Probably many won't know the songs he wrote that others sang. My Girl, My Guy, Get Ready, Beat Me to the Punch, The Way You Do the Things You Do. He was one of the main writers at Motown. Still touring at 82
This is one of those songs that you want to be in a car with a bench seat so you can slide your significant other next to you and put your arm around them and just ride up and down the strip. Great reaction and Smokey never missed with his great voice.
Asia & BJ, you’ll love the Smokey& The Miracles "You've Really Got a Hold on Me", "Ooo Baby Baby" and "Going to a Go-Go"!!! Also his solo hit "Being with You"!!
Love Smokey and especially this song. Have seen him 4 times in concert and he is unbelievable. He sounds soooo good. Never can have too much Smokey. This is talent. Thank you for reacting to this. 👏👏❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦
Even when I was 6 years old, I remember hearing this on the radio and thinking “ wow this is good…” I still agree. One of the smoothest most sensual songs ever. All hail Smokey
Songs like this are a treasure, a reminder of what a love song sounded back then.. when Smokey sings, it's a jam that slows you down.. yet makes your heart beat faster...
Love Smokey and this is one of my favorites by him. He’s America’s Poet Laureate of Song, and one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to was his One Heartbeat tour. Everyone was singing and dancing 💃🏻 it was magical!
Lol😁 as soon as the beat drops... Asia ya smile had me smiling too!!!😂lol Like I said, I just LOVE listening to his voice💯❤️❤️ cmon now... his music and vocals just takes it to a higher level of SMOOTH!! Love y'alls reaction!!💞 Thankyou my FAM🥰
Yes, definitely cruisin" music, as evidenced by all of the low rider car culture art that was included with this song. As a former resident of East L.A., I can tell you that the music is almost as important as the cars! Many of Smokey's songs included... Tracks of My Tears, Oohh Baby, Baby, perfect for cruisin" the streets. Thanks for your reaction!
One of my most favorite songs by Smokey! He is SMOOTH like Buttah!!! I am fortunate enough to have seen him live. I took my parents back in 2012 to see him. One of the best concerts I've seen!!
God Bless Smokey. Did you see his interview on CBS Sunday Morning? A American Treasure and original. These 60s icons of their industries are now thinning out at a very fast pace so we need to always keep them alive in their music.
LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH! My friends and I would sing this way OUT LOUD in the car on the way to the Jersey shore! Once we got there, once we were on the beach, you could hear it blaring from everyone’s radio. THEN, you’d head up to the “boards” for a cold one and there it was AGAIN!! Such wonderful memories!! ❤. Thanks for sharing!
I don't know if I could have lived such a happy life without Smokey, probably not. 🎶Mmmm💖 And where would we all be without the songs he wrote for others, like 'The Way You Do the Things You Do' and 'My Girl' for The Temptations and 'My Guy' for Mary Wells, just to start with⁉
Didn't know Smokey wrote "My Girl" and "The Way You Do The Things You Do"... two favorites of mine. And "Cruisin'" not only is my favorite of the songs he sings, it is way up there in my top 10 Motown and Stax songs! The effect of that voice is like the feel of cool silk trailing across my naked body. Smoooooooooth.… Exquisitely delicious!
In Honor & Memory Of This Talented Man That Would Pass On Way Too Young (R.I.P.)... Jermaine Stewart "We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off" (Official Music Video A MUST!!)
Hey Y'all! I really dug your smooth reaction to this classic tune, it's so good! I also got a kick out your comments about when, and why Smokey chose to get into making music...GIRLS. My first "love" in music was Gene "The Demon" Simmons of KISS, and he has said many times that the primary reason he started a band was seeing how US girls responded to The Beatles when they arrived and first played on The Ed Sullivan Show on TV (you may or may not be aware but Gene was around 26 years old at that time and was making a living as a 6th grade school teacher, if you can believe THAT?!?). As always, Peace & Love to All from Georgia!
Can't go wrong with Smokey Robinson. He has a lot of good songs. "Tracks of my tears " is my favorite. God bless y'all. Love it when y'all are feeling a song.✌️❤️
This song is a classic! Grew up listening to music like this, then when GTA 5 came out, Rockstar added this song to one of the radio station’s and I always listen to this when I play the game! Great reaction guys! Maybe try listening sometime to The Temptations- Just my imagination!
One of his best! Wore out my Smokey 8 track over 55 yrs. ago, due to this song. 1960's to today. I still play it often. I Just can't get those youthful vibes out of this old man's body. (and don't want too!)
Can’t go wrong with the smooth groove of Cruisin. My favs are probably Quiet Storm, & his late ep’80’s hit, Just to See Her. He also had a nice collaboration with Anderson.Paak on his song, Make It Better, in which Smokey contributed a verse & sang background vocals. There’s actually a live performance where Smokey joins Paak halfway through, singin the verse he wrote. That said, Smokey actually has a new release out now with some pretty wild titles, jus sayin. Yeah I see Asia heard the words in a certain spot, bruh as busy groovin. Actuallmfelt sorry for Smokey at the Grammys announcing the song that won, which was like, anti- God.
Cuz Smokey started a whole radio genre with his song *Quiet Storm* it usually begins with that song, and continues with smooth easy listening R&B songs.
This is a special song . You notice more appreciate it with more listens , ( music) he fid a great love version of this with a studio audience. . ( Lionel Ritchie said the same thing ,he got into music because of girls )
Sunday afternoon with the top-down ride to the beach with the girl by your side, And this is banging out to speakers! Just another beautiful day in the City of Los Angeles.🤫
My husband and I used to park beside the river and watch the submarine races (LOL) while playing this over and over. It sure wasn’t about cruising in a car. We’d go home and ‘cruise’ some more.
I was in Jr High when this song came out. I had a monster summer crush on a girl and we would "cruise" up and down the streets of town with this song playing on a pocket transistor radio. My heart almost pounded out of my chest with puppy love! lol - Great memories! :)
The teens today have no idea what it was _really_ like picking up your girl and cruising. Grab a bite at the drive-up, cruise Main Street or the Mall Parking Lot. Music all night. Park and make out around 9:30. Get her home by 11:00. Cars were an intimate, yet public space where magic could happen . . . and Motown was King.
Try 1955. Not only has he been singing. But he wrote a plethora of songs for Motown artists. But this cut revived his career in the late 70's. I'll stack this one up against most.
Smokey Robinson has one of the smoothest voices from the motown era. Love his music
Smokey, Marvin, and my personal favorite was Levi.

For the young folks - THIS is the definition of a whole vibe! I love me some Smokey!
Probably many won't know the songs he wrote that others sang. My Girl, My Guy, Get Ready, Beat Me to the Punch, The Way You Do the Things You Do. He was one of the main writers at Motown. Still touring at 82

Smokey brought the 80's in with soul! One of my favorites from that era. Smokey still had the ability to use his voice to move people. Great reaction!
Smokey is a musical Genius 🎼 🎶
Motown Legend. Smokey and that smokey voice....this was a bit of a radio 'comeback' for him.

Someone needs to react to the live black and white version of "Ooo Baby Baby", it might as well be you guys. Nothing smoother than Smokey.
That song is magnificent ! .. Definitely needs some attention from reactors.👌

This is real music, soak it in
Love this 1
Sang it asia

Love this song. This and Marvin Gayes " Sexual Healing," are two of the smoothest songs. Try Champagne. " How About Us." Nice reaction.
Smokey Robinson & The Miracles - Ooh Baby Baby

Try Mr. Lenny William "cause, I love you". Put the candles and wine on
U can feel that song deep in your soul 😂😂
Try 1955. Not only has he been singing. But he wrote a plethora of songs for Motown artists.
But this cut revived his career in the late 70's. I'll stack this one up against most.
Hard to overestimate the influence of Smokey Robinson....
