The best dose comes from running a smaller intake pipe diameter than the turbo inlet, say turbo inlet is 3' you run a silicone reducer off the mouth of the turbo to a 2.5' and run the intake pipe from there, 200mm long with a 90° bend works best, will give you that super high pitch vl style dose. Probably not the best in terms of making power but for shits n giggles till somebody giggles n shits it'll work fine
Can someone help with the intake pipe please! So the stock intake pipe has a hardline and another hose coming out of it, but he just put a pipe with no holes for those fittings, is that okay?
Where did you buy the intake pipe? Or did you get it fabricated? Also did it cause any leaks and cause the car to hunt when doing the delete? Awesome video btw.
Ebay mix and match. I purchased a 3" 45 degree mild steel pipe.. angle grinded some off to size. then used 45 and 90 degree silicone joiners and clamps. No weld work - that's out of my skillset lol
no but I've tested it on a friend's stock R34 turbo and the results were similar with higher pitch. pipes needed to be the same diameter as the inlet mouth(2.5") for at least 25 cm
@@beesee6029 thank you fot quick response :). Which pipes needed be same? I will go setup - FMIC IC kit with stock intake manifold, stock turbo, stock ex. manifold, custom turbo intake. and I want it without BOV for maximum flutter sound 😀
@@riizzek yeah should work with your set up. as long as you have the right intake piping angles and sizes. the stock turbo inlet diameter is like 2.5" so I recommend 2.5" piping all the way to a pod filter or AFM. and if needed, 3" to 2.5" reducer on the AFM/Pod side(not turbo side) since the stock AFM has 3" diameter.
nice video, good info
Look cool nice sound.
i was not prepared for 1:15
Loving the sound bro when you put the fmic on the induction sound is that front the stock turbo or was that after you upgraded it?
Hmm i have this set with fmic n the internal wastegate welded with an hks old school waste to atmosphere. Shit is gonna be crazyyy
Very nice! Make a video on just the first dose pipe please !
car has recently changed to a high mount setup so I'm not able to re create or work on something similar to what's in the video
LMAO THAT CAT
What else did you do after installing the intake to get the fat dose?
dose pipe 2 was the winner

Wondering the same thing
The pipe is the bov return into the intake, you can take it out and block it off no problems
CAT
Hey mate. Did you have any issues with stalling or anything else after blocking off the BOV?
no issues. A friend of mine had issues when he forgot to block the recirculation hose - so he had a massive air leak after his AFM.
@@beesee6029 alright thanks for the quick response man. Great vid too :)

@@beesee6029 what about the nipples on the factory intake?
Where did you get that BOV delete thing
what thing? the block off plate? I found a piece of thick metal. used angle grinder + drilled 2 holes to match the bov flange
@@beesee6029thanks man is there any chance you can just order the plate already cut

@@beesee6029 What boost was he running? I'm worried about the nylon compressor wheel breaking when blocking off the bov.
does this work with the RB26?
Sure
