That ending though, so meaningful. That feeling that you know that you just gotta let go. The Puma was only there with the baby for a few days, but that made all the difference.
Any kindness, makes all the difference in quality of life of others, no matter how simple a deed, or how short a time. But strangely, simple kindness is getting rarer and rarer these days.
That moment when the puma stops itself and let's the baby be taken away by the dog🥺 it was weirdly emotional to me.
Basically the puma knows that she's a human, and that if the puma continues to raise her still, the kid won't act like a normal human being, so she let her follow the dog.

i think the puma kept taking her to the plaine, incase people came looking for her, and didnt plan to bond with her, but it did and in the end, though it didnt want to lose her it knew it had to give her back.

The Puma knew what was best
This was so sweet! What hits me about this, is I'm Jewish and Aniyunwiya (cherokee) and Pumas are considered powerful and sacred (often maternal) gaurdians of the mountains to Aniyunwiya, so it was like seeing one side of my ancestors guarding the other 💖💖😭.

I'm happy to here that. I have only met one full blooded Indian before. What strikes me is that he was Jewish and he had German documents with him. I guarantee you he was trying to get to England or somewhere we can give the information to the allies. But as we have all seem . It did not turn out that way.

She's so adorable those green eyes, those curls. The puma is stunning as well. Thought the Puma would have been feasting inside the plane, but what was Anna eating? Glad she got back to her people
I don't think the girl was down there very long. The lady's hand still looked, ah ... pretty fresh, shall we say.
@@BlueUncia yeah but mountains get cold at night even in summer. I climbed the highest peak in the lower 48 states in August once and it got below freezing at night, and there was still snow on the summit in July. It's a cartoon, they just skipped over the part about hunger and temperature. Maybe the lady was frozen?
@@recoveringsoul755 If it got cold, the girl was likely kept warm by her puma nanny, and the body was likely preserved longer than usual.

The title of the video was a little misleading, but actually made no difference to the quality of the movie (note that the film is named "Anna" but the _video_ says "Puma raises..."). I love these wordless films, they are truly international. This film shines in the genre.

The puma was already expecting humans to be shown and being patiently waiting for that to happen.

The moment where the Puma let the baby go with the dog because she knew the girl would have a better life? Oh, that was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Great animation and the emotions of the animals were great as well

It's very interesting that there have been stories of children being raised by animals. I read one about a girl who was raised by wolves, one of kid who lived in a home were the parents horded birds and neglected the child so the child would talk with the birds, a stray dog who took care of an abandoned baby and of a pride of lioness protecting a child who was running away from kidnappers.

This was so awesome and I do believe wild animals are capable and have the instinct to help a child. Animals are very smart and wise beyond are comprehension. Some animals have not been tainted by humans and have not been abused. God gives them that knowledge. I love this story. Thank you.!!!! 🤗❤️🌸
There is fact of this. There was a story once of a boy who was lost in the winter woods, and he was found the next day at the base of a tree with two deep indent in the snow on either side of him. The trackers and wild life experts searching with the family and police said it was two moose who stayed with the boy all night to keep him warm. without them he wouldn't have survived the freezing temps.

@@kirara2516 That was an encompassing anyone/everyone statement, in response to the comment, not you specifically. I’ve known people who just assume it will happen for them. For example, my friend visiting from a place without bears assumed she could pet a wild bear because she read they will know your intentions. Facepalmed so hard, and drove away from Glacier National park, relieved we saw no bears that day.
Pumas are my favorite animal. It's wonderful to see them shown as fierce and wild but not evil. It showed it knew it was best for the girl to be with her own kind. I hope the puma has young of her own someday.

My heart was crying for the puma, but happy for the child. The little girl really hated to leave her adopted momma. Beautiful video. 😍
It broke my heart when she saw her mother’s corpse and is too young to understand what happened. I was also hoping that the puma would walk with her to the humans, as they probably wouldn’t hurt her, but also understood why she said her goodbyes from a distance.

Um, no, she shouldn't have. She's a human child. That would not be the best situation in the long term.
Letting human children live with wild animals would be extremely unhealthy or them. The Puma would've trained to hunt and survive like an actual Puma, and the girl can easily die to to starvation, or injury. As we know, without any sort of weaponry or training on how to hunt from a human, and instead you have a Puma training it to kill Deer, and Rabbits with it's sharp teeth and claws, skill etc... when you really think about it, if the Puma killed the dog then and there, and it raised the child instead, that girl is gonna hands down die in the future for being raised by a Puma ( Cougar, Mountain Lion, Painter, Catamount )
I know, it's just the disappointment. I'm glad you guys speak from a good and rational chair. In my imagination she is growing safe and functional human being with high quality of spiritual, material and mental health. Life is about luck after all. ✌

I had tears forming how the puppy started leader her down. Then the mommy puma saw it was what's best for Anna. Such a good mama probably lost her cubs before everything since it happens in the wild as a result of lossing babies but fweling the drive to mother something.

Sweet but sad in some ways. Very nicely done on the rocks and rain patterns as well as the fur on the puma.
This puma is like a Mother, but when the little girl go with the dog, and the puma let they go, is so sweet...
Sweet Girl, georgeus Cougar and the similarity of the eyes from both. In general, this beautiful short film is pervaded by green elements. I learned that green is the colour of hope. Fits perfectly. Love this!

There was a special, made in the 60s or 70s, like this. I think it was shown by our church. A young boy, maybe 5 was lost in the forest, a cougar was protecting him every step of the way. The boy would be sitting next to a bolder and the cougar was on the other side. A bear started to attack the boy and the cougar faced it down. Eventually, the family showed up to rescue him. The end was the little boy waving out the window of the truck, to the cougar on a chiff, watching him away.

This was so wholesome! I assume the reason of the puma taking the girl in and taking care of her until she was found was because the puma was possibly a female and maybe once had cubs of her own,But somehow lost her cubs in some kind of event we don't know of,or the puma longed to be a mother with cubs of her own but just couldn't find herself a mate,but the fact that she (or possibly a he,it just makes sense to me that it could be a she.) knew that the people (and the dog) weren't dangerous and only recusuing the girl just absaloutely warmed my heart.
I enjoyed it. It echoes Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan in the plot beautifully, even while it gave an original twist to the plot. I hope to see more.

@@terryflynn6927 It has to do with props used; The crashed plane the corpses of parents in the plane are directly evocative of the Tarzan origin story.

Beautifully animated and dark but lovely story
I’m gonna cry. It’s supposed to be a happy ending but to me it’s sad. Because the Puma just found a baby and was enjoying taking care of it. The Puma was sweet and careful. I think the baby ate things off the plane because when the Puma went out to hunt, they didn’t bring the girl the rabbit, they ate it away from her as if trying not to let her see a dead bunny getting eaten. The Puma was probably the best animal to have a baby in their paws. They protected, they loved, and they let go. But I kinda wish that the kid and the Puma got to stay together… the doggo could be a 2nd parent and she’d just be raised as a doggo and a Puma XD
