When I was younger, I always wondered why Tono ran out of Nitrox 2. But then I realised...how did the two CLYP cars get their Nitrox? Maybe they stole it from one of the racers? One who just so happens to run out for some unexplained reason? Just a little theory.
As an adult now, this helps make the nostalgia hit even harder. I never understood until now. It’s still technically head cannon but genuinely the most plausible explanation, esp since it was someone from Street Breed who lost their Nitrox
2:36-3:06 I do feel really sorry for Tono since he didn't make it to the portal as his car wasn't fast enough; he somehow ran out of Nitrox 2, and he fell too short.
The shot at 2:35 where Road Rocket, 24 Seven, Side Draft, and the Firebird do wheelies is one of my absolute favorite scenes from the movie. Edit: I think Aeroflash already made it through the portal. Maybe that's why we don't see Aeroflash doing a wheelie in that scene.
I’ve watched this movie probably 600 times since it was released (i was 5 when it was released and im 23 now) and the last 15 times I’ve seen this movie I have noticed there are a lot of inconsistencies and different errors in the animation

In Hot Wheels Unleashed 2, there's a CLYP livery that made me realize that.
They are earlier prototypes probably, before they became the race car version with the wing
