One of the most informative videos on structure, color, perspective, and tones I have ever gone across!! As a. novice painter, you have helped me immensely! Many, many thanks!!
This is an amazing video! Thanks so much! I feel like tonal values are the science and magic that makes the painting and I just can't get enough input!
Another Great Show Graeme. Barry's teachings are awesome ! Very well explained techniques and demonstrations in such a pleasing and relaxing tone. Great Job Guys !
Probably not Anita. My nerve disease has become very well set in and as much as I love doing the traveling and interviewing my health is just not good enough. Thank you for caring though, Graeme
@@ColourinyourlifeAu Thank you for replying Graeme. May the Almighty grant you complete recovery! The show will never be the same without you. You are greatly missed.
I just found your channel through Pinterest. I’m thoroughly enjoying the lessons. Being new to painting with acrylics, how can I keep the paint from drying too fast?
@@mccannfineart Could you please share, How do you bring both value n tone together- From your approach can I gues is it by making the value first and then adding the tone into it? I hope you understood the question 🙏 Please advise it may help many of us who watch. Thank you, With lots of respect and appreciation 👏👏👏 Thank you dear Graeme these gems who are best experts and teachers together that makes this show like a beautiful ornament. 🙏👏👏👏👏
@@jacobthomas9364 I identify the patch of colour I wish to replicate and decide on which family of colour that patch belongs in. This will be either a primary colour, (red, blue or yellow) or a secondary colour (purple , green or orange). I try and make this colour and then make it lighter (usually with white paint) which is called a tint, or darker (which can be done by adding intense colour and/or black) which is called a shade. So really, I make the colour first and the value second and this gives me the tone.
@@mccannfineart Thank you, I now remember the 3 pallets you have taught in this video 1, earthen, 2, warm n 3, cool. Sorry to make you repeat. Thank you for your patience n support.
Sorry, are there other artists in this channel.like it was always been before, or is it just about you only?🥸I would like to see different artists, not only one🤓

Hope you are inspired to paint. Barry
What size brush are you using
I mainly use a #4 Filbert brush for most of the cat and a #12 flat for the background.
