Also great advice! I tried to stick to a basic starting group composition plus Hakert or Torus, since most people with these issues will be in their first run in Tiltren!
This game is much like DOS2 - in a sense, damage is king. After starting the game again 4 times, I went fuck it, all DPS or go home. Just finished the game on region-locked hard mode. Team comp: 2 rangers, 2h mace, 2x2h axe, 2h sword, spearman. No tanks, no archers, just cleave-fest. Set-up is simple but effective. First action of business should be to try to get 1st area epic tomb relic and research it ASAP for a 2h mace, which makes the game a roflstomp. Also 1st point always on Run, 2nd on attribute for influence one.
@@clydianTbh I never liked full damage strat. I think it's retarded because it's basically "I kill you before you kill me". At the end of the day, having a tank, ranged damage dealers, etc. is very effective and at last for me more fun to play.
And tanks were absolutly amazing in DOS2 ngl Because you know, in a sense "not dying is king". We had taunts, backfire damage, buffs... Tbh very good strat to finish hard mode.
@@relax2413 agreed. This is one of the reasons why some of the experienced members of the community do challenge runs to make the game more difficult. :)
I believe I used the entry level iron weapons that are crafted by a blacksmith. They should require iron which can be mined at the salt mine and Petra mountain mine in Tiltren (there are other mines in other regions) and wood for the most part.
the ghost pack was nerfed eh, when i playe 1 year ago i used to avoid them if i wasn't in good shape now even with broken stuff is easy as hey only get 1 round of reinforcments
Letting a single unit flee the battlefield by accumulating 5 terror stacks helps on getting the immobility perk for said unit. Well, if you dominate the battlefield to the point you don't need this unit in this fight anymore ...
You can only capture them with a specific quest item for the Ludern region. There is currently no way in the base game to capture and use ghost pack animals on your team.
@@clydian TY I found this out an hour after I did the video again I just play the game and dont look at other youtube videos as I try to be real when I do things. I thank you for watching and giving me advice and how to do this. I hope you continue to watch and like all my videos.
The choke point advice is great strat.
Infantrymen Archers covering the choke points is also great at thinning the heard without taking stacks

On the hardest difficulty when ur units flee they leave forever
@@angelsanabria8497 extreme wasn’t a game difficulty when I made this video unfortunately. Let me see if I can add in an edit to this video.
Ghost busters, medieval style!
Who you gonna call?!
Thanks for this strategy tip! Getting ready to take them on, had missed this early so now am 8th, 7th level so should be fun.
You should be fine! Just treat them like they’re a big pack of animals and don’t forget to manage that terror level!

The new patch has changed things quite a bit!
I do love DOS2, but a game that is this easy when all you do it go full damage isn’t quite balanced ;)

@@relax2413 damage mitigation and removal is always king. Killing units before they move or having mega tanks both work for that.
Just what I was looking for, thank you!

Amazing video! So I have a question: what are the weapons you used on that battle?

I haven’t ran into one recently, but I do remember them being harder back in the day.
on extreme difficulty running for terror = dead companion sry learnt it hard way

Who needs terror immunity when you don’t take terror stacks ;)
@@clydian Someone like me, who loves free perks. :) Also you get immunity from being pushed back by special weapons and abilities, too.

If you lose the battle your troops that flee will die.
