Cheers. Jim, another good one. I don't have the patience you do, so my shop is being constantly in flux, because I've put things into the shop without much fore thought. Maybe this spring when the shoulder is healed and I'm able to move stuff around, I'll use some of your ideas as an inspiration to reorganize. You are man versus the machine.
Hey my friend, thank you for your kind comment. Hopefully your shoulder gets better, and you can do some stuff around your shop. In the meantime, I will keep making these videos for ya.
@@TheWoodworkingCorner Thank you, because I really enjoy watching you work. It's refreshing to see someone who knows what they're doing rather than the other guys who've watched a couple of UA-cam videos and now they are masters of the craft.
Hello Jim. I stumbled upon your channel with your three measuring hacks. I’m wondering if you could do that same thing without the backer board. Keep making great content.
Hi and welcome to the channel. Hmmm, considering that there is a french cleat on both walls, it probably could hold it up without a backer board and just have a flat shelf going across. I might have room on the opposite side of the workbench to test that out. Thanks for the input.
Cool concept - I'm all about shelves and making use of odd spaces. I'm always a bit leery of those space heaters though, I have a similar one and it draws enough current that I'd be worried about putting a no-name power bar in the path. When I use it, mine sits on my welding table plugged right into the wall surrounded by 5/8 firecode drywall. I replaced the receptacle with a commercial heavy duty plug for extra margin of safety. Maybe I'm paranoid but hey. Good luck!
I do hear ya. I only use it when I am in the shop. I had that plugged into another "smart" outlet and it did melt the outlet. This one is a strip outlet with a power surge protector on it. Not sure if that would help in the same situation.
