    Right off the bat, this setup breaks down in Redshift 2.6.44 for Cinema 4D when the gradient is applied in X-Particles at 23:45.

    FYI - I don't think you need to check the "Override" button in the motion blur tab on the Redshift tag; I'm pretty sure you only need to check that if you want to override the global motion blur settings.

    Hi Dan - very cool tutorial. Is there any way of controlling the time over which the particles change colour. For example if i wanted it to progress through the colours in the ramp over 20 seconds? Thanks

    Using X particles, the only working parameter from the user data shader is age normalized...

    I've had problems with a redshift tag on an emitter in redshift, and setting the tag to custom object. Simple primitives work. But using a custom geometry doesn't. Saving custom geometry as a redshift proxy and setting the proxy at the custom object works, but is that the only way? Then my last concern is getting XP to recognize the custom geometry's boundaries so rigid body collision is accurate, rather than collision based off a circular defined radius. With that level of specification my own research tells me I'm better off using Houdini for high amounts of geometry based rigid body collision but I was just wonder if x-particles had the capability with redshift. (Seems like XP is more on the side of radial particle based collisions rather than true rigid body geometry collisions).
    Also how come your ipr window looks different than the 2.5.69 commercial release of redshift for C4D? You're "start ipr" button is a triangle inside a circle, mine is just a triangle. And I don't have a direct button to do a Full render, I have to press SHIFT + R. Are you using the a newer version that will be the next release? I'm using 2.5.69 because I'm uncertain if Pixel Plow's render farm has updated their red shift to 2.5.72 and I don't want to upgrade just to have to downgrade back.

      This is not the IPR window. It's the Redshift Render View. It's a bit like the IPR window but with some extra goodies.

      How do I save Redshift textures with Assets, aka "Google Textures""? I always get an texture error, even if the asset is saved

    why I dont see TP data chanels in particle materials? I have r19 version and RS 2.5

    Just can't seem to get this to work at all, when ever I drop on the texture it's always one solid colour in the gradient

      You need to plug the ramp on the material shader, it doesn't work if you plug it directly on the output
