Thank You, I try my best to show everything during my tours. My goal is for the viewer to see everything they can expect to see if they visit themselves
This is 100% a destination in itself. I planned my Roadtrip around this zoo. It's such a fantastically designed facility. I most definitely recommend you get here someday.
@@TomsRoadTrippin Glad you really liked it, Tom. I think when you live so close to it, you get spoiled and used to it and you lose that "WOW!" factor from the first time you saw it. You did a great job with the video. Can't wait to see the next ones. Safe travels!
@TreySarver-p5x I've been to the Safari Park, not the Children's Zoo in Lincoln. The Safari Park is worth checking out when the weather is nice. My friends who have gone to the Children's Zoo have told me it's pretty good, but they had kids with them when they went. So, I'm not sure how high their expectation levels were concerning the zoo itself or if it was more important to keep their little ones entertained for a day. 😂
Hey Tom! You`re probably surprised to see my comment this soon haha. Well man, i had a few days off, so i took advantage of it because i knew there would probably be a lot of signage, and i was right. This is an amazing Zoo! And i`ve only seen half of it! But at the same time, i saw so much stuff! You`re telling me there`s more? Wicked! The layout of this Zoo was amazing, no amazing does not cut it. Gorgeous? Stunning? The habitats, the landscape, just WOW!! Like, i don`t even have words to describe this Tom! I was impressed with the variety of reptiles, very cool. Everything was so well done! Now, onto time stamps, i have lots of those for you today, Tom. 2:08: I love what you do with your voice sometimes Tom, i think it`s hilarious. ``We`ve got this BIG GIANT DOOOOMMMEEE, let`s go inside!``, you crack me up Tom, kid trapped in a grown man`s body, that`s how yo come off in my eyes. 2:48: Wow is right Tom Look at this man!! Man, they did an OUTSTANDING job with this dome. It looks like they took a chunk of desert and just put it in a building! Imagine how much money and time this took! SO cool! Btw, when i was younger i was constantly getting desert and dessert messed up (the spelling). A trick i learned recently: You will only want to cross the desert once (so one s) but you may want a second helping of dessert (so two ss). 18:58: At first Tom, when you showed this shot, i assumed you were just showing some of the habitat structure, i had to go back a second time to watch this part, then i noticed the tortoises! They are pretty well camouflaged. 20:14: Since you didn`t focus the camera on him, i`m gonna assume that you missed him. There was a rattlesnake basking under the heat lamp. @Noah Roy This zoo was at the top of my list for quite some time. I actually scheduled my roadtrip around this zoo. I was truly amazed at the overall design of the zoo. Not only we're the animal habitats gorgeous, the walking paths we're equally gorgeous. The dome was much larger than I thought it was, i actually felt like I was in the desert. I thought you would enjoy that shout-out 😁 Happy Belated Birthday Noah. So 17 is it now. My my how time flies. Pretty soon you'll be a geezer like me 😩 Thanks for all the time stamps and all the extra info you add to them. You don't owe anyone anything, your generation doesn't have everyone in the same group. You be you Noah, don't even waste a thought on anyone that tries to make you be someone else. I am glad you got caught up on the zoo tour's. I know your a very busy guy with work and other stuff. I honestly appreciate your high praise you show me. It really helps me feel it's all worthwhile. I enjoy going to all the places I visit, but I also enjoy sharing them with people like you Noah 😊
@@TomsRoadTrippin Hey Tom! Sorry for the late reply, i was camping from Sunday evening after work (i worked from 9AM-5:30PM) until Wednesday before my next shift (4-10 which is also my shift for today, Thursday) and obviously i didn`t have wifi out there. Thanks for the birthday wishes Tom, means a lot. Yeah, i id really enjoy that shout-out, i showed various members of my family, they all thought that it was very cool. Correct me if i`m wrong Tom but you`re almost 50 years old right? Of course for the time stamps, probably my favourite part of my comments, i enjoy doing them for you, Tom. I agree, not everyone in my generation is the same, and some people just don`t seem to understand that and it really bothers me, Tom. There was once where i finished work at 11PM, i had no ride so i took the town bus home, i was on for about 15 minutes when the woman beside me started shaming me and saying that my generation are all the same and that we can`t live without technology, which for me at least Tom, is not true. Want to know why she was giving me a hard time Tom? I was texting my mother saying: Hey mom, be home in about 15-20 minutes, i was also listening to music as i always do on the bus, through my wireless ear buds. Some people man. I tried to reason with her but i ended up putting my other ear bud in to shut her out because she was being very rude, disrespectful and annoying, she was not happy with me but i really didn`t care Tom. Of course Tom! I love your videos and your channel man, i`m happy that people like me make you feel like it`s all worthwhile, happy to hear that. I like to praise many content creators that i follow, because i know that it helps them move forward and just gives them happiness overall, it`s the least i could do really, Tom. After all you do for your fans. Yeah Tom, work has been busy lately, we`ve had a few Store Standards quit so that`s more pressure on me, considering i`m one of the best ones according to managers, so naturally i have more shifts. Take care Tom, keep being awesome.
@Noah Roy Good to hear you had a good time camping. Haven't been camping since I was a kid. Too bad Karen's can't just be tasered when acting rude 😮 Thanks for checking in Noah.
@@TomsRoadTrippin We had a really great time camping! Made some memories by the campfire, played board-games and watched movies all day on the rainy day when we were there. Lots of laughs and good times in those few days. Is that so? I guess that makes sense, you`re a busy guy, Tom. That would be quite handy, the amount of Karens that i deal with at work is insane. When i worked on the sales-floor, there was more of them b*tching for a whole host of reasons. But even as a Store Standards, working outside, Karens find something to b*tch about and make my day miserable. If i could tase them, i woud have done that hundreds of times by now, trust me on that one Tom. Anytime, Tom! You know, you`re starting to feel more like a friend as time goes on. Is it just me or do you get what i mean? You`re a pretty cool guy, Tom. Obviously, i have friends my age at school and even at work, just to get that out there. Most of the Store Standards are guys (women aren`t allowed to do the position, which i find really weird because Walmart is al about being inclusive etc, and women used to be able to do this job, really weird) my age or slightly older. There is one older guy who is almost 60, but he`ll probably retire soon enough. Our already small team is growing smaller and smaller, one guy quit because he was caught harassing women associates, and two more are quitting because they found better jobs. Which brings our team to just 4 or 5 people including myself which means the managers are going to lean on me since i`m the best one out of those few at the job. They like how clean the parking lot is when i leave after my shifts. Last night for example: Both GM Side Cart Coral and Food Side Cart Coral were FULL TO THE BRIM, there were NO loose carts in the parking lot, most of the remaining carts were in one of the 6 corals throughout the parking lot and i even had enough time to put a few rows of carts behind the cart coral garage doors just to help out the morning crew. I got called in for a 2:30-11 shift today and i intend to do the exact same thing as last night, leave nothing behind. I`ve started your most recent video, very good so far, as always!
Didnt knew you were 48 until i watched discovery cove. Anyways, I watched all your vids that i didnt watch like 20 plus videos, except this one and your 2022 zoo Tampa tour!
After checking the zoo's website, it appears portions of the under construction areas during my tour are completed. I will be returning in the 3rd quarter of next year.
Don’t go on a weekend with mild weather. I swear there was 30,000 people in this zoo. The lines were so slow and long. It was like an amusement park. Wait in a 30 minute line just to see an animal.
I miss home so bad. This is the best zoo. The aquarium is insane and the attractions are amazing. The zoo in Little Rock, AR has 0 animals and it feels dead inside and out. I be damn if I go to Memphis rather make the 11hr drive to visit my hometown zoo.
The Henry Doorly Zoo is indeed amazing. I am planning to return for another visit later this year. As far as the Little Rock Zoo, it needs a much needed boost of funds to repair and rebuild a good portion of the zoo.
@Trey S My content requires roadtrips. I am only able to do a few each year. If I released a vid every day my channel wouldn't have new content for most of the year.
You literally showed the sign the zoo posted about how to feed the stingrays so they can actually reach the food since their mouths are underneath them and not hurt you accidentally in the process, and proceed to feed them in the exact incorrect way 10 seconds later...
I'll admit it wasn't ideal to try to feed them and try to film at the same time. Typically zoo's give you small pieces to feed the stingray and not one whole shrimp. I don't recommend anyone doing what I did. 😕
@@TomsRoadTrippin That`s what i`ve always liked about you Tom, you own up to your mistakes with a good attitude. Some people hate being wrong and think that they`re always in the right, not you Tom. Good man. I just started watching the video, you just got inside the desert dome.
So you've seen the zoo expanded over the years? Your very fortunate to live near such a fantastic zoo. I'll be back again once the new expansion is complete.
!!! It was at the entrance. Omg. I will miss it burning tf out of us kids on that lion. I spent the night at this zoo. So many stories. School trips & with the girl scouts
It's a cool zoo, alongside the San Diego Zoo & San Diego Zoo Safari Park! Likewise, I visited there 3 times way back! Say, do you ever wished they added more animals in newer exhibits? Buffers & Therizinosaurus!🐘🦒🦁🐵🐯🐺🐻🐨🐼🐗🦓🐆🐂🐃🦌🦏🦍🐪🐫🐧🐟🦇🦔🦅🐊🐍🐢🦎🐜🦗🦂🕷️🐙🦑🦀🐡🐠🦈🦃
I've been to the San Diego Zoo but haven't had the opportunity to visit the safari park just yet. The larger zoo's have a better chance of adding new animal species. They tend to have a larger budget. The Henry Doorly Zoo is building their new Australian area. Most likely will be getting new animals.
sucks there is soooo many people. makes it almost un bearable i would think anyway. poor animals lol. all they hear all day is blah blah blah blah blah
I also like how you take your time at every habitat and go back
I love how you love to see everything and if you miss something you don’t just skip it you go back and see it.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'll be going back again this year to see the stuff I missed.
Really big zoo with a lot of animal variety. Cant wait for part 2. Love the zoo designs though, the outer structure of the dome is incredible
This zoo was huge, the habitat buildings we're much larger than I thought they would be. Part two will be out Thursday.
I’m from Australia and those mask Lapwings are actually one of the main swooping birds
They are really nice looking birds, the splash of color on the face helps them stand out.
This is just so cool. They have a such a huge variety of different eco systems.
The Henry Dooley Zoo excels at that, the biodome is a great example.
I can’t wait to come to this zoo someday! I hope you had a fantastic time.

My most favorite part is the swamp along with the desert dome and aquarium
This zoo had so many fantastic area's to enjoy. Thank You for your comment, I'm glad you enjoyed my tour.

This is the longest zoo
Ever seen especially the desert area
I completely underestimated the amount if tine it takes to go through the dome. I'll be returning this gear to see the areas I missed.
Didnt knew you were 48 until i watched discovery cove. Anyways, I watched all your vids that i didnt watch like 20 plus videos, except this one and your 2022 zoo Tampa tour!
WoW you've been busy 😀 I appreciate your continued support of my channel. Very happy to hear your enjoying my content.
I have relatives up their. (Im from south Dakota) whenever I go up to visit I still will drive down and visit the zoo.
That is such a great zoo, it seems like they are always adding new stuff to experience.
From a person that lives in Nebraska and always goes to that zoo, i make a search and find game out of the snow leopards
That sounds like fun, they do tend to find a nice comfortable spot to nap in. They are such gorgeous animals, I always enjoy seeing them 😍
Have you ever been to the Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari or Lincoln Children's Zoo before
Beautiful zoo. Haven't seen 1 this beautiful before. Is there anyway I could pull up the zoo map on your phone or download it or your phone?
This place is amazing, such a gorgeous zoo. If you go to the zoo's website, you can download the zoo map.
Some areas look being constructed. Does someone know when that construction will be completed?
After checking the zoo's website, it appears portions of the under construction areas during my tour are completed. I will be returning in the 3rd quarter of next year.
Don’t go on a weekend with mild weather. I swear there was 30,000 people in this zoo. The lines were so slow and long. It was like an amusement park. Wait in a 30 minute line just to see an animal.
Make part 3 to see the lied jungle
I'm hoping most of the construction will be completed next year. I'll return to see the stuff I missed during my first trip.

Did they still have the big coy pond?????
If they do, it was along one of the closed pathways.
Yes they do
Can u go to San Francisco Oakland and around that area???
I'm planning a trip back to California in 2024. I'll be visiting places all over.
@@TomsRoadTrippin ok
When are you going to post part 2
Part two will be available Thursday @ 10 A.M. EST
Okay thankyou
I’m so excited
@@TomsRoadTrippin also how come u post trips evry Thursday and not evryday
I live in the state so I get to go to the Henry Doorly Zoo a lot
So you've seen the zoo expanded over the years? Your very fortunate to live near such a fantastic zoo. I'll be back again once the new expansion is complete.
@@TomsRoadTrippin yep I go there alot of the time
@@aubreysanfilippo9270 Have you ever been to the Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari or Lincoln Children's Zoo before
Makes the Bronx zoo look like a roadside
They both have their charms 🙂
@@TomsRoadTrippin Absolutely true, both are amazing but one is just DAMN DAMN DAMMMMN
@@TerrariumDiscoveryGamingMore The Henry Doorly Zoo has Several amazing areas.
Is the lion statue not there anymore???
!!! It was at the entrance. Omg. I will miss it burning tf out of us kids on that lion. I spent the night at this zoo. So many stories. School trips & with the girl scouts
Not sure if it will return, my guess is it was removed during renovation of the entrance areas.
You missed the agouti the owl monkey and the presile tailed pourine
Yeah, evidently, I missed quite a bit. I am planning to return again once the construction is finished.
ah man.. can't believe they didn't have the parson's chameleon or any of the other chameleons in the Madagascar area.
yeah, I like the chameleon
Did you know they used to have Polar Bears but moved them to the Kansas City Zoo
I thought there we're polar bears at the zoo when I went.
@@TomsRoadTrippin at the Henry Doorly one
@@treys1607 yes
@@TomsRoadTrippin there actually weren't when you were there however they had Sloth Bears
Just 4 future reference its not a good idea 2 handfeed a Stingray cuz they can bite ur finger clean off
I most definitely will not attempt to do that again while filming.
@@TomsRoadTrippin glad 2 hear it
If it wasn't safe the zoo wouldn't let you do it
@@bruh2876 but then again I thought u were sposed 2 drop the Shrimp into the water
United States 🇺🇲
I saw you at the red pandas
Nice to meet you 😁
Have you ever been to the Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari or Lincoln Children's Zoo before
sucks there is soooo many people. makes it almost un bearable i would think anyway. poor animals lol. all they hear all day is blah blah blah blah blah
I'm sure they are used to it and it's just background noise. As long as stupid people don't bang on their habitat or scream at them.
