@SaxlyCobi There are many high school/college coaches who emphasize on creating the sound on impact. They would even penalise a player for not hearing a sound from him.
Because sometimes (quite often) you’re not able to tackle the ball carriers hips! Sometimes you have to strike the shoulder pads, wrap and run your feet!
This looks so far different from when I played. No where near the level of physical violence as we had. I get it, it’s a new era. Football today is really arena football with an extra lineman.
This is such a good drill it’s not the Oklahoma but it definitely builds you for goal line situations.
I miss these drills tho
Awesome
Some like to hit with they helmet for the sound I rather tackle the right way than die at the age of 60 because I wanted to look like I can hit.
@Cory Belew not necessarily for the legs cause it easy to miss but the hip or slightly above the hip

Why is every one hitting so high 🤦🏽♂️lowest man wins👍
There hitting low but the contact is making them go up because there both pulling up. If you look closely they both go low
And u don’t really wanna go for lower than the knee Ecspecially on a teammate . In a game they probably chop

Lol high tackles aren’t effective btw they should go for the legs
