Bought 4 X8's for a project, but then decided to go with 15's. But before that, ordered a couple of things off of the surprise me (4ch a/b, and an SA8 v3), as well as a backup X8 from opened box. T-line aka 1/4 wave would make that woofer go insane. I had a 1/4 wave setup with 12" which required a GIANT box (took up the whole back seat of my 05 STI) and the bass it could hit at 200 watts is insane. Because you would imagine needing about 450 watts to get that level of bass. 1/4 wave are sexy. Works great with smaller subs because they take up less space. Bigger subs need bigger boxes to get the same effect. I would dare you to try a 1/4 wave. Built the wave guide to get slightly larger as it nears the port/wave exit.... this will help increase low end. that makes the bass sound more "fat" and hit lower. if you want accurate bass, you make the port get slightly smaller over time, this makes it super accurate. But most don't like that, so usually people shoot for the same size port throughout the 1/4 wave.
It's awesome to me that a pair of those could easily hit 136-ish (with no damage), which is what I used to be impressed by my trio of OG JL 10W6's in my old false floor (vented, 32ish). Even more stealth than the false floor type install, imagine four of these, two per side, in a hatch side-panel install, with hidden vents that fire behind beauty panels or have cloth grilles to mask their exits... You could have a 140dB daily driver that would blow people's minds because it would almost look like nothing in the trunk, and tiny cone subs.

🤫🤐💪💪 My Brotha
At that price point imaging running 6 of them big boys in your 6-12 box. OMG couldn't breathe 😂😂😂
Soundqubed is the best:) I have 2 HDS3.1 12's and 2 HDS3.1 15's in my room and only paid a little over $500 best bang for buck.
Very nice!
I'd love to have this subwoofer
