The driver who brought me comfort and made me fall in love with the sport. He brings a lot of personality and skill to Formula 1, and his absence can leave a void. 😭😭😭💔
I used to be an RBR fan until Redbull took the ginseng out of their energy drink and turned it into an over hyped fizzy caffeine drink. I didn't notice until I was on my 3rd RB for a shift and read the can and noticed NO GINSENG.(Before the removal, I could drink one can and it would get me through a whole shift.) I dropped 'em like they were hot. A fan, I am not.
He had you to catch his last moments. More than enough!!! These pictures speak volumes. I’m grateful for daniel and whatever he gets into I will be watching. 😢
Daniel has always been my favorite driver since I got into the sport and he has done so much for not only the sport of Formula 1 but Motorsport as a whole. And when you take a step back and look at the whole of his career from HRT, Toro Roso, Redbull, Renult, Mclaren, and back to Toro Roso, it's kind of a full circle moment. And when you think about it, it's kind of poetic because for a driver that always brought such big fan fair to the sport his ending has non of it. It's a sad way to leave but I bet he proud of all he has done for his career and the sport as a whole.
Daniel has really been there since I started watching F1. He just had this positivity about him as if he enjoyed every moment, and he raced like no tomorrow. I even had two shoeys in his honor when he got a podium in 2020 at Imola and his last win in '21. Now that he appears to be done, I'm just gutted. Even if his performance had dipped, he was a breath of fresh air every time we saw that big smile. Thank you, Danny Ric, best wishes to you, mate.
You have proved every team you drove for with experience and courage, which is priceless. I hope to see you in 3 weeks. Thanking you for the many years of my love F1.
Nice work as always Kym. Thanks for doing this for all the F1 fans who love this sport. Daniel is a driver who has likely been the best ambassador for the sport over the past few years and his personality will be missed in an era where it seems that very few drivers publicly show any real emotion or personality.
Honestly they did him dirty on this whole situation. I know this isn't your "I'm retiring" leaving like Vettel but at least give everyone an announcement and give him a send off party or something.
After helping Max with turning in the fastest lap yesterday, they can't even say to him, "What have you done for us lately?". Although I don't think it will happen, I would like to see Red Bull lose out on Manufacturer Of The Year, just for the backhanded way they handled Danny's leaving.

I've been following DR ever since he started f1 through all the highs and low and will continue where he races again.
Thanks for all the videos, photo's and updates kym.
DR3 you will be missed 😢
Thanks Kym. You bring such an important and beloved perspective of F1 for us!!
I am going to mis Daniel. Thanks for sharing.
When you (as a person) know, you just know...
Thank you Daniel, I'm sure you going to be back in one way or another.
Kym your straight reporting and capturing moments in photos has earned you another subscriber.
Such an emotional goodbye for daniel , knowing the fact that i faced something similar recently. So i can genuinely relate to him on a personal level
The driver who brought me comfort and made me fall in love with the sport. He brings a lot of personality and skill to Formula 1, and his absence can leave a void. 😭😭😭💔
Never been a fan of RBR team behavior, and this is another example of why.
I used to be an RBR fan until Redbull took the ginseng out of their energy drink and turned it into an over hyped fizzy caffeine drink. I didn't notice until I was on my 3rd RB for a shift and read the can and noticed NO GINSENG.(Before the removal, I could drink one can and it would get me through a whole shift.)
I dropped 'em like they were hot.
A fan, I am not.
@@spornbot You can buy ginseng powder if you feel like mixing it in with Red Bull (or making your own energy drink).
What a class act, Daniel. Kudos for capturing this Kym.
As a new F1 fan, I wish I had more time watching the sport with Daniel as a driver.
Wait until Max leaves, we're gonna hate it. It's going to be very drab after some of these fellows reitre.
@@stevenklocinski8558well then you better hope max wins the title this year, otherwise you’ll be saying goodbye to him as well
@Tengile. Props, mate. I remember watching Williams-BMW mop the floor with everyone else.
2014 was an epic year for him
@@un6250???
He had you to catch his last moments. More than enough!!! These pictures speak volumes. I’m grateful for daniel and whatever he gets into I will be watching. 😢
Redbull, give Daniel the final drive in Abu Dhabi, a proper send off. He deserves that much at-least
Why? He has under performed since returning, and the team need to focus on Haas. They don't owe him more underperformances at their expense..
Another great video and a great wrap up of his great career.
I'm near tears. What a beautiful video. Thank you for making it so bloody easy to love you DR3
Glad you enjoyed it
Daniel has really been there since I started watching F1.
Thanks for the update about Daniel, he will be missed.
Kym- we all know Daniel was one of your favourite drivers and he should be!!! One of my favourite too :)
Good choice!
You have proved every team you drove for with experience and courage, which is priceless. I hope to see you in 3 weeks. Thanking you for the many years of my love F1.
Hope it’s not the last time, he’s going to,be missed
@@ronw59 for real. The way he's leaving after the GP feels like he has done nothing good to the sport and just dump him out of the family and the sport all together.
@@dennisthewalker It's a damn shame and happening to one of the nicer guys in F1 too. I can't stand Horner anymore, he's really turned out to be a POS.
This was better journalism than most who call themselves journalists.
Cheers for that v
Daniel, Seb and Grosjean are the drivers that made me watch modern F1. just like all sports all serious won't do it. a sport need someone like Danny. I wish some team picks him up
Almost hope that Sebastian Vettle would return to F1 some days.......
Kym, Thank you for this segment on Daniel & for your kind coverage of his final hours in Singapore. I am a relatively new fan to F1 & Daniel quickly became a favorite of mine. Shame on Red Bull for such shoddy treatment of Daniel. He deserves much better. I look forward to your vlogs. You add a lot to my understanding & enjoyment of F1.
I am a new fan brought in by DTS season 2, Daniel was a huge part of that, gutted to see him go out like this. Appreciate Kym for your coverage, you have became an institution of F1 media.
Thanks.
Thankyou Kym!! Daniel deserves so much more and this was just the best!!Hes our favourite and always will be!! DR3
He could do great in other competitions!
Kym, I think what ur trying to say at around 3 min in this video is, Daniel showed his unbelievable high class in how he handled the media and red bull has no class at all in how they handled the retirement of a legend of the sport who gave his career to rb and they repaid him with this classless dismissal.
Thank you for this. You did him a Greta service in his final goodbye. Makes me sad.
$150M in the bank mid thirties... Living the dream! What a life.
Lance would have had to save his allowance for weeks to make that much!
If your dream was to be an F1 champion, its been a bit of a nightmare since he went to McLaren.
If he is out of F1 now, he can get on and live some of his other dreams.
Kym, Thank you for your kind and compassionate comments on Daniel’s departure from Singapore without any formal confirmation from RB. He has been a true champion of the sport and a much loved person in the paddock. I got into watching F1 because of Mark Weber and Daniel and hope Oscar Piastri can represent his country with honour as they did. Thanks again Kym I was moved by your presentation. Muzza Mandurah
He will be truly missed he is a beautiful guy. RB are disgustingly for this
Thanks Kym for the great tribute to Daniel glad someone paid him some respect.
He'll be missed
Nope. Glad the overrated money grabber is gone. Lets a new exciting talent in.
@murphyebass7837 congrats being a sour loser.
@@murphyebass7837 I don't think he's that overrated people are well aware he's over his prime
@@murphyebass7837from the 2014 grid, Bottas, Hamilton, Hulkenberg and Perez you deemed Ricciardo the one who has to leave asap?
Look who has 0 points in this 2024 season.
@@steph4356 they should all be gone. Bottas as bad as he’s been is driving a bus. Hulk has at least had glimpses of talent. Perez I fully agree has to go. Hamilton as much as I hate the guy can’t be dismissed. He’s still able to race when he has the right machine under him.
But yeah I’ll be happy to see the back of DR.
Goign to miss him so much! He's why I got into F1. Great coverage, Kym, glad I found your channel.
The way Red Bull/VCARB have handled this is disgusting! It’s very clear that it’s his final race, but not announcing it officially to Daniel or the Fans is not the way to treat such an experienced driver. He deserved a proper send off!! Nobody will begrudge RB wanting to swap Lawson in, that’s F1, it happens. But treat your driver with the respect he deserves.
Disgraceful RB 👎 I hope you finish last in the Constructors now
What a beautiful piece of video of and for Daniel
To have him miss out doing burnouts on the cooldown lap with Max and other drivers, or applauded down the pitlane like Massa, is an absolute travesty.
You`re the King, Kym! You`ve made `farewell` into a transitive verb. Mere mortals would say `bid Daniel farewell` but you show us a new way. Great video too!
Sad day, Definitely!!! Best of luck Danny Ric.
Vcarb and Red Bull handled Dan's exit from F1 disgracefully. We all knew he was on his way out, but seriously, he deserved a proper send off. Why all the secrecy? Can't figure that one out, but then again, what do you expect from Helmut 'Voldemort' Marko. We will miss him being on the grid. Thank you, Daniel for being the sunshine and smile of F1. Thanks for the post, Kym.
i forever hate Dr. Helmut Marko on ditching drivers... Danill Kvyat, Pierre Gasly, Alex Albon and this Daniel Ricciardo.... when will be this old bloke get out of the RedBull team and F1 entirely...
And Nyck de Vries (unceremoniously!)
Thanks Kym for documenting this for the fans of Daniel.
It's all about his contract. Nobody is being mean to DR. It's a performance based contract with a trigger date that obviously hasn't come up yet. Probably at the first of the month.
I think he deserved to say a proper goodbye though
Maybe to align with start of financial quarters?
This should have been broadcast/announced by Red Bull at the very least. We know why but the world did not - Total disrespect imo
And the management performance of Helmet and Cristian?
How about Perez then 😜🤣. Clearly he’s triggered something as well.
Thank you for capturing this, Kym. Daniel always has a way to make fans smile. He was my favourite driver because of his wonderful personality. I'm going to miss seeing him a lot. Hopefully, Red Bull have something planned for him in the background that we're not aware of yet. It just seems like a cruel send-off otherwise. 😞 Thanks for always being so entertaining, Daniel!
❤ from 🇨🇦
If PR won titles then he'd have a bucketload.........
He was a sponsor’s dream wasn’t he?
If Mercedes were not so dominant he would potentially have 2 titles don't disregard how good he was
Man... you're making me cry again just like when I saw some of those interviews :'(
Absolutely disgusting, love him or hate him for all he has done for F1 it’s just downright disrespectful.
Golly Kym your content is SOOOO good. thank you!
I’ve been watching and analysing F1 a lot longer than Kym - Adelaide 1986 was my first race - Ric Has underperformed for 5 years now given his salary and experience - you know sometimes life’s hard and you’ve got to be tough. Go Liam!! Show what that car can do - not 15th…
Thank you, Kym, for this beautifully narrated point of view!
Remarkable tribute 😢thank youbfor tge detail
i heard some people fell down to their knees in a Tesco here
I'm new to F1. I came after watching DTS. And seeing Danny's post-race interview hit even me, not to tears, but made me sad
The only thing I'm thinking is, what if Checo drives poorly in the next 2 races, will RB give Daniel a chance? Like main reason why Perez is still there (Mexico GP) will be behind and there will be no reason to keep him. I don't want to blame Checo, he is the first one who noticed problems with RB19. But this year he is doing too much damage. And I'm just talking about crashes
