For those of you who don't know, Fox has the MU advantage, Fox is fast enough and has enough pressure to beat Pit on stage, it's just that Armada is LITERALLY THE BEST PIT. His aim is crazy good, and he moves fast enough with Pit to keep up with Fox. Also his experience with Peach spacing and fighting against Fox from Melee really helps him here. It's not that the character is cheap, it's just that Armada is good at this game. Remember that he's probably one of the first Pit's out there. And the set was close, if M2K hadn't tried to Shinespike off Randall in the last match things might have been different.
I don't think it's that straightforward. Pit has a better combo game than fox, a really good tech-chase and a really good edgeguard. Pit can also recover fairly safely and has an UpB out of sheild that can counter fox's pressure
It's fox's upsmash that should be looked at! It's NTSC upsmash- so is ridiculously overpowered, it's reasonably safe and you don't have to jump cancel it in PM. You can just get a few combos and then wait for upsmash to connect which is pretty much how most of these matches end up
Pit is "cheap" because Armada looks to be ahead of the metagame. Competitors have to push their characters to the potential Armada has pushed pit, which doesn't look easy. At all.
Armada is a godlike player, but just so you know, he barely plays PM. He has admitted this himself. He only has a small handful of hours logged into pit in total.
funny thing is that people seem to ignore the set in sktar 3 where armada got 2-0d by esam, who went on to get wrecked by mew2king later in the tourney. too late now i guess. pit got gutted to the point where he is considered the second worst and i dont think there will be any future patches of pm, definitely none where pit will be restored to his former glory.

Please give her her dthrow back. I main Meta Knight in P:M, but I still would like to see what Sheik players do with her dthrow game...she's just not as interesting this way.

I have no real problems with any smash brothers game (except chain grabbing) and I love Melee, Project M, as well as Brawl. Now. Chaingrabbing. It's one of the cheapest moves in the game. A lot are literally inescapable and it just seems like a stupid way to rack up ridiculous damage. It just seems like it just takes away a huge chunk of skill and excitement these matches give. Maybe its just me, but everytime I see a chaingrab in professional matches, a part of me inside dies a little. I was just wondering if anyone else agreed with me.

You may think chain grabbing is cheap while another person may not lol just like someone may think pits arrows are cheap and other think it's a very effective type of zoing. Someone is always going to complain. When it comes down to it, use what's in the game. When they made this mode, they made it so it was possible to chain grab for a reason.
Chaingrabbing for heavy set characters like Dedede are useful. Considering all the match ups against light characters of day that's fair. But Falcos chain grab can go out the window.

There's nothing wrong with chain grabbing. It's just another form on comboing. You have to land the grab on them as they fall, and each grab sends them farther (generally). These are 2 of the best players in the world, so there's no point in saying 1 of them is using cheap no-skill tactics. They are both incredibly skilled, and Armada didn't only win because of chain grabs.

Radolumbo I hope u r not talking about the arrows, because the move isnt broken, it is exactly like it was in brawl. The only difference between them is that the arrows are stronger close range and it decays as it travels. Plus, everyone else chose better rounded characters. Armada is one of the few Pits out there and the only one to really do this stuff regularly.
sheraldford I agree. Armada is one of the only technical and advanced Pits out there and he put on a great show at Apex 2014. I actually saw this match live and it was one of the hypest experiences I have witnessed. I'd say M2K wasn't exactly on his game at Apex 2014 but he did still play pretty well. I still wonder if his Sheik would have been able to do more work than his Marth or even his Fox. Down throw seems a bit powerful, but there is no reason to throw out the phrases "broken", "imba, nerf plz", etc. just yet because PM Pits competitive meta is pretty new. The arrows aren't actually that broken, the option can be punished, and players can reflect them with power-shield or other options. You may have noticed that M2K was able to answer with shine stalls into illusion for recovery.
sheraldford The arrows aren't like they are in Brawl. Their range of angles and speed are both buffed. Personally, I feel that they are an issue. They are the only projectile you can hit someone with at any angle from any distance reliably. You saw how he was stuffing M2K's drift back to stage with one after another? They're extremely hard to use, but you can put them anywhere very quickly. It's like a sniper in an FPS where they can wreck your day from anywhere just because they're good, and no matter how good you are you have to put up with it. There's no way to deal with the arrows while off stage. You can't powersheild, and most characters don't have a reflect.
Well Marth is a floaty and he was having trouble, so that point is moot. With the ability to put an arrow into someone off stage twice a second, even Jiggs would have trouble getting back. There's no way to prevent those hits. They just happen, and they kill you.

Zeifer Blade It's within USB loader. Open it, go to settings, loader settings, and then turn Ocarina on. There's also a default option that you're supposed to change, but I can't remember. gl.
Slorm Raptor Yeah that's the whole point of it. You need a Wii, a copy of Brawl, and a 2 Gig SD card to get it. The Wii doesn't have to be hacked to get it. It's well worth it. It's the best Super Smash Brothers game that is currently out.

for those that don't know, I'm responsible for getting Armada sponsored to come to Apex in the first place. EMP paid his plane ticket and he'll also probably get a salary soon. I did this cuz he says he needs more money and always asked to be sponsored. GO FIGURE THE ONLY MATCHES I LOSE ALL TOURNEY ARE 3-2 TO HIM TWICE =_=. I went marth/spacies/mewtwo all tourney this time. Sometimes I use Mario/Bowser/sheik/etc. I think mewtwo is really bad vs floaties though. Also plz stop nerfing fox he's already been nerfed 3 times and gets death comboed/gimped by like everyone. He was WAY better in Melee but I continue to use him cuz I already logged 12 years into the character and you don't need a good controller to dash dance in this game so that helps too.

Autocancels in PM are most likely gone, you have to manually cancel aerials (L-Cancel)

no ocarina cheat is a function that comes with usb lanchers to run unsigned code (project m). Click settings > game load > Ocarina: ON

Girugamarc . don't know for sure but Melee had over 600 entrants I do believe and Project M had something like 480 entrants.

With an attack and he L cancels the attack instead of the glide
