I love how the backyard is so obviously a sound stage, they don't even try to hide it, and with the tone of the movie it just absolutely works.
totally!
It was all meant to be over the top and dreamlike
I felt it was intentional.
My headcanon is that in the movie's world it was a trend to install a fake sky in your backyard.
The cat is like, "Hey don't bring me into this."
More like "Uhhh, why'd you cut to me? What the Hell am I supposed to do?"
Now guys lets think about it. In our world domesticated cats may be all cute and cuddly (mine sure are) but a cat with the abilities of this movie's monster would be a nightmare. They would subject US into cute and cuddly creatures.
@@MsDjessa LOL um we are their pets, and have been for thousands of years. Remember one of earliest finds of a domestic cat is buried with a human sacrifice.
I cannot get that Terrorvision theme song out of my head! 😂
It's a banger! :D
I love the _The Return Of The Living Dead_ main theme music. It's fantastic!
But the _Terrorvision_ theme song is right up there too!
I remember when this came out. A local television station here in Detroit made a big deal about it and did a whole event around their broadcast . It was in 3D , and they sent out 3D glasses to anyone who called and asked for them . Of course ,my parents wouldn't let me stay up to watch it.
Movies like this contribute to this bizarre amalgamation of styles in my subconscious. I barely remember the movies themselves, just the feelings they gave me.
"Yes, thank you grandpa. That's what I was getting at."

I'm so glad I found your channel hiding in recommended. You're nailing all the movies I nailed as a kid. I fucking love it.
this was a childhood favorite of mine. I first saw it by staying up way past my bedtime watching those late-night horror shows hosted by a campy dork. I became obsessed with finding the movie again after the fact.
This is literally one of the best films I’ve ever seen. Watching your review afterwards.
The overall monster design, debaucherous sideplot, and the gore scenes around 10:30 and 11:50
Seriously convince me this was at least partial inspiration for Brian Yuzna's "Society".
I liked the silly camper cheesiness of the movie, but I didn't like how it had the ending where everyone died. Oh well. And is that your cat, Brandon? Awww! It's so cute and fluffy!!
well your opinion is respectable. Personally I think he is quite funny. But why the caps?
Understandable about the ending, but I think the conventions of the genre demanded it.
They Made The Bad Ending On Purpose. All The Characters Were Written To Be Terrible People So They Wrote For Them To Be Killed Off
& According To The Director Their Was A Plan For a Good Ending But He Thought That Would Be a Cop Out Cause Everyone is Supposed To Die.
TV party tonight! Easily one of my favorite flicks ever. I love how self aware it is
I saw this movie a few years ago. The monster looked terrifying but fake but I enjoyed the cheesiness and how it did not take itself seriously.
Killer Ant it's so funny in that Kamy kind of way
When I was a kid, I was watching the Sci-Fi channel (long before it became "Syfy") when it was showing Godzilla vs. Hedorah and Godzilla vs. Mecha-Godzilla back-to-back during something called "Tokyo Under Siege Week". During the commercial breaks, they showed a few announcements about Terror Vision, but I never got around to checking it out.
Tyrant Gregcag at least..
Remember seeing this on Sci-Fi channel YEARS ago, back when Sci-Fi Channel made sense!
I do get all my entertainment from the internet.
This show, for example, is a thousand times more entertaining than anything on network TV.
Outstanding work as always.
This is a guilty pleasure of mine. They knew what they were doing when they were making it and just ran with it. It's comically bad and does it so well.
Yeah very much in the "fun bad" category. It has a lot of things that are just thrown together, and don't really make sense. Like why would the alien waste disposal guy come to Earth in person? How does he even know how to contact people on Earth at all? Brandon hit the nail on the head with the TV host lady. Why would she even come around like that? It has big chunks of implied back story it doesn't show... because the scale of world building needed is impossible in a movie like this.
@@marhawkman303 Charles had movies like this in 80s and 90s, sure they were low budget, most aren't even good movies, but they were always in good fun. You'll never see movie from his studio that has that mean ugly attitude most of the horror movies in last 20 or so years have.
one thing I love about this channel. Brandon reviews movies I used to watch as kid that I've forgotten about. This movie being one of em.
I remember seeing this when I was about 5 years old. To this day I remember it as the most scary movie I ever saw. Little me had this idea from the movie, that if you evey looked away from your tv, the monster would come out and get you, so I stopped watching tv for a long while.
I don't care if this video is 4 years old, I've got to let it be known that the adorable ball of fantastic feline fluff at 16:04 is the cutest little darling baby-cat I ever did see, oh yes, the cutest little kitty EVER. Please give that gorgeous sweet little meow maker a bunch of extra cuddles and treats for me!😻💕
@Random Platypus with Internet Not only do you have internet, you have the wisdom of the ages, O sage and Random Platypus! So glad you agree that the kitty in question deserves all the love and treats and snuggles. I’m just surprised I was online to catch your reply so quickly! Thanks so much for using your internet connection to chime in on this very important cat. You are the best platypus I’ve ever met!😸
Hey Brandon, that dude is wearing a WASP shirt, WASP did a song for the soundtrack (scream until you like it) of the movie Ghoulies II also a movie of Albert Band, just thought I'd share this. As a Metal fan I am safe from monsters
16:02 Awwww Its so fluffy X3
Dammit, Brandon! You had a bathroom scene with Gerrit Graham being saucy, and you didn't even use the plunger to the face from Phantom of the Paradise! >.< Still, good review - made ME laugh!
Sherman getting shoved into Grampa's basement: "All I wanted was a Pepsi!"
I seen this when I was 7. Was terrified, as I was watching it on my grandma's satellite dish at midnight.
Am I the only one who looked at 19:16 and saw Rick and Morty sitting on the couch watching inter-dimentional TV? I mean, really!! LOOK AT IT!!
This movie fucked me up as a child. I still have memories of the alien impersonating the grandfather.
7:00 nooooo, Picasso did NOT go through a bondage period. That is clearly a work from Matisse's Marquis de Sade series.
I’m at work and I keep watching these reviews! This is awesome
This episode made me seek out and buy this movie. Absolutely loved it! Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
I watched this for the first time last night, perfect ‘80s cheese. Great review!
This really looks like a Troma film and that's a good thing. Going to have to find a copy of this.
Breanainn Weber scream factory released this on Blu-ray
You can find on UA-cam ;)
The more you teach me about Charles Band, the more I kinda fall for the dude. Where would schlock be without him?
This is one of the funniest reviews from 2017.Good times!
The sister with the Cyndi Lauper vibe stole my heart when I saw this flick!
Cutting away to his cat? He really is the Cinema Snob
Brooke Brewer well he did review several movies which are basically porn
Better and younger version.
+Nickolay Semenov
*AGREE*
Ian Finlay so why are you here?
I like Brandon waaaay more than Brad. At least Brandon doesn't put every woman he's dating or currently married to in his videos.
The cat is precious ♥️
My local video store had a separate Full Moon section in the horror / sci-fi section. Always had a thing for Woronov.
🤣🤣🤣15:55 OMG the cat, I lol till I cried and died!
"hey, you hear about Pluton? that's messed up huh?" Gus to the world!
The Cramps reference! My favorite band of all time.
Holy shit! I've been looking for this movie for almost 30 years. I saw it when I was 12 and the last scene where the monster sucked everyone in scared the shit out of me. Finally being able to watch it again solves a stupid mystery that's been bothering me most of my life. Thanks Brandon!
That Rainbow Dash pic is like the most hilarious thing I've ever seen
BUENO!!!
We sci-fi/horror fans applaud you for your Mr. Lobo plug!!!👍👌👻
I remember catching this on TCM one night. Weird but fun movie
I've always loved cheesy/b horror movies and I was obsessed with this one. I love your reviews too, you are hilarious. Keep up the good work my dude.🤗
I am 15 and only started to get into these sorts of movies in the past few years, and makes the extinction of video stores very sad.
I'm 45 and remember watching this when I was a kid
Love the subplot of 80s genetically-engineered doubling/hybridizing! It'll make a great way to segue into reviewing Godzilla VS Biollante! (Please, please, please let that be soon...)
The most replayed part of this video is the shot of Medusa’s rack lmao 😂
I remember seeing this on VHS. It looks like a live-action comic book.
One of my top 5 fav films!!!!!!
You said “Odie”. His name is O.D. As in OVER DOSE! I wish we could leave that in the 80s
This was great, funny you didn't mention that the alien was voiced by Frank Welker. Keep up the good work Brandon.
You mean Frank Welker. The actor that is best known for doing many cartoon character voices for 50 years. His most famous is Freddy from Scooby-Doo and the Original Megatron.
Is your profile pic the tar man from night of the living Dead? Please tell me it is..
@@pl180000 Damn Typo.😓
But you're right.
@@countryboyblue21 yes sir.
The 80s were fun back then Yes monster guy reminds me of a chaos spawn from warhammer
I really liked this movie. My Dad and I regularly watched bad movies we rented from an independent video store that had other sections but an unusually large and weird horror section in comparison. Full Moon movies practically ruled our house. We liked good horror but bad horror just as much. I was 6 years old when I saw this, Return of the living Dead, an John Carpenters The Thing. My family didnt believe in censorship.
Your chonky cat is great, best thing is ever, needs to be in more videos!!
“Pluton is not considered a planet anymore”
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO REMIND ME AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Just do what I do and make it head-canon that it's still a planet.
I'm all for you reviewing Death Race 2000 and Phantom of the Paradise. Speaking of Death Race, there is a good remake/sequel to it called Death Race 2050. I'm pretty sure its still on Netflix.
18:20 looks like Kanashiipanda's artwork. You gained more of my respect for making those MLP jokes because those were legitimately funny. XD And this is coming from a brony here. lol
Your homework assignment: seek out the entire discography of the Fibonaccis. I think the theme to this film wasn't commercially released until their CD anthology.
All of the Fibonaccis' albums? That's one hell of a sequential series. It can seem like you're forever spiralling inwards to find that elusive final recording.
Man that reminds me I gotta watch Slither. Haven't seen that movie in FOREVER and I'm hoping you'll do a review on it one day.
Great review as always and cute kitty too!
16:02
Omg that kitty is so freaking cute kitty😻
This is one fluffy cat
_If that even is a cat!_
yay! I have been waiting for this one!
You also gotta do "Chopping Mall!"
5:27 Good reference if I do say so myself.
Ohhhhhhhhh..... Ahhhhhhh.... so cool. 😜
I wonder what rule 34 in the 80's would look like?
geardog24 what any of cinema snob review of porns parody
I wonder if there's rule 34 of that decade as a whole
drake olajdz it's called ready player one
Zines, man. Back in the day we had to print, publish, and pass around our weird crap. Take Robert Crumb as a popular example.
geardog24 the answer is awesome. . .
Rotten Tomatoes can suck one. Good review.
1:34 Ok I have to ask why? why did we get rid of having kick ass theme songs for our horror-comedies. ghostbusters, terror vision, killer klowns why did we stop doing it they were awesome
Even with the Jem-hairdue, Diane Franklin was still beautiful!
Diane is a cutie pie.. Gries is also King Vidiot in Joysticks. Pretty much the same as O.D., but with a more punk look.
12:14 i dunno what it is, but that reaction cracks me up, it might be because the movements are probably the same way id react
Aw fuck yeah! A Charles Band movie! You know you’re in for some high quality low quality movies!
Brandon, when you used the line ". . . still totally worth it," were you channeling Tali from Mass Effect 2?
Today is my 16th birthday, and the first present I get is a new video from you!
happy birthday kid, maybe you get your pubes any day now!.
happy birthday
grow the hell up already, will ya kid.
Mr. D fuck off no one cares
I remember watching this in 6th grade at my friend's house. My friends dad got up and turned it off after what the lady said towards the kid. I watched this years later and soon was shocked...
After Brandon reviewed Transformers (1986), I kinda want him to review the "Beast Wars 2nd: Lio Convoy in Great Danger" special.
Awww, fluffy kitty!
My favorite Full Moon movie is Bad Channels similar to this but a radio station and played more straight. Got to see this
I'm starting to think that Brandon looks up rule 34 on a daily basis...
So he's a man of culture then
And judging by 18:19, he has good taste in it
Yeah at least in rule 34 they give you all your wild fetish's fantasy
Everytime I watch this channel It reminds me of good bad flicks!
Great channel!!!
Hey, DeckerShado is supposed to review Charles Band! I mean, if you're gonna go this route, you may as well review Doll Graveyard.
The Cramps meet The B-52's.....what a PERFECT description!
LOL
Carl Thibault was the wolfman from monster squad, Jon Gries was the wolfman from Fright Night 2. Met the dude a few months back, super nice guy and my favorite wolfman.
I wouldn't play with grandpa like that, his gun is probably loaded...
Facts.
The sad part is I know what artist drew that MLP r34 picture you used at the end of the video.
Makes you wonder how long he looked at rule 34 pony sex
shame....
He should of.at least credited the artist in the credits.
Tell jes the Renior of today....
If a movie has 0% on Rotten Tomatoes it just means that no one has bothered to give it an actual rating yet.
I love this movie! It's the like the 80's equivalent to 'Rick and Morty.' Fun, fucked up, sci-if zaniness. And the kids barely care that their parents are dead, it's bananas.
"Morty! Morty! R-r-remember what I *UUURP!* what I told you about- about explosives, Morty?"
JQXJQ It mostly seems like the rocky horror picture combined with the blob except not serious but campy, cheesy and funny including a parody of Elvira with the babe Medusa.
Similar to Killer Klowns from outer space, critters, or attack of the killer tomatoes it isn't meant to be serious and has fun with a unscary monster that can break through walls Kool Aid Man style.
Guessing this is one channel on Interdimensional Cable that could be watched, but there's a new episode of Ball Fondlers on right now, so gonna watch that instead.
The Thompson smg always had the bolt in the forward position. It was not cocked so never could have fired.Sorry just bugged me
Hey Brandon! I have an important question... will you review
Godzilla's revenge, at 1 million subscribers?
11:59 It is a monster. The Beast with Four Backs!
Terrorvision is awesome! Loved it as a kid and love it still now. And it has one of the best theme songs in a movie.
I saw this when it first came out. Had it in vhs but never found it on dvd. I love this movie
I hope you mention the awesome end credit music.
All the people commenting on how cute the cat is, yes it is adorable. But have you all forgotten cats are one of natures perfect killing machines?
No house cat's are not killing machines big cat's are
the "thing" use to beam the monster to earth is a star trek enterprise with the saucer reverse crocked and something like that !
Say, Brandon, I notice the only times you've brought up My Little Pony are to talk about Rule 34, and now you've actually deigned to show some to the rest of us (without us asking, I'm sure).
Is there something you're not telling us (or, even better, yourself)? :p
I'm a 90s kid so I saw this very late at night on TBS or sci-fi channel. I don't remember. All I remember was how uncomfortable it made feel with the swingers. Plus the horror
I just watched this again a few months ago....well done, dude
Hey, when ARE you gonna do Phantom of the Paradise?
