My great grandmother actually lived in the area where the BTK Killer was, she always talks about how scared she was because she thought she was next. She only recalls going out around 10-15 times during that period of time. She also thought that they would never get him.
I personally enjoy her cheerful voice. I'm not always in the mood for videos where narrators use a creepy worried voice so this is nice since it doesn't fully put me in that mood.
The things I find most disturbing about each image- 1- The absolute fear in the mother’s eyes, you can tell she’s feeling destroyed. 2- They don’t realize that millions of people are about to watch them die in the worst way possible. 3- His eyes look entirely dead, he truly looks like he’s accepted his fate and that he can’t change it. And his fingers. His fingers, frostbitten and cold. 4- It’s always crazy to see people smiling even though their lives are about to change forever. 5- The child on top of the man’s shoulders just gives me the shivers, and the fact that the child was nearly killed during the crossfire of something that no one could help. 6- His last radio in. He knew what was going on. 7- They look guilty even just sitting there. They seem to be uncomfortable everywhere they go. 8- The fact that he was on a competition show but the woman backed out because of her gut instinct? Insane. Not to mention how he was his own defense. He’s crazy. 9- How you can so obviously see that she’s about to fall. If someone in the photo had just grabbed her arm, she would most likely be here today. 10- The fact that most everyone died. Especially since it was a chemical fire. An awful way to go out. 11- Ironic how the one thing they could’ve used was water, isn’t it? 12- The fact that the bear stalked him before it killed him. And it stayed after he died. And the worst part is, the bear didn’t know any better. It just thought that’s what it was supposed to do. 13- I don’t understand how they murder someone and just smile out of their court room. 14- The look in his eyes show that he was definitely a creep. 15- There could be so many clues in this picture but there is so much going on that you can hardly see anything. 16- The absolute fear and pain in this man’s eyes. He looked like he knew what she was about to do to him. 17- The shadow seems to be an old man. The bombers had no regrets for anything they’d done. They killed children and old people, everyone. Everyone. 18- He looks so creepy. I think he is just genuinely a creepy dude. 19- The fact that fans can quickly turn into enemies. Tragic. 20- drugs can absolutely destroy someone’s life. And when he invited people? That’s tragic.
From what I know, after the incident the scientists and others who helped created the bombs felt mortified after they witnessed what they created and what damage it could bring to the world
I just saw some documentary about the 75th anniversary of Hiroshima. The haunting words by an very old woman talking about people just disappearing, vanishing without a trace. So damn creepy, yet so very true.
You are correct. I've been to the Hiroshima Peace Museum right near ground zero. Not only are there "bomb shadows" of people and other living things, there are also shadows of other things too. It's hard to describe what a powerful experience it is, as an American, to walk through that museum! There are so many things that wrench your heart to see, and yet, also many things that encourage hope, hope that we (humanity as a whole) may manage not to repeat the atrocities of our collective past! If you get the chance to go, it is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
You never know how close you are to not existing until you aren't. That's the poignant truth of these photos how close we are to oblivion at any time without knowing it.
Christopher McCandless actually was leaving Alaska before he died. His story is that he left everyone and went to go live out in nature for months to a year, he burned all his money and fended for himself. He was doing very well and was very smart about it, when he went to leave, it was Alaska summer so the river he had to cross was raging waters, so when he decided he had to stay longer because he couldn’t cross the river, he went back to the bus and unpacked. He actually died because he accidentally ate poisonous seeds that are very commonly confused with potato seeds. The seeds made him cramp up and weak, and he died in the bus 😔 it’s a really sad story but I think everyone should read about him

18:23 is incorrect. A hiker who had gone missing was lying in the bushes dying from a fall, directly to the right of the frame from the climbers buttocks. The climber & photographer had no connection to the missing hiker nor did they have any idea they were just yards away from someone who needed help. Reports suggest that at the time of this photo the hiker was still alive, though likely unconscious due to it being several hours after the fall (search & rescue were currently looking for them when this photo was snapped) & exhaustion mixed with injuries would have likely prevented communication, even though they were within earshot of each other.

Yes, if somebody ever murders me, I want her to tell my story. To cheer everyone up.
Yeah me too, I just want tragedies fed to me in a way that makes me warm and fuzzy inside and can become desensitized to it
The things I find most disturbing about each image-
1- The absolute fear in the mother’s eyes, you can tell she’s feeling destroyed.
To 17, they were super horrified about the bombing
From what I know, after the incident the scientists and others who helped created the bombs felt mortified after they witnessed what they created and what damage it could bring to the world
Btw nuclear bomb shadows are not imprints. Concrete around them was bleached, their bodies shielded it and it thus remained in the original color :(

The haunting words by an very old woman talking about people just disappearing, vanishing without a trace. So damn creepy, yet so very true.
lamebubblesflysohigh :- Correct...good on you to notice the mistake.

Reports suggest that at the time of this photo the hiker was still alive, though likely unconscious due to it being several hours after the fall (search & rescue were currently looking for them when this photo was snapped) & exhaustion mixed with injuries would have likely prevented communication, even though they were within earshot of each other.

It killed a human. That behavior only gets worse
It'll take a lot of time for tranquilizer to take effect on that big black bear, and shooting the bear will trigger it more
The bear have tasted the human and now know it can hunt human, the bear will do it again to other if the bear happened to meet other human so they took the bear out

I think they meant warning signs of lightning striking you, like your hair standing up.
Challenger was NOT notable for its “diverse” crew. That was common. What made it notable was Christa McCauliffe, the first civilian & teacher, in space. You guys didn’t even mention it! Shameful!
I was thinking the same thing.
The space shuttle program became diverse after they allowed a woman - Sally Ride - onto the crew of the Columbia.
Its watch mojo. This channel is horrible fr. I'm just bored.
@@Floymin I thought she was only on Challenger and discovery
@@theremoteanater I had to look it up. Apparently, it was only 2 tours on Challenger before the explosion (that she wasn't on).
Not sure if splitting up was a wise decision in the "being followed by a bear" scenario.
I was thinking the same thing! They could have bunched up together tried to make themselves look bigger, maybe scare the bear off.
if it was me, I'd punch the the bear to death, I do not condone animal cruelty, specially against such fluffy cute animals, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
@@belalabusultan5911 you can barely pierce a bears skin with a gun, your fists? LMAO
it's not. you fight black bears, and you have to try ad scare them away and move slowly. don't run
I think they didn't know what else to do. They could have thought the bear was going to attack no matter what.
Better one die than all five.
I feel awful for BTK's (Raider's) daughter. I know it was really hard on her. I can't imagine. I hope she's doing alright now, as is the rest of the family and the victims' families.
The David A. Johnston photo always gets me. I tear up every time I see it. It saddens me to remember how it all went down, but at least the man died doing what he loved.
Self-defense... what, he was going to kill her while showering? A likely story.
Is it just me or does he look scared as all get out? His eyes just have that look like he knows something is up and it is not good.
@@crestm1384 His eyes, to me, show that he knew something terrible was about to happen. Mojo said he had no idea, but that picture speaks loudly.
@@crestm1384 yup. Basically they had a crazy obsessive sexual relationship. Travis was a mormon and basically felt he was betraying his religion by being with her. He ended up dating a mormon girl. @@KamsPoliticalPredictions It was an expedition of 9 Russian hikers that very mysteriously died when passing through the Ural mountains. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when the Challenger exploded. 1986. I was 22 years old and babysitting for my next door neighbor's and watching it on TV. I just stood there with my mouth hanging open not sure what had happened!! So, so sad.
My mom told me she was in the library at her high school watching it live....everyone was gobsmacked
The Dutch girls who went missing in Panama is especially creepy.
