I had one coming to me like that. I wonder if feeding them will hurt them through the winter since we are taking away their need to forage?

I don't think it will hurt them because they always find food from the trees, Mika The Squirrel is not relying on me the whole time, I saw them in the trees eating fruit and they will come to me or to my bird feeder if they want nuts and seeds.
