I'm glad you think so. It'd be great if UA-cam served this up to more people. Watching the video to completion and hitting that LIKE button sure does help out. Thanks for watching!
Devin, dude... Your videos have gotten sooooo much better than they used to be and that's incredible because all of your videos are fantastic. The camera angles, the drone footage, the audio clarity and even the editing and music are just out of this world. I sincerely believe you have the best fishing videos on this platform. Thank you for putting in all the time and effort. And yes, of course I still remember that you owe me a fishing trip.
I've been a circuit pro for almost 30yts This is hands down the most exciting video I've seen in years. You kept me glued to my seat waiting on sunrise.
Some don't realize how hard it is for a single person to keep up with all the cameras, drones, editing, worrying about not spooking the fish to get a quality video. Awesome job as always! I always enjoy watching. Thanks for your hard work!
Devin you are turning into one hell of a film producer. Ever thought about putting your blog on TV. You have convinced me to join your Navy. Such great sequencing of your shots.
I have to admit you are very persistent. I admire that. I caught two triple tail on a snapper trip in Venice last year. We were running along and saw these fish hanging out beneath an ice chest lid. They ravenously attacked a DOA that I threw at them. Extremely tasty! Some of the best tasting saltwater fish I’ve ever had.
Great video. I've not yet tried targeting Tripletail, but it's on my list. My boat just doesn't have the fuel range to run that far and it's a tad small for wide open water. I'm working on changing that situation. I've read articles about going after these guys, but your video takes it to a whole 'nother level. I had been under the impression that one would move at or near idle speed while perusing the crab trap floats, nice to learn that they don't really spook that easy and you can run at a decent speed to cover more water. Thanks for coming through again. Wil Schober
Run a slip cork so your bait can slip up to the cork. Throw past him reel the cork to his nose and stop it your bait will be right under the cork when you stop it and he noses up to it. Plus you can adjust your stopper to keep your bait up next to the cork. Setup stopper, cork, 1/4oz weight unless ur bait is weighted, bait of choice.
Another great fishing video. The commentary makes the trip fun to view, and your experience makes the ride-along even more productive. I enjoyed watching this. Now I'm heading over to LaFB Elite for the inside teaching moments.
Thank you, I really appreciate that! Right now I am overhauling my Inshore Fishing 101 course and that takes priority for now. But, once I am done, I will be back to making YT content more regularly. Thank you so much!
I enjoyed this video, mainly because I've had the same frustrations trying to catch Triple Tail. I had a throw back come to the bouy with my hands in the water as I was trying to untangle my line from the bouy. They can be super dumb sometimes. I too use artifical lures to catch them but nothing and I mean nothing will out perform a live shrimp under a cork.
Another great video Devin! 5 more minutes. ok, 3 more minutes ....;-) LOL! I do the same dam thing! Funny as heck! Love the drone footage. Who the heck is flying it? ;-)
Are they good to eat? I’ve never heard of anyone where I’m from targeting them or catching them. I’m from perdido key we chase kings cobia grouper and snapper. And do a lot pompano fishing. I moved to my get away house in bay saint Louis this march. I’m only missing pompano fishing do y’all have a pomp bite out at the islands?
What salinity do you normally find these in? I’ve never heard of people catching them around Atchafalaya or Cote Blanche bay so I am thinking our salinity isn’t high enough for them.
The one thing I know about tripletail fishing is you Do Not set the hook so hard. Use a circle hook and just let them take it in, then lean back and start reeling, boom, fish on.
What would be the outcome if you were to slip and let's say, bang the back of your head on the deck and fell in to the water ? Face down ? Wear a lifejacket please. Think of your family if nothing else.

His footage and recording style is one of the best no doubt.
I'm glad you think so. It'd be great if UA-cam served this up to more people. Watching the video to completion and hitting that LIKE button sure does help out.

@@LAFishBlog see the problem with UA-cam is the stupid click bait bs videos are the ones that get big. But those videos suck. I don’t get it.

Your Cinematic skills are increasing by the video. Cudos my friend. Another well made and planned video.
Daaaammm! Didn’t know you caught anything else but speckled trout!
Great video. I loved the drone shots on the tripletail chasing and eating. Hard work pays off.

Awesome video. When you saw the fish, your video picked it up as well, really cool to watch!
That was the idea :) Thanks for watching

Do you tag them? I haven’t seen you tag any. You should if you are releasing that many. I tag them all summer it’s fun.
Sir, did you go away for good?
Great video
You’re a beast
Appreciate it!
Caught a juvenile triple tail in a landing net once, it was school bus yellow. Very odd looking.
all the juveniles will be golden to yellow in color. They get darker as they get bigger.
Bet you couldve scooped that one by the boat up lol
When you gonna start slamming them fall Trout?
Production value has gone way up with the drone footage. Nice job.
Go pro 360 camera
They look like Oscar’s 😂
No way this is really missippi 😅😊
