I use regular adapter since that lens is made for APS-C cameras 😊
Well done on the commercial, Rog! I am probably going to get the Weebill S. With the added power over the original Weebill, it seems like it would handle anything I would ever put on it. It doesn’t seem to have the smart features that DJI has, but the motor power and underslung carry are big bonus’. I will be looking forward to your next Weebill S footage.
Thank you 😊 The Weebill S seems to handle the M6mk2 with the adapter and the SIGMA lens without any problem, and that lens has some weight to it. So even though the Weebill S doesn't come with a weight limit from the manufacturer (not that I could find at least) I think it can handel a lot 😊 Looking forward to really test it out 😊
The motors on the weebill s are strong enough to support a lens that extends as well, I usually balance Z6 and 24-70 f4/S lens somewhat in the middle around 40mm, and I can freely zoom in/out without rebalancing. This little gimble is a beast! On top of that the locking axis makes balancing a breeze.
It’s the most easy to use gimbal I’ve ever tried 😃 Small but still powerful 😊

Picked up a Ronin SC this week and the EF-M adapter length makes it difficult to get enough clearance from all the axis (granted I'm trying to use heavy old glass like the 24-105 f4). Looks like you made the right call, sir!
We used the M50 with the Ronin SC on a job early spring this year. It worked fine then, but we used the 15-45mm kit lens.. looking back, I can imagine that it could become a problem with larger glass. I didn't think about that when I purchased this gimbal, so that was just lucky me I guess. Sorry to hear that you don't get the most out of the gimbal. No chance of returning it and get the Weebill S or something else without that issue?
Thanks for the clip! I just got weebill s and set it up with my m6m2. However, the gimbal went dead every time after I recorded one single video. I have to power circle gimbal and get it back to work. Not sure if it’s incompatible with m6m2. Do you have the same issue?
How long was you filming for? My gimbal last for several hours.. I've used it for a whole day of shooting (of course I turned it off in between scenes). I find the camera in need of changing batteries on a shoot, not the gimbal.
@@RogerAVHansen My gimbal just work for the first time I turned it on and connected with the camera... then the gimbal lost control and I couldn't change it to other mode nor record on it. have to power cycle the gimbal to make it work again. I think I have to check with ZY's service support

Sigma 18-35mm f/1,8 and a good prime, maybe 50mm f/1,8 with both regular adapter and speedbooster to get two focal lengths out of the prime.. you need the regular adapter for the Sigma lens also.

That's right 😊 If you want to go native EF-M lenses you have the Sigma 16mm f/1,4, sigma 30mm f/1,4 and sigma 56mm f/1,4 😊
Thanks for the videos on the M6ii, very helpful and informative. I’m in a similar position, I have an M6ii and I am looking at getting the Weebill S. The one piece of information I can’t find is can a gimbal control focus using only the wheel without the additional motor? I want to film at 120fps but I don’t want to go through the trouble of setting up the motor and gear. As you know there’s no auto focus at 120fps..
Thank you for taking your time watching 😊 As far as I know there is no gimbal capable of changing focus without the additional focusing motor am afraid. If you ever find one let me know 😊 No AF in 120fps is a bummer... but it will be interesting to see the final specs of the M50mk2 and/or the M7 (or whatever camera they release next). Personally I would love to get the Sony A7S3, for now that's my dream camera, but that camera is waaaaay to expensive 😄
Roger A. V. Hansen I’m just wondering why in the compatibility list they have a column for electronic focus showing that some cameras are compatible with it. I can’t find out what electronic focus means.

I have an dji Osmo mobile 3 which can control the focus of an iPhone through filmic pro and Bluetooth.
@@AndrewJones-gg9st I might have been wrong in my statement before. Looks like this could be a feature after all. Connecting a camera to the gimbal with one of the wires could give you controll of the camera settings. And possibly the focusing... Only had the gimbal for a week 😄 I will have to "investigate" 🔎 some more 😊 I'll be back with whatever information I can find 😊 And hope you do the same 😊

Roger A. V. Hansen I’ve just bought the Ronin SC because it was on special at my local camera shop and it’s compatible with the M6ii. I can confirm that the focus wheel can pull focus without the focus motor. I’m using the Sigma 16mm.

Hi I have the canon 6D mark II would this be compatible?
Haven’t tried that camera, but a DSLR is usually bigger than a mirrorless camera, and when I tried a EOS R on the gimbal it was jus a little to big in my opinion. So I guess the 6D mark II could be to big also…
Does the baseplate clear the battery compartment so you can change batteries without taking it off?
Unfortunately no, but I have a cage or a L-bracket on the camera so I can mount it little more to the side so it clears the battery hatch 😊

Hi, do you have any problem with a Vignette on the lens? I have a identical setup (sigma 18-35 + viltrox m2 + m6ii) and when im using the lens in a focal length between 18-24mm i have vignettes on the corners.
You probably have the Viltrox speedbooster and not the regular adapter..? that will give you vignette in that focal range as the lens is made for cropped sensor cameras. The lens doesn’t produce a wide enough image to fill the image the speedbooster creates.
I use the regular adapter from Canon with that lens. I’ve not experienced vignette with that combo.

Hi. Don’t use a speedbooster, I use a regular EF to EF-M adapter as the Sigma 18-35 is a lens made for APS-C cameras.

i have a canon sl2 with sigma 18-35, it doesnt balance on my weebill LAB (the original) would my setup balance on the weebill S?
Hi! The SL2 (or 200D) is a mirrorless camera, so it’s bigger then the M6 mark ii. I’m not sure how much bigger it is compared to the M6mk2, haven’t held one or tried one, so I can’t say how the Weebill S will handle it.
Now, I used my EOS R on the Weebill S, had no problem balancing it, but the R was just slightly to big so I couldn’t move it around freely without it hitting the gimbal. So if the SL2 is smaller then the EOS R in size, I guess the Weebill S will handle it just fine 😊

This is true, its not on the list. The connection ports is on the wrong side of the camera if you want to connect the camera to the gimbal through wires. In that case it does matter, kind of.. you just need longer cables.
But for just placing the camera on the gimbal without connecting it it works great 😊

I don’t have any specific gimbal to recommend. There are so many different and good gimbals nowadays, just find one that’s compatible with the M6 mark II and I think you will be satisfied 😊
@@RogerAVHansen just bought a Weebill s,i think i can work without connection to the camera,connection is not so important it just gives opportunity to work with camera throught the gimbal,am right?

No need to use speedbooster with that lens, it's a lens made for APS-C cameras. So I used the normal adapter to get it to fit on my M6mk2. If you watch my video on the Sigma lens, I explain that there. No, I didn't use the lens support. Nice catch 😊 I used the mount on the adapter to attach the whole thing to the gimbal, but with that mount, the lens got to high up for the lens support to reach. But if I don't use the mount on the adapter, but connect the gimbal directly to the camera, I think I can use the lens support as it's suppose to be used 😊

@@umarlivlog5890 well, that's true in a way, you get a longer focal distance so it could get an extra stop of light 😊 But then we would have to zoom in to about 24mm to not get the vignetting, so we can't use it at the widest 18mm. But nice that you find use in the speedbooster with that lens 😊👍🏻
