  • Will my years of cross country racing pay off? Or will I crash and burn on the ice?
    On this episode I take on the Canaan Fat Tire 50 k fat bike race in West Virginia on a Canyon dude. We had some training last week so I had some good feelings I could win this one if everything went perfect.

    Race looked awesome and the edit was pretty good, really liked the music. Some of the camera work was kind of rough though. I think a chin mount on a full face like the downhill guys use would have been perfect here - although the angles pointing back up at you were really cool as well.

    Hey JB, great race - I'm curious, do you remember what size tires you ran? I think the Dude ships with 3.8", but I'm wondering if those are big enough for these conditions. I'm doing my first fatbike race next Feb and trying to figure out if I should go with the stock 3.8's or upsize to 4.8".

    • @jeremiahbishopswheelhouse
      @jeremiahbishopswheelhouse  6 місяців тому +1

      Definitely get wider rims and tires!!! These are only good for hard pack groomed conditions.
      Riding with Jay in west Yellowstone he has some insane HED rims and he was floating away from us!!

    • @therondc
      @therondc 6 місяців тому +1

      @@jeremiahbishopswheelhouseawesome, thank you! I just got a new set of rims with 4.8" tires... so hopefully that'll do the trick! I picked a bit of a tough first race, 4km of groomed trails, then finishing with a 6km climb that averages 12%... at least it's only 10km though!
