    I was doing squat with normal variation that we usually do in the gym but a guy came to me and said keep your feet ahead from your weight. I was shocked to hear that but I did as he told me but felt intense pressure on my knees. Just do with regular form on smith machine.

    Man i was doing this mistake since 5yrs..thats why i couldnt go beyond 150kgs in smith machine but in free bar i could go to 185kgs....tq bhai for such good informatn

    The form you showed first is the shittiest form of squat cuz the bar is not on the mid foot increasing the moment arm between the soles and the bar thereby increasing the effort. I dont even know where this form came from. The low bar is the most accurate.

    I dont agree with u on this....doing right squat position on smith is not good for our lower back cause the weight is fixed and it does not counter balance like a free rod so ultimately putting much pressure on lower back my suggestion is not to use smith at all

    Thank you Gaurav bhai! This is exactly how i was performing squats lately using the smith machine. And that too because my trainer taught me this wrong method!🤣 And i was wondering why my knees hurt and why can't i lift heavy anymore.

    Smith machine squat with normal squat position is going to put your back in shitty position....a little leg out is nothing but a hack squat...it's not injurious to knee....those who don't agree please search how to do Smith squat on net and see the opinion of world-class trainer.....
    Never do Smith squat with legs directly under the bar, it will create uneven pressure on your feet and back....

    Arey chaacha mere wo pair aage kar k jo karte hain use hack squat bolte hain. Jinke gym me hack squat ki machine nai hai wo aisa krte hain. This is normal. Also it doesn't isolate your quads . Its for glutes & hams . When you go up , just push out from your glutes and tighten it everytime you come up.

    I'm sorry, there's no benefit in doing squats on a Smith machine. Always try using a power rack for squats

    Now, this is where it get contradictory. Mike O'Hearn uses higher leg position on leg press to target hamstrings and glutes attachment. This is just opposite to what you said. The point is, we have to find our own positions and technique which works for us. Anyway, a great video I hope my gym public will now listen to me and do a normal squat on smith machine(leg day? what's that? :P)
