Just got back from the dealership about an hour ago from my 2012 Hyundai sonata and they try to charge me $636 for the high pressure fuel pump.
🧠 I learned a valuable lesson about buying genuine OEM hyundai parts online... Instead of taking the risk with the cheaper aftermarket parts that don't fit!

It’s called a high pressure fuel pump.. common failure across many cars that come with them today. BMW, Mini, Kia+Hyundai just to name a few. They’re always very expensive. Just something to keep in mind.. these high pressure fuel pumps work with 2000psi+, it’s a mechanical fuel pump driven by the Camshaft, so that’s how it builds so much pressure... nowhere near what the low pressure one in the tank does. Be sure you relieve pressure appropriately after disconnecting the battery.

I have a p0091 code already replaced this , being what the dealer said to replace, its still losing power to acceleration at random times, mostly if driven for long periods and if let sit/run for a while it will go away and come back, comes back right away when I put in gas it seems havent had time to test theory, please need help will give my soul

@@basicdetail4512 after spending a few hundred on shops looking at it, it ended up being the engine wiring harness. It had been chewed the guy said idk he wouldn't show me and was super expensive but it fixed the issue
@@brennanperdue2235 Thank for the reply , i have the same issue and i got suspision on the wiring too because i saw in a forum That behind the computer in the connecteur There was a short between to wire cause by a wire residue and That fix is issue thanks again ...Do you remember if you have remplace the high pressure pump or even the fuel pressure sensor?

I’m having this issue on my 2013 Hyundai Sonata Limited. It’s acting as if it’s not getting gas but I’m not receiving any codes. My car hesitates then rpm hand goes to 0. I pull over and turn the car off then restart.
i could be alot of things wrong mainly always look for sparking issues like coilpacks n sparkplus also keep regular maintance check ur air filter fuel filter etc

Well first I have to say good video carnal , now I have 2 codes witch means 2 sensor that has to be with the gas distributor or something like that and the other one kinda the same but when I look for parts is not the one u are changing on video, stupid me I forgot the codes.

There's a good chance that it might not even be the HPFP. Replace the valve cover gaskets and the gasket for the HPFP that sits on the valve cover. Hyundai is using some of the worst gaskets I've seen. At about 120k they're shut and brittle. The pump can't operate at the pressure that's needed because of the leaky gasket underneath. Dealers scam you out of $1500. My gaskets were less than $25.00. Car runs amazing and uses much less gas.

I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonora that just went out it started starting up but only when u gave it a little gas as soon as the key turned over now it just stopped turning over but still tries to start then just shuts off right away when u think it’s turning on could this be a pressure fuel valve problem or the fuel filter?

As long as the dopa is not halved, it does not give an error. The fuel pump in the tank has been changed, but it still gives an error when it drops to half. I couldn't find a solution for this. HighLifeTuners 1 no it ok starting the glow plug light starts flashing when I’m driving and goes in to limp mode. when I turn the car of and on the car drives normal again for about 5 minutes then comes back on

You have 2 fuel pumps the one you need is a high pressure fuel pump. The low pressure fuel pump sits in the gas tank under the rear back seats

Highlife tuners.... Have you had come to find out that that's not a valve, it's a high pressure fuel pump. The low pressure/ supply pump in the tank that you have already changed without proper diagnostics, that just cost your customer or friend money he didn't have to spend.
Here is a suggestion, get yourself familiar with whatever you'll be working on before making a video. You have a responsibility to put out credible information once you are using this medium.
What you are doing for the youths is admirable but you have to educate yourself first if you really want to help them.
