You know there's market for banana leaves. Here in Brisbane area Banana leaves are in demand in Asian community specially in Christmas season. Sometimes, we even stored banana leaves in the freezer to keep it so that we have something we can use for special occasions like birthday party. I wish you live closer to me I will be happy to buy banana leaves regularly for Filipino cooking, we use it for wrapping fish and some desserts. Also, the banana heart or banana blossoms we use that for cooking some local Filipino dishes. Just wondering if you every try to plan Turmeric plants in between your bananas. There's growing market for turmeric too now a days.
Hi Farmer Jones, I’m really learning a lot from your videos and getting inspired about the systems you’re demonstrating. I’m in Brisbane and currently on the hunt for a small block of land to move to and start some of this work. Thanks so much for your great explanations.
In a video about agroforestry in Nigeria I saw someone explain how to cut a thinner banana stem. He cut it in the middle vertically and then chopped smaller bits horizontal. I guess you can find it when you type in agroforestry Nigeria.
G'day Mate, just found your channel. Good to see some Aussie representation in Syntropic Agroforestry, keep it up! I must add though, why the two channels?

Almost more excitement about the banana biomass than the fruit: brilliant. Just as it should be.

Do you provide the bananas lots of water. Or just natural rainfall.

Nice info on bananas but how is is syntropic if you only have bananas ?
I you notice between the bananas are citrus, papaw, eucalypts, Some jack fruits. The bananas are 4m apart but there is allot going on in between them.
