end. I don't see any little clips that slide in like yours and I don't want to pull it and breake it. :(
Go here www.hondapartsonline.net/ Put your vin in. Then look up the bumper and see how the insert goes into the bumper and where the tabs are. Hopefully that can help you
@@bhostetter1978 use the site as a reference. Or when you try to put it back together you'll find out then if it falls out. But I think you'll be fine.
@@MRdjDICKEY Damn, I think I have to get mine recalibrated. They want $600. I guess I can try a battery disconnect first. I hit a traffic cone in the middle of the highway at night. Thank for the quick reply.
The dealership was only able to erase some of them. My radar sensor looks straight, but when I pull it from the bottom, it moves out. What do you think I should do?
Is the battery reconnect necessary to fix the issue? My civic got hit, too, but the errors didn't gone even the radar was tightened. Do you have any suggestions? THanks
Bro thank you, it worked for me. Your zip ties hold up most of the time ? Like for car washes, or when it’s time for a service and mechanics mess with it a bit?
Thanks for uploading this video! Cable ties don't seem to fit through the bracket holes for me. Did you have to force them through or buy a different size?
The video i been looking for for a year now mines a little more fucked then that i gotta do some bending and welding to my bracket frist but ill mess around with it more tomorrow get a good drive in to see if it works i do have one question do i have to drive for a bit frist or it should work right away
I checked mine and I’m missing a screw. Must’ve worked it’s way out, no evidence of impact. There’s play in the sensor, it locks in two positions up and down. Going to buy zip ties now.
I can’t open that part.. my finger already gets hurt but it can’t be opened.. i went to homda service n they asked me 139 for only diagnosis..then visited body shop n they said first u need to get a doc from insurance n then come back to take an app n then we’ll see.. will take couple weeks.. idk what to do.. waitin response from insurance that they come for auto damage inspection.. front bumper is ok but sensing doesn’t work.. i have 500 deductible which i dont wanna pay anything rn so i wish i could fix it by myself.. i think mine is not broken, maybe it’s just disconnected or whatever..
You'll have to pry it open it may be stuck. Just use a flathead screwdriver and take your time. Check the radar and see if the mounting screws and bracket are broken.
Disconnect your negative battery terminal and leave it off for like 10 minutes and then reconnect and drive for like 1km and it should be ok after that.
Well, just last night while driving, coyote hit my car n broke bumper little bit n crashed plate number, last but least, it caused some system issues. Following: Road Departure/Mitigation System Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control Problem and Brake System Problem. What should I do? Is it anything that serious problem? I mean should I take it to service? I already wiped down every part but didn’t work for me.. Please help me. Thanks in advance n happy new year
If the radar plate is broken or not sitting flush and secured properly it will cause issues. I would check that 1st. The radar is on the driver side behind the plastic plate if there is no fog light. After checking that and making sure it's secured i would disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 10 minutes. Then connect it back up and take it for a drive and after about 5 minutes of driving it should re calibrate itself. If it doesn't and the warning stay on the radar system may have an error that needs to be reset or actual calibration needs to be done by the dealership. Best of luck.
Thanks for the video my guy… luckily my girls car still had everything intact it’s just that it was loose so I just tightened everything up and boom 💯

Np. Save diagnostic fees.
It took you 60 miles of driving for the code to go away?

Google it or walk into the dealer for advice. That's what I did.

Nvm I got it. I just had to put some muscle into it. I can't tell if the bracket is broken though.
@@bhostetter1978 use the site as a reference. Or when you try to put it back together you'll find out then if it falls out. But I think you'll be fine.
So after mounting it back into position with the zip ties you didn't have to calibrate anything?
@JakoMako89 no I was lucky. I did a battery disconnect and it was fine.
@@MRdjDICKEY Damn, I think I have to get mine recalibrated. They want $600. I guess I can try a battery disconnect first. I hit a traffic cone in the middle of the highway at night. Thank for the quick reply.
So mine is lose on the top right screw so if I just zip tie it, it should work? No recalibration or anything?
@WIZZKICKZ do a battery disconnect and then drive and it should reset
@ what would I do that for that if u could just simply explain
The dealership was only able to erase some of them. My radar sensor looks straight, but when I pull it from the bottom, it moves out. What do you think I should do?
You need to secure it better if its moving you'll run into issues. I used zip ties to hold it securely in place.
Mines doing the same thing.
Tire tread hit and broke the sensor
Hey what year is your car mine is 2017 and it doesn’t easily come off
After you re-connected the battery, did all the lights go away? Or did you have to drive it for a bit, then they disappeared?
Thanks so much
Have to drive the vehicle for a bit and it should reset.
Is the battery reconnect necessary to fix the issue? My civic got hit, too, but the errors didn't gone even the radar was tightened. Do you have any suggestions? THanks
I would do the battery disconnect for 10 minutes reconnect and drive for 10 minutes and it will reset itself.
It ever work?
I hit a rabbit😂 found my issue but you gave me a solution!
Happy to help. I work at VW dealership and trust me if I can help people save money I'm happy to help.

Sorry the late reply I haven't had to change them yet. But I used good thick ones.
Thanks for uploading this video!
Cable ties don't seem to fit through the bracket holes for me. Did you have to force them through or buy a different size?
Oh i had a bunch of different sizes.
When you got rid of the Radar Obstruction message, did your cruise control and safety feature work properly? Great tip and thanks!
Yes everything went back to normal.
If the sensor is in tact do you recommend changing the cable?

I would say a 10 to 15 minute drive and you'll know. Make sure it doesn't have any play. If it does it will move and throw out warning signs again.
@@MRdjDICKEY okay thank you for the good information really appreciate it hopefully i get it all sorted out tomorrow
What lights you had on ? If you remember
Honestly I don't. But it had the warnings about the cruise control steering wheel issues lane assist issues anything to do with that.

Hello. What do you mean you disconnected your battery?
Disconnect your negative battery terminal and leave it off for like 10 minutes and then reconnect and drive for like 1km and it should be ok after that.

If the backing plate is missing you'll have to order one from Honda. It's the radar backing plate.
