Take on the elements in Wildfrost, a tactical roguelike deckbuilder! Journey across a frozen tundra, collecting cards strong enough to banish the eternal winter… - Ігри
You missed the ice dice in the cursed crown shop
erm, he's right behind me isn't he
why do I hear running?
Hey Voyix, you missed Ice...
Huh? Someone's at the door brb
let me in it's cold out here
a bit frosty, eh?
@@Voyix Don't worry this is Brazil it will warm up soon, btw there's no getting out now
The dark knowledge that only the ones that see through the veil can bear, the truth so horrible that even the gods of this realm try to hide it, but fail, and its unimaginable horror can see the light of day: Nova's trigger interrupts smackback
gonna be laying awake at night thinking about the bargain we struck to learn the forbidden knowledge
that final fight was incredibly clutch
Did you just skip to the final fight right off the bat?😂
bro speedran the entire video 😂
math ain't working right or did you update the timeline?
Hey look okay I saw nova in the thumbnail and wanted to see how quick the final fight was 😭
This... this was like the fastest win against frost gang. Pure obliteration. And man, Foxy was late
Hey I'm starting to think balance charm on Nova might be pretty good
idk i'm not convinced
@@Voyix We need 1 more to be sure!
Patroling the Mohabi sure makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
The shroom clunker combo reminded me to say that mushroom on burgers is pretty good, highly recommend
At the place I work at, they blend the beef and mushrooms together and make a burger out of that. Idk what the ratio of mushroom to beef is tho
what about mushroom as a burger?
Ending at 650 money feels real crisp.
Pimento is SO bad, especially since he has anti synergy with Pepper Flag.
I feel like his effect could be so much more interesting, like gaining frenzy when he gains Spice, or if they want to keep his effect similar , they could make it so that when he attacks, he gains spice equal to damage dealt, so that way he at least doubles his spice with pepper flag instead of having it do nothing.
But yea, no frenzy on a pepper unit, 5 turn counter and antisynergy with its own gimmick, they did my boy dirty
The dev forgot pepper flag existed I reckon
i think the pepper flag antisynergy isnt too bad, you can swap him out later in the run if you see pepper flag so it's not like it's terrible. he's just so awful at the start of the run though, if you dont have some sort of spice already locked in that unit has a good chance of being a 7hp 2atk 5 turn timer unit which is just atrocious
Engagement bait? Sure, I'll bite... "Yo, I think you missed Ice Dice btw"
dont turn around
Voyix perfectly described a shark attack as a midwesterner
That's a spicy meatball nova.
It seems that 'trigger when hit' interrupts Multi-Attack Smackbacks.
So I imagine, say you had Foxee with Smackback charm and Maw Jaw attacks it.. the moment Foxee makes his first smackback, the Maw Jaw will 'trigger' from that hit and hit Foxee back, so he won't get to unleash all 3 of his hits.
I am IMMESURABLY dissapointed you didnt Jimbo Foxee, just to see what the gamba was.
there's hotlines to help people like you
Dang Nova’s looking kinda spicy
A Song of Ice and Spice
+2
watching you almost not pick nova was like peeking directly into a loss for a moment
another reason why nova might go first at 40:02 is because the frenzy might not have updated like with frost guardian still hitting a 2nd time even tho rockhog dies or with bombom and krono
Hey Voyix,
Thanks for introducing me to Wildfrost, it's a great game! Have been watching your wild/monster/slice content for a while. I don't usually comment but your point from around 27:30 (about Wildfrost being a game where you have to be very vigilant and keep double checking everything) really hit home for me.
Lately I've been losing a ''winning'' run after run because every time I will overlook something small, usually involving my carry character dying from very preventable situations that i fail to notice. For example one time I Blaze Bome'd my Foxy into Peppereaper and killed the run myself, which made me feel like the game could really use an undo last move button like in slice & dice (also other things like simply not noticing spikes/aimless killed me before). I've lost my winning streak 3 times because of situations like it.
If you do go out of your way to respond to this, would you be able to give me some advice on how to improve? I'm still struggling to get the 3 win streak achievement and I'm just playing at 10 bell difficulty. Do I really just have to reassess the board each turn just to be safe?
Either way, thanks for the great content, cheers!
I think that triggered effects take priority over frenzy. So if we have 2x frenzy enemy with mimik attacking nova, when the first attack goes, the attack itself triggers mimik and puts it in queue, and then when hit nova puts her triggered ability in the queue. But, mimik put its ability in queue first, so it happens first. I think the intuition here is that mimik triggers when an ally in the row attacks, not when they hit, so it happens before hit effects.
yeah i think the big question was if both hits of smackback will take priority as one smackback effect being triggered or if another trigger would interrupt the second frenzy hit
Man I’m a HUGE nova fan despite my most dominant runs with her having zero block generation instead winning with jimbo, balance or smackback 😂 when she goes she goes
I think what makes sense to remember is if an enemy has frenzy and a mimic behind and they hit nova, 2 triggers go into stack after first hit mimic and noval losing block. Enemy mimic resolve fiirst and then you get priority.
But in that case the opposite should apply also which I would need to double check, meaning if you have mimic and hit into snapback I don't remember if your mimic goes first or enemy snapback.
i hit cake charm on ice dice earlier today and went supernova! i'll post a pic in the discord
44:23 Immaculately timed line
it's fun how they made a character named pimento be dark skinned and look like pimento from Brooklyn 99, very stereotypically Latino if I say so myself
ah i havent seen brooklyn 99 so i didnt draw the parallel
Missed ice dice in the shop
Tactical nuke incoming.
nova when she or an ally loses block: i think 3 to all is pretty good here
nova when she balance charm: i think all in 3 is pretty good here
29:55 mist ice dice
39:45 no vase for the MONEY?
I did a nova blunky run and was like, damn, this character is pretty cool, and then i got a balance charm in my next nova run and realized she's the best character in the game
So, here's a hypothesis: trigger effects put themselves at the top of the stack.
you missed ice dice
got 2 wins one with chuckling nova and another with greedy tiko
Hmm I do agree on the Charm Vs. Money part.
Charm path is basically 'instant guaranteed power' - however due to the "gamba" nature of the charms, you might get something that's not that worth it - Plus you have a playstyle where you like to set up a 'clear path' before applying them so this 'instant guaranteed power' might be delayed anyways.
Money path is like a 'delayed, but more versatile power' as later on, you can choose HOW that ~50ish gold is going to be utilized, meaning it could go for something more useful, like a crown, Plus your playstyle allows you to take these 'delayed power paths' since you know how to manage this deficit.
So yeah, money path definitely works way better for you.
it's more specific in this case, but i have a stigma against node 1 charm machine. I believe that the charm machine there will often than not give you pengu charm or yank charm or other low quality charm, so i just go money
@@shinydiamond1126 Ohhh interesting. This could be the case.. perhaps they do have "tiers" when it comes to charm machines.
It's indeed a thing to consider.
Ah, today was a nice day. I mean it was 10 hours of job training which was less nice, since I did it all last year, but it was still pretty fun. Camp's a good time! It was nice catching up with old coworkers who I liked, and meeting new coworkers that I get along with. Had a drink at Applebees after the Walmart run, which was a good end to the day. I'll see which Voyix videos I get watched tonight, hopefully it's at least yesterday's videos!
So if I say “Missed Ice Dice” then I summon Voyix?
careful, don't melt that block
oh also, missed ice dice
nova's trigger also contradicts how mawjaw's trigger works. i think you just have to know 🤷♂
I like wildfrost a lot but I do think is suffers from most of the things aren't playable in most spots so you end up picking the same optimal cards all the time.
i think there's a decent amount of valid lines, but like if you want to blind pick azul candle sometimes you're gonna be miserable
Supernova!
im not good at wildfrost, but i think its worth noting that theres some value to consider that the more charms you see, the more likely you will see good charms. Idk whats correct, but i think this should be included in the calculation
ya it's a thought for sure, the main issue is that you'll cap out around 20 charms in a run if you have a really good run with a lot of money and focus solely on charms and there's like 60 or 80 in the game, so i think the needle only shifts slightly towards seeing good charms
@@Voyix I think it would be valuable (and super interesting) if we rated the charms on their usefulness and versatility, and then saw what the percentage was when picking charms to get something good, or how the numbers change based off how many charms are acquired
31:03 110 health truffles?
ya when there's a bunch of triggers stacked up on the split like that it stalls, pretty sure the way the game handles it is it makes a new truffle then copies his hp to be the same as the one he just split off of, so when it slows down like that you can see the fresh truffle
Before we know the outcome, I'm going to guess that Nova will hit the warthog, get smackbacked, lose her block, and then she will immediately go he will not finish all 5 hits
correct, good work
@@Voyix I got lucky, she interrupted something earlier in the run and I assumed that she would do it again.
You need to share that priority list with us man
it's far from finished, right now it's just overburn (if it's lethal) > smackback > puffball/mega mimik > sunglass chime > nova's block lose trigger > frenzy
29:54 monkaS
ICE DICE NOOOOO
(Its actually not that bad But whatever)
You’re not standing behind me :(
I wonder why frost gang kicked out The Ringer and... Does Kronker even count as a frost spirit? He looks more like a spirit encased in Frost which is not the same
You missed ice dice bro????????????????
This was the Pimento run with the dragon pepper into spice stones.
I can 1v1 Nova
On a 3 counter with 4 blocks? No way
@@JoaoOliveira-tb9un I can do it
Why is Nova always killing units in a different order? Sometimes it is 1,2,3;4,5,6 and other times it is 4,6,2;3,5,1. It doesn’t seem related to the health of the enemy but seems semi-related to the spawn order. Almost everything in the game happens in turn order or reverse turn order, so it is weird seeing the game do things in whatever order it feels like.
someone suggested it might be in order of enemy hp when 6 enemies die at once, i actually just have no idea
Day 1 of asking Voyix to play Zoomlin Wafers
He did it on stream with bom barrel
