- After a long time not making any The Sims 3 videos, I finally make one! Today I'm gonna show you all about mummies in The Sims 3 World Adventures. This video covers its characteristics, abilities, and how to play as them.

Too bad its come too early for such different gameplay. Even LGR used to said that its worth only 25$ at best.

but have the worst performance...i have rx 570 n cant get over 30-35 fps
Yet the Sims themselves in TS3 look so boring and ugly...and THE SAME 🤣 also the game was never optimized (no 64 bit support, some of the biggest bugs never got fixed by EA) and it is pretty much unplayable for me...and I have a gaming computer so yeah...
@@TONZAMUSIC They look realistic without the "plastic" and cartoon look of Sims 4. Moreover, we were able to change their clothes and looks with the colour wheel and textures.
However, I prefer modeling my Sims body with the new CAS and the new build mode is incredible. You are also right with the bugs of Sims 3.

Maybe it was annoying then but I miss the sims 3 quests... sims 4 is soo boring that sometimes I wish there were some quests

Sims 4 is lacking and does get boring the older Sims are way better imo.

like sims 3 was fantastic in its time but it was lagging and quiting often, had errors and the sims very too robotish with a few emotions
@@g.k.5165 True Sims 2 had really bad lag and it would crash alot but it was fun and still nostalgic in it's own way.

Nah, its okay, being THAT kind of simmer is acceptable since TS 4 been 6 years of meh so far.
@Drain Cleaner I think he's not simply saying want a mummy, but what we need to do if we add mummy to game, you know its encounter, challenges, and dire consequence. Also, they can reintroduce mummy to Jungle Adventure just in different form and look, since each culture may have a norm that said to preserved a dead body. But yeah jungle is bad for mummy preservation.

I play both 3 and 4, given that it's been six years, 4 is lacking a lot! In my opinion, all Sims 3 needed is the search bar in BB mode, the customization and maybe a couple of objects from 4; 4 needs the action packed gameplay and debug sorted like the one in 3. 4 is good for building etc, but 3 is King when it comes to playing with sims.
There's yet another way to add a mummy to your household. But I think it's really rare, happened to me once. 😀 If you travel to the past with the time machine that comes from inventing, there's a chance to bring home a mummy.
Oh, and if mummy travels to the past, it may find a cure and come back as a normal sim. 😁

I think this way the game was helping to fulfill the lifetime wish, where you needed three monsters in the household, and it was really related to the inventing skill. 😁

Both Sims 2 and 3 are better than Sims 4. Sims 4 is only better with CAS but they take time to add some features

Kinda mad that I had World Adventures and never even knew the Sphinx thing was a possibility. I cheated & looked thru all 3 worlds, all the mazes & whatnot, & still never saw this.
Sims 4 could never.

there aren't any more sims 3 occults to look at
watching this makes me realize how the different expansion packs just interact with each other! you have so many ways to cure mummification from different expansion packs alone. sims 4 packs feel like they just exist in a bubble and don't interact with the other packs like in sims 3.
The Sims 4 says they can do game packs for things like vampires using the argument of "muh they have more content" and yet here is the sims 3 with so many small details and yet part of a single large pack
The Vampires from both TS2 and TS3 sucks next to TS4 Vampires.
@@artytalkstodragons You don't have to buy eveything they lauch. I found Strangerville and My First Pet really useless so I don't own either of them.
Also, The Sims 4 was made up to every single PC. the Sims 3 is from 2009 and still struggle to run fine in 2020 PCs.
The Sims 4 does have a better mechanic and planning than The Sims 3, besides... That economical envoriment from nowadays makes everything expensive.

@@dzastin0713 I played Sims 2 BASE game. Way more features than the Sims 4 base game. By a mile, even after all the updates.
Furthermore, the packs from Sims 2 and 3 are far more playable than with Sims 4.
And it doesnt change the fact the team needs a fucking break for once. They are being rushed by EA, run into the ground and it shows.
Onlyabidoang: Mummies do not need to use the bathroom, but funnily enough, they can eat. I wonder where all that food goes when it gets digested?

Sims 3 is by FAR, the best in the franchise. The fact that I have had all the packs for years and still have so much to do... wow

I barely knew any of these! TS3 was so wonderfully fleshed out. Thank you for going into depth with these. They are really fun to watch

@@TONZAMUSIC It's a game from 2009. They were way ahead of the time technically. The game isn't even 64-bit and you can only do so much optimization with these limits.

Sims 4.....COULD NEVER!!!!! sims 3 has always been my favorite along with 2. (Yes ik..lagging) Simmers who are just now starting sims only until recent and never experienced the first releases of these packs....you missed out! But now I feel old 😂😂😂 I’m glad these are back. I have always loved these videos! ❤️

Sims 3 was so much intersting ..
Wow. World Adventures was their first Sims 3 expansion pack(if I recall correctly). Everything was so nuanced! I only played World Adventures a little bit, but never traveled to the actual destinations, only a custom neighborhood one I downloaded.
These videos are so helpful, as someone who chooses to still play Sims 3, I am always shocked at how many secrets I still don't know!

Oh ,this was my favorite EP from the Sims 3. This game is huge, I swear....
SO MUCH content for mummies and the mummy curse alone and SO MUCH interplay between Sims 3 packs when it comes to curing curses! God I miss how full of content the Sims 3 was! Most of this stuff I didn't even know was a thing!
Okay so once my sim defeated a mummy while tomb exploring. Later on she gets a call from said mummy asking her out for a date. Dude. (I would have accepted - the dude’s rich af, but she was in another tomb and clicking Accept might have landed her in a trap or something.)

Ah you don't have to, I play Sims 3 on my laptop. You just have to get NRAS mod (plus others, but I don't remember the other ones) and delete some family's from towns (they create bugs). Also, delete your cache files bafore playing the gamr.

The amount of cross pack game features is so impressive!! the fact that they added like a dozen ways to cure the mummy curse from DIFFERENT packs is why the sims 3 will always be superior.

Great video, I laughed. Yet another GREAT example of how well a thing, like being a mummy, can be so involved in Sims 3 and be completely absent in Sims 4. Sims 3 was much more creative when it came to adventure and having fun. I find I play Sims 3 far more than 4 these days.

I explored a tomb for the first time today after having an expansion pack for a month. The moment the first mummy comes out my sim l gets an attraction to them.😂
It happened every single time. My sim would be fighting with the mummy just as the attraction sound popped up. 😂😂😂

I think the mummies are an awesome life state, it’s kinda annoying how are super slow, but for me are so cool!
to be honest all life states need a downside so thats kinda cool.... its just that they exagerated a little bit on this one......

I would be interested if there would be mummy's in the Sims 4. Maybe in an Egyptian culture expansion or mod.
For the looks, I would like there to be different looks, even more human-like.
Similar to Cleo De Nile from Monster High, maybe they can have different styles.
Those are my thoughts.

The mummy’s curse death is one my favourite death types that I tried to add it to the Sims 4 with sims 4 studio but I don’t know how to have the custom animation play when the sim dies as it just becomes a death pose when the timer runs out and I don’t think sims 4 has screen effects like it’s predecessor however unlike sims 3 to curse sims is to click on the target sim and click curse. This mod is now in hiatus because of the game being updated repeatedly.

just proves that The Sims 3 is the GTA of the Sims franchise. incredible amount of gameplay and detail and design. the sims don't look fake or plastic. the worlds are huge, and the easter eggs countless.

The reason why I like sims 3 is because it has more occult creatures than the successor and the predecessors.
Finally
It feels like every expansion pack really adds something for the different lifestates. In The Sims 4 unfortunately it's not like this.
There are two more ways to cure the Mummy’s Curse:
1 Sleeping in the Blessed Sarcophagus.
2 Meditating for a few hours. If your Sim has at least five points in Martial Arts this is the easiest way to cure your Sim without cheats (unless you already have the Moodlet Manager).
