thank you so much!!! i have thousands of images thatre just screenshots i took of cool comic pages and now i can rename them really easily. thank you again!!!
Thank you for the video. Is there a way to rename batches of files while keeping the original sorting order? I wish to rename a bundle of pics, but I want to keep them in the same order they are now, to show the progress of the subject in the pics.
There are some options you can explore. You can use a third-party app. You can download Windows PowerToys, which has a power rename tool. If you're comfortable with scripting, you can write a script (Python or PowerShell) to access and rename files in a specific order. This gives you more control over the renaming process and allows for complex renaming patterns.
That works but to a point. I did all that you suggested, but then what happened was that there's 116 pictures in my folder, and when it got to the 26th picture, it started adding the number in parenthesis starting with (1) again????? It went like this. Christmas (1) and then labeled the rest to number 26 but then started over again like this, Christmas (24), Christmas (25), Christmas (26), Christmas (1), Christmas (2)
hi...how about you need to rename multiple images and the file name is written in the image? example multiple scanned receipts which you need to follow the receipts numbers as file name.

Not sure what happened. There are limitations with using file explorer. Other ways to do this would be to use PowerToys or a third-party utility.
What is power toys?@@Forevermoretraining
A third-party app you can download that gives you additional features.
Super helpful thank you for this
Super welcome. Thanks for stopping by.
Nice video can you remove the numbers in bracket?
Not as long as you are using the same name for each image.
Hello. Thanks for sharing, althdough when I do that my photos are renamed it rename two photos with the same number.
Interesting. I think so many of these tips depend on what system we are using. What works one way for me may not work the same for others.

Sounds like you need some sort of OCR scanner. There are image to text apps out there.
