I’m shocked that CBJ didn’t keep Nylander, what was the point of acquiring him at all if he performs and you just let him go instead of signing and/or trading him again. Any team in a rebuild in search of young cheap players should give his agent a call. Any team lacking offensive depth should give his agent a call.
Habs need wingers too, we're set defensively for a long time and might have to trade some out of the big quality roster of prospects we have, and on Centre we're good, (Suzuki, Dach, Newhook, Evans), no wonder Hughes picked a winger (Demidov) to start things with, I hope Mesar gets a try, as the other 2022 round 1 pick too. I'd take Sprong over Gallagher, although the latter has finally played a whole season for once since a long time. Armia kind of showed himself to be useful again (18 goals), but even the second line's wingers are rough to look if they want to give Dach some quality wingers. We even lost a prospect who was only good in shootouts, unfortunately, as in Ylonen. Ty Johnson was real good until he got injured each of his seasons in Chicago. Alex Nylander was great when he was traded to Columbus, I'm also surprised they didn't sign him to league minimum. Pretty much all of those guys I'd take with the Habs except for Johnson, we're good with our centres.
With Nylander, he scored 11 goals but was getting top line minutes due to injuries. But now that the team is healthy he would be a fourth liner and role would shift. Could they have kept him, yeah, but it makes sense to let him walk as well given the prospects that may be called up and Nylanders role.
Love these videos Jesse! Perfect length, perfect amount of intel and insight. It’s a one stop shop for my hockey news (and other sports… I like those ones too!). #TeamDAS
I lamented Kraken giving up Sprong a couple off-seasons ago, and here he is again. In '22-'23, he put up 46 points in 66 games with a +13 and *11:25 TOI*! This is the kind of depth bargain player that can complete a team on a cup run.
Jesse Blake… I think your intro should just keep on repeating “Jesse Blake” with different tones, Jesse Blake…. Jesssseeee blake, blake Jesse… Jesse …. Blake 😎
These players will get contracts once teams have signed their RFAs. And there is no way Nylander will sign for league minimum. I would be shocked if Nylander signs less than 2 million a season.
Jesse Blake never sleeps

doesn't shave either.

Same! It’s a really strange decision to not bring him back
Toronto could use another Nylander.
Jesse cooked with this one
James van Riemsdyk played a lot of games for the Bruins last year where you barely noticed he was even on the ice.
Lmao 💀💀
Rumour has it that he actually played 74 games last season, but nobody noticed 3 of them...
I would love to see Dallas get a guy like jvr for some depth or Tyler Johnson if they want some third line or fourth line depth
Ondrej Kase. CJ said he wanted to come back. Had a healthy season overseas. I hear like NO ONE talk about him
No mention of Jakub Vrana? He could totally contribute to somebody

Kraken need to bring back sprong, but they gotta sign Beniers first cuz they're getting close to the cap limit. Shave that beard
Celebronny.

Thanks Jaclyn!!
I think coaches just hate Sprong, based on how his tenure went with Seattle and how it sounds like it went with the Red Wings
Do we think Gio is officially done?
I think so unfortunately
New sub but i like your hockey IQ
Thank you!
Love when Jesse goes high pitched 🤣
🗣️🗣️
Once he hits puberty, it will change…..😮 😂😂😂😂😂😂
TyJo is washed, Jess. Richardson even called him out specifically in a way at the end of year pressers. He's got less than zero jam.
Tyler Johnson might help Toronto at third line center?
Daniel Sprong is the oldest looking 27 year old I've ever seen. He could pass for 57 years old.

Sprong refuse to play defense during the regular season, you think he's going to grind and take the hits to make the plays during the playoffs?
Wouldn't that be a Defensive Powerhouse,TWO NYLANDERS !
Play them both on the PK
@@JesseBlakeSportsReport The Opposition would Love that move.
Alex nylander or mainly tyler johnson ( toronto needs to make hard push for )
Lightning should go for Nylander Johnson or Pacioretty
To call Nick “the turtle” Cousins one of the toughest players in the NHL is a wild statement
Is that an official nickname 🤣
The Daniel Sprong one I really don’t get. He must be asking for just too much money and holding out to get it
Nah, watching him in Detroit was frustrating. The guy can't play defense at all.
Jesse Blake… I think your intro should just keep on repeating “Jesse Blake” with different tones, Jesse Blake…. Jesssseeee blake, blake Jesse… Jesse …. Blake 😎

Most of the teams with little cap space can bury 1.5M (or only 1M) in the AHL, so they could get 1 more guy on a bargain deal.
Jesse tells you God's honest truth.
Jesse jesse jesse .. all these guys are islanders... We just don't know it yet 😂
Are we gonna just pretend he didn’t fart 😂😂😂
Jvr to New Jersey
Tyler Johnson to Boston
Alex Nylander to Toronto
3 old guys to Pittsburgh
The Penguins wants to be the oldest team of all time and take Suter, Wheeler and Max?
@@YesMan-uy4cj yes
@@ianespie1529 nice fun to se Karlsson in that retirement home
Tony D’Angelo should try not being a piece of garbage and maybe he’d get a job
🫢
Schultz?
I was wondering about that omission too - another RHD to add to the Barrie, DeAngleo list
Could Nick Cousins be the answer for the Leafs at 3C
No, he’s a fringe 4th liner at best
Cousins isnt tough he's dirty and fake tough. Also been asking Boston to sign Sprong for 3 years I'm giving up hope lol
JVR is one of the worst wingers in the NHL in his own zone. Remember JVR / Bozak / Kessel? It was horrible.
You're right. Kessel was the worse player on that line.
If Cousins is still gonna do all the chicken shit things he does, I want him nowhere near the Devils. Keep him away from my team.
