I'm REALLY glad they took some comments I gave them back in time in consideration. This episode seems so much better than the first... For so many reasons.
@@donutsama285 Nothing like that. I'm no one, english is not even my language but I exchanged with them very earlier before the release of the first game. When no one ever gave a f* about this game. I'm not involved in anything about this game, but I very early pointed the potential problems to me in this first game. And what this new game is IS definitely what I told them before the release of the first one. (And yes, many people gave feedback, of course, as one more nobody, I gave them this feedback). greetings.
This time warp mechanic is kinda cool, and I loved how smooth it looks. I liked the first game, but I hope they improved the gameflow - because that was a game were wasn´t about "you can play it in co-op" but "you HAVE to play it in co-op", because in single player the difficulty ramps up quite fast.
Watch it again, I counted 4. At the 1 min mark he talks about the 8 characters . The two female cops, then the two mutant females in the next she wolf and enchantress
I find it so disheartening that people think we're in a beatemup renaissance. The only good beatemup we've had since this all started is the new TMNT and SOR4, but even then they only got the gameplay right in SOR4, everything else about is terrible. Final Vendetta feels like a bland plain nod to something like Rival Turf which was seen as a very mediocre game at the time. Everything else literally isn't fit for release including the first Mayhem Brawler which just seems like tacky cash in on the SOR4 style without the gameplay. How can you compare any of the beatemups today with games like Final Fight, Vendetta, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage 2, Knights of The Round, Aliens VS Predator etc etc. If Final Fight Remake turns out not to be a 2D or at least 2.5D beatemup then this "Renaissanse" is over and we have nothing to show for it.
There's recent Double Dragon Gaiden which joins my top 3 with SOR4 and Shredder's Revenge, even if it lacks SOR4 combat depth. However, it adds fresh elements to a genre that's been very conservative.
Interesring take, we found Mayhem Brawler to be pretty solid, especially after the updates, but maybe its sequel will do it for ya? We also recommend Fight'n Rage, the Ninja Warriors Remake, Double Dragon Gaiden, Dawn of the Monsters, and River City Girls 1 and 2 if you haven't tried those yet. There are definitely more mid games comparatively, and hopefully, that changes in the future, but the genre is gaining popularity again, which is where the Renaissance comes in.
The thing for me is that some new beat em ups make a lot of emphasis on juggle combos, and in a beat em up is not something good. Super armor on some enemies and bosses in sor 4 is a thing i dont like at all. Cheap way of making things harder.
@@pepomega i mostly agree, but for *some* bosses, super armor makes a lot of sense. Since they are less aggressive than SOR1-3 bosses, without super armor they would be way too easy, because you could stagger them endlessly. Although some bosses do abuse super armor, that's for sure (Max for instance)
@@SLISKI_JOHNNY Its what i said. They had to use super armor because the routine attacks of the bosses were awful made. in other words, cheap way of adding difficulty. If you make better ai and routine of attacks for bosses, you dont have to rely on super armor to make things challenging.
Okay, I'm hooked by character design. She-wolf looks great.

This looks great, but the animations need to be tidied just a bit (work more smoothly). Other than that, great job.
