    I see this video as what a home provider can prepare for her clients while she attends to other duties. Great idea. Thank you

    Reading the comments was hilarious. I wouldn’t watch you again to Lear how to fix a meal but I might just to read the comments. First laughs I’ve had today. Thanks Lady.

    This was very exciting to see. My mother is 99 and is a real foodie. I can't wait to make this meal for her! 🤗

    Could have cooked brown rice or quinoa in the bottom with the water or a vegetable broth to make a nice addition to this meal.

    Eat one bite of that Salmon and you'll be up the hospital and letting them steal your benefits.

    Most seniors live off a fixed income now and cannot afford organic anything nor can they afford to run out and buy another kitchen appliance. I noticed the high-priced salmon. I worked as a home health nurse and can say that all of my clients did well buying the cheapest canned goods and cuts of meats they could afford. It is now 2024 and I'm retired and on a fixed income and cannot afford anything on that table. What you have there is for the seniors that are well off and not for the majority of older ones. I know you are doing your job and mean well and I realize this video was made 10 years ago. Please, if another video is made, gear it towards the lower income seniors. Thank you.

    Do you realize how much work it is to cook at home or how boring. Best way is a buffett restaurant. I don't want to spend my time and days just staying inside just to eat

    This looks bland and tasteless. It’s also cumbersome for someone having difficulty lifting pressing and remembering. No thank you.

      Frozen vegetables are actually fresher than most fresh. Unless you have a farmers market most foods in stores are not fresh!

    Instead of watching a video on how I can help my elderly mother eat healthy food that she would willingly ingest, I'm seeing an infomercial to sell a steamer. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

      She is showing an easy, one pot we to make a meal, that requires just a little prep and barely any clean up....and how would you suggest how to teach someone how to cook a meal in a rice cooker without showing it?

    Firstly, cut on a cutting board. Second, don't tell me to be careful with a knife. I didn't live this long by being an idiot. Stopped watching at 2:19

    • @manichairdo6346
      @manichairdo6346 6 років тому +5

      Not everyone has agility in their hands due to arthritis etc. People have to relearn how to use a knife or even buy implements that cut and slice vegetables. Or folk may have visual issues. Not to mention elderly men who are unfamiliar with preparation and cooking if their wife died. No-one is implying you're an idiot but you're certainly narrow-minded.

    I must say, that I am not trying to be rude nor disrespectful, but with all due respect, hospital food takes first place with your recipe. You are clearly living in the age of the dinosaurs. Senior individuals have a more elaborate sense of taste 👅 and appreciation of cuisine and culinary skills, that exceed the bland undercooked and lack of imagination that you demonstrated. You presented yourself as condescending, as if you were addressing convalescent seniors instead of alert and oriented healthy ADULTS that are looking to down size their style of meal preparation for themselves after having provided unconditional meals for many people throughout their lives. Get your head out of the past, and stop to smell the roses 🌹, look 👀 around you and welcome to the present. Mean while I hope that you didn’t feed that shit to anyone other than yourself. I am reasonably sure that you have read the comments regarding this pathetic attempt of meal preparation indeed.
