Closest to a Baracuta, that I know of, is the Real Hoxton harrington. Only the tartan lining actually differs, and it's of course a fraction of the price. Go check it out.

100% worth it. I prefer the Baracuta G9, rather than Ralph Lauren, Lacoste or Barbour.
In Boston the signature for Irish gangsters was the Barracuda jacket, dating back to the 1960s. Obviously it was all about leather outerwear in the 1970s, the barracuda came back in 1980s and still kills in Beantown today!
James Dean is not wearing a Baracuta G9 in the photo. He is wearing a Mcgregor Drizzler jacket.
I’ve got a red Harrington just like James Dean had in Rebel Without a Cause. I sometimes wear my swayed black timberlands boots or my Nike 90s style shoes. With my dark or light blue jeans.
James Dean didn't wear a G9.. but the jacket he wore help popularize the G9

Dont forget these cheaper brands often dont have the "double zipper feature" which i really like on Baracuta. Great jacket but should be bought around 200 euros, close to 400 is too much.
@@DerHalbeEuro 300? Read what i said.. also in the end its all subjectieve. I find that the cheaper ones often don’t look as good.
whats the point of a double zipper on such a short jacket? On something like a parka or a long mid thigh to knee rain jacket, I get, so you can get to your pant pockets easier, but never got it on shorter coats. if anything, its. just slightly harder to zip up since you have to align both zippers right.

One of my favorites in my collection.
I was looking at the G4 for forever; I prefer the non-ribbed sleeve/bottom even though the G9 is the true classic. Finally bit the bullet last year because they were 50% off because they were selling old stock for a new 2021 cut of it (not sure what the difference is). I really like it, if you want a Harrington then I don't know if any imitations look just right compared to this one, though I think the sleeves are a bit curved which is normal but I prefer really straight sleeves.
I also had the Baracuta G9 in Navy, but I felt it was too slim fitting for me, so I switched over to the Valstarino dark navy suede jacket, which fits better, and adds more texture and character to the jacket, button up front, and external pockets, and an Italian flare.
By the way, I love how you talk about whatever you like on your channel. I'm going to take your lead and try switching over my videos from strictly Rolex to the other things I own...

How tall are you? I see you are rocking the sz 38 and the fit looks good. I'm indecisive on whether to go 36 or 38, but knowing your height will greatly help me decide.

I buy today a G4 and the fit is a bit different and its maybe more durable because of the wrist and collar of the jacket 😊 but we will see

Hah, sorry man! Sure, I'm a 38 on this jacket, and it fits quite snug so if you're normally a 38, you may actually benefit going up to 40.

@@stevensoto3724 I already bought the dark navy as well. I like it a lot but it really is just a minor shade away from black. I'm definitely keeping it but if I had known I probably would have gone with the regular navy. Overall the g9 is just as good a fit and high quality as I'd hoped it would be.

How'ss the fit? TTS?
I’d say it’s almost TTS, but might actually size up if you’re anywhere in between sizes. For example I sometimes wear 36 and sometime 38 suits depending on the maker- went 38 here
I’d DEFINITELY size up. Also be aware that Baracuta has a ‘Classic’ fit and an ‘Archive’ fit. The latter gives you slightly more room and length in the sleeves/body.
