The green truck used during the statement “since 1930” is actually a Ford Model A.
Lol, you're very right! That's what happens when you've been up for two days straight working on stuff. Anyways, Chevy trucks do date back to the early 30's also, which was the point I was trying to make.
It’s all good! I figured that’s what you were going for.
To be honest, it’s only the second “error” I’ve found in all the videos I’ve watched of yours, so I think you are doing a fantastic job!
@@monstertrucker35 Lol, thanks. I often get stay awake and working for more hours than any human should, lol.
HA HA!man I'm so glad I don't make missteaks!
Honestly tho I can't tell them old cars and trucks apart.Great vid!
Perfect vehicle for taking your kids to school in Chicago.
Yikes 😬
Don't forget Detroit!
@@ohnoohyeah3205 Not enough Armor for Detroit!
Nah, a Suburban version of it would be perfect for the task
@MrOiram46 Over 10 year's ago I read an article in Car & Driver or Road & Track. It was a Chevy Suburban made for motorcade duty that was armored. The roof slid back and and elevated a gunner that had a M134 mini gun on a stand. If you look on the internet you could find the story.
I always felt Tango & Cash was criminally underrated and that truck had always been one of my favorite movie trucks! Wore out the VHS I had playing the truck scene over and over and over. Thank you for covering this movie!
Most welcome and indeed a great film and truck 😉👍
i saw a few comments down you said you had a cold for this one. thought something was up. hope you get to feeling better soon my friend. great video as always.
Thanks much and yeah I should be good by next video time anyways 😉👍
Correction: The 88 to 91 1-ton trucks also had independent suspension on the four-wheel-drive. The crew, cab, suburban, and K5 blazer all kept the square body style until 91. Those were the only ones that kept a solid front axle.
Read a few articles mentioning the 1-tons keep the solid axle front end, but guess they could have been wrong. I haven't ever inspected one myself, but ok.
@@CarStarz42 common misconception. The single cab and extended cab got the ifs in 88
@@demented_cycles Ah, ok. Thanks 😉👍
I will also add! That mini gun is exactly why! I would use it as a daily driver! Even as a prop, great video man!
Lol! 😉👍
1. It's illegal
2. it can harm people or other vehicles etc even if it's not an actual weapon it can easily become one as an blunt force impact one
So if you have money to waste and you want to end up in prison so as your vehicle impounded and crushed then enjoy ...
Fantastic video about a very cool 80s action flick and great history lession on Chevy trucks. Thanks much, brother! 👍
Thanks and glad you enjoyed it 😉👍
The BTTF Delorean engine sound effects of the Silverado always hyped me when seeing the film !
Lol, yeah there were some pretty similar sound bytes there for sure 😉
@@CarStarz42 Not to mention the dashboard wiring has the same work fashion !
Great channel, excellent work,
Appreciate the efforts you go to find out the information on these vehicles,
Keep it up my friend, I’m really enjoying it 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks and glad to hear that 😉👍
What an excellent movie! Tangos Rambo pun absolutely killed me! I do love the old Chevy's! But I don't want a new one! Like many other car manufacturers, quality is crap!
Yeah, lots of great funny lines in the movie. So just funny because they are so bad of one liners, lol!
Yes!!!! It's finally here! I'm so excited. Thank you for covering it, such a great channel.
Very glad to hear that you enjoy the channel and got a video you wanted. Thanks 😉👍
Another awesome video, my friend. I wouldn't mind having that in my driveway! 💪
Thanks and indeed 😉👍
Love the video, but I will admit that the lone stunt vehicle still looks great and it still runs, good to go and great job with this one.
Thanks and indeed 😉👍
I dont know what you did before UA-cam, but here you are making one great video after another!
Lol, thanks and glad you are enjoying the channel 😉👍
Looked like a Chevy Lumina APV mini van mated with a Silverado pickup truck. The Dustbuster of death lol
Lol!
Once again you've covered a vehicle I had (somehow) forgotten about. Great movie and great coverage of the details. Thank you as always ~ Chuck
Glad to hear that and glad you enjoyed it 😉👍
There is a 3D print file for this vehicle.
Made for both models & RC bodies for Traxxas
I did come across that too, pretty cool 😉👍
One of my all-time favorite movie vehicles!
Yep, pretty badass truck for sure 😉👍
Yes!! I've been waiting for this one
Glad to hear that 😉👍
Great video! I loved this truck when I saw the movie as a kid
Indeed a badass truck that fascinated folks of all ages 😉👍
454ci with 230 HP. The old days.
I have a 1994 K2500 Silverado with the same 454 and the ports in the heads are almost half the size of a 70's 454 I have. It did get 14 mpg before a lift and 35" tires that dropped it to 10 mpg.
Lol, indeed, but of course "the older days" than that saw plenty of high power V8s. At least high power vehicles are back these days and even crazier than ever 😉👍
Always thought that it was a Blazer/Tahoe based movie vehicle. Learn new things everyday thank for the info.
Yeah, most folks did 😉
Thank you for the content. I love both channels ❤
Glad to hear that friend, I do my best 😉👍
🛻 Thank you again! 👏🏻💯💪🏻
You're very welcome 😉👍
If I'm not mistaken there was a famous monster truck in the Tango & CASH .l do the was Blue Thunder or a newer Bigfoot Monster truck.
It was a Bigfoot, he talks about in his 87 Ford monster truck video from the movie Roadhouse video.
Edit: #8 was the truck without a body and was new at time. #7 was in the background a few times
@@Glowingtomato very cool and thanks for the reminder.
Yep, what Glowingtomato said 😉...
Far out facts. Thanks for sharing
You're welcome and glad you enjoyed it 😉👍
"Good Cop/Bad Cop." I remember seeing this movie. I did not remember, until you gave it's year, that I was 19 years old when I saw this movie. I remember Stallone and Russell using the term "Good Cop/Bad Cop." Then, in the years that followed, I noticed everybody starting to say it.
Now I am 54 years old, and I feel like my Grandfather, as I seem to be the only person left on earth that knows where this phrase was first coined.
😉👍

“4 wheel steering” has been around since the 1980s in production cars such as the 1988 Prelude Si, 4WS. And the 1988 Mazda 626.
Wasn't a option on any US vehicles here until much later though friend.
@@CarStarz42sorry but that's not the case. There were several models of the aforementioned Honda prelude, Mazda 626,
In the mud 90s the Mitsubishi 3000 gt, it's been attempted, and properly executed multiple times by several different manufacturers.
Please let me know if I can assist you as a technical advisor...... seriously
As a mechanic for the last 25 years I have a wealth of knowledge I would absolutely be happy to share.
The Delica does so well offroad because it's on the Montero platform. Turbo-diesel or V6 options were available as well.
Cool, I know very little about those vans, but they do actually seem pretty cool from the videos I've seen on them at least 😉👍
There are a few of them for sale in British Columbia from dealerships that import vehicles from Japan. And I have seen a few here in Halifax Nova Scotia. They are cool. I would be tempted to get one one day.
Thank you!❤🏁
You're very welcome 😉👍
I believe that I have a correction on the 4 wheel steering. It was on the Denali trim in 1999. It had a weird bed side on only the 4 wheel steering. That looked like a flare side but on a standard bed that was wider than non Denali trim.
Well, that would still be more than a decade later than the '87 concept Blazer then, so not off by much 😉
Great vid again!!!
Thanks much 😉👍
Love at first sight with that truck since the very first time (of many many others) i watched the movie and still my heart skips a couple of beats when it ends crushed by those... things.
In italian Tango amd Cash call it "fuoristrada di classe infernale" (hell-class off-roader) and "violentissima opera d'arte" (super-violent masterpiece)! 😂
Thanks for another great video about a great 4-wheeled movie star! :D
Indeed and thanks! 😉👍
I forgot all about this vehicle. Thanks for posting
You're welcome 🙂👍
Thanks again for your time and looking good 👍👍👍👍👍😊
You're very welcome 😉👍
METALSTORM: THE DESTRUCTION OF JARED-SYN do this one!!!
All add it to my massive list of ones to look into. Thanks 😉👍
Cool video! I love seeing the old Motor Week footage. They did all of their slalom testing at 75/80 Dragway, which was where I did some drag racing in my youth.
Thanks and cool 😉👍
One of my favorite trucks!
😉👍
Great job I enjoyed that I was hoping you do one on this now I'm just waiting to see you do one on the highway to hell movie the hell cop police car and Charlies special Coup
Thanks, yep; that one is indeed already on my list as well 😉👍
@@CarStarz42 I enjoy all your video's and I wouldn't even thought this was a Chevy silverado I thought it was a custom van my mind is blown and I would love to own one of those Delica they actually look pretty cool
I've been waiting for this one

Ideas for future episodes.
1. The Dodge Vipers used in the TV Series called Viper.
2. The motorcycle from Streethawk.
3. The various vehicles used in the cheeze-fest known as MegaForce.
4. The black 1960's Thunderbird Convertible from the Highlander TV series.
5. The car from Black Moon Rising.
6. The "Landmaster" from Damnation Alley.
7. The car from the original version of Vanishing Point.
Yep, all of those are already on my list minus the motorcycles as I'm a 4-wheel only kind of guy. Thanks 😉👍
Also, already did the Vanishing Point Challenger early on in the channel here... ua-cam.com/video/aWl4AWJ9LHs/v-deo.html
I somewhat remember toy cars from way back in 90s (my neighbor kids had them) being made that resemble this movie car, made by MC Toys or something like that from Korea. It had the same wheel base and bottom as their line of Toyota Hilux toy cars. I also remember some weird Mad Max looking toy cars from the same era by the same company. However years later I came to know about plenty of Mad Max inspired movies and one of which is Death Race movies and come to think of it these toys might as well be based on those movies rather then Mad Max or Tango and Cash. But they can be good bases for modifications to represent cars for the latter.
Don't know if this helps anything but who ever is interested happy hunting. All I know is that these are super rare by now since I don't know many people who bought them. They either were hard to get here in Europe or expensive idk. Maybe there is more luck in Korea or Asian in general markets where they were originally produced.
Interesting 😉👍
Wow, I remember watching T & C back in the day and thought the RV from hell was so cool!
Indeed 😉👍
There is one movie I'd love to see a video on "rolling vengence " it had everything you could love in a 80's movie.
Yep, that one is indeed already on my list to look into. Thanks 😉👍

Would be cool if you did some extended videos covering movies like Cannonball!,Gumball Rally the Cannonball Run movies etc..movies with a plethora of cars in them. There were some pretty amazing cars especially in Cannonball! and Gumball Rally.

May be too much of a deep dive, but how about the Sting Ray from that 80's show, oh what was it's name? Oh yeah; "Sting Ray"!
Yeah, that one has been on my list for ages, but just haven't found enough info on it yet.
Hi again i sorry im late again also are you using a ai voice for your voice now or did u get more help for the channel?
He did confirm to me in his Bullitt Show and Tell Diecast video that he uses an AI voice for those display videos to save time, though the AI voice there doesn't seem to match the voice in this video. It just seems like the recording of this video was more monotone and lower pitched, as its not completely robotic like with the diecast channel.
Hi, nice to see you finally said some other than just "hi" for once, lol!
Lol, nope still just me only doing this channel, except with a bad cold today, which probably made it sound a bit different to you. If I had any kind of spare money these days, I probably would hire some help though so I could do more than just one video a week. Maybe some day hopefully.
@@CarStarz42 ahh I understand now thanks for the clarification and I'll try to say more than hi from now on I just suck at coming up with things to say
@@IeeIee778 Yep and no worries, 😉👍

Any plans on covering Pepe, the "li'l mule" from Romancing the Stone?
Well, I've attempted that one a few times now, but there's just so little info out there on the web, might have to make some calls and do some heavier work to get that one at some point. One badass Bronco though!
At 10:16 ............ was that ' The Car ' ??
Indeed, full video here... ua-cam.com/video/GC2nnrrtsL0/v-deo.html
'We have plan right? ahhh probably now as going into bad guy hq in heavily armor, rapid fire, full-size rv and one more thing to say is i really like your sister 😅" yeah that's last minute prep talk isn't good idea with our heros in today's video has us think we don't need plans when saving one of hero's sister anyway thanks for the video carstraz as this surprise for me with redoing comment on tango&cash truck but whatever have a nice day bye now.

Is there any way you can do an episode on the Goliath truck from the Knight Rider series?
I'll add it to the list to look into, thanks 😉👍
whats the bad news?
we are almost out of gas.
whats the good news?
we are almost out of gas.

you forgot a fact , this trucks did appear in THE FLASH (1990) the TV show episode FAST FORWARD , they appear as dystopian future cop cars
I didn't see anything on that when researching, but cool 😉👍
@@CarStarz42 check that episode yourself , heck you should watch the whole series it was really good speacilaly 2nd half, had Tim Burton visuals and production values very high
@@cartoonfan959 Cool and if I had any free time these days; I probably would. Thanks for letting us know 😉👍
Can you do one for Walt Longmire's Bronco?
I'll add it to my mega list to look into, Thanks 😉👍
And the Ferg’s blue Trans Am.
The facts behind the Bronco (or Broncos) would be interesting.
Can you do rubber ducks Mack truck from the movie convoy
That one is indeed already on my to do list. Thanks 😉👍
Mitsubishi delica isnt really a jacked up mini van.. its actually a shohun/pajero off roader with a mini van shell put on it.. proper tough, capable machine.
Yeah, found out more about that after making the video and that makes them even cooler 😉👍
The Silverado made an appearance in the 1990 TV series the Flash
Indeed 😉👍
Chevrolet could have commanded a segment of the minivan market with a durable, off road 4x4 rather than simply participated. I guess they sort of did something with the AWD Astro.
True, guess they must of felt it wasn't as a lucrative pursuit as other more desirable 4X4 they did make 😉
Fact 11, also couple of this rv's used in original Flash tv show as cop cars of the future, in first season, episode 15 fast forward
Yeah, a couple others mentioned that too, that's cool 😉👍
This car is available in gta 5 on the warstock website

☝️☝️☝️ One of this Trucks appears in the 90's The Flash Show; in the Episode where The Flash (John Wesley Shipp); accidentaly travel 10 years to the Future... Excelent Vídeo👏👏👏!!!
Thanks. Yeah, someone else mentioned that too; that's pretty cool 😉👍
I think the Flash TV show featured one of them as a cop/mercenary vehicle
Yeah, a few folks have mentioned that on here. Pretty cool 😉👍
Was is Fast Forward (episode 15)?
PLEASEEE DO UNCLE BUCKS 75 MERCURY!
Yep, it's been on the list since the beginning, just having a tough time finding enough info on it, but will try again. Thanks

0:53 the what?
A botched saying of trying to say "chassis" with a bad cold 😉
Is it me or am I re-seeing sone of these videos? I swear they were older on the channel than this.
Nope, first time I've touched on this truck, but you may be remembering the brief Tango and Cash clip in my video on the Roadhouse Bigfoot monster truck though 😉
So they tried uglying up the Blazer way back then. It’s a shame gm didn’t retro it like Ford did with the Bronco
Indeed and yeah, I was hoping for that too.
Gotta be real. Anything with the windshield that far forward sucks to drive.
Indeed 😉
Plenty of them if you google it
Plenty of what?

You sound different,got a cold?
Indeed, feeling better today though; should be back to sounding normal again soon 😉👍
I wish he would narrate on his model channel, he just uses ai voice which sucks.
I know, I know. I might be able to change something with that in the future, it's a time issue at present and the only way for the diecast channel to even exist with the time it saves and I have zero spare funds to hire anyone for that kind of thing right now. I did change to a better text to speech voice in more recent videos on the diecast channel videos however, so it sounds pretty decent now at least 😉
I own SEVEN Squarebody trucks and two newer rigs. One of trucks is worth close to 100,000 dollars. It’s a VERY RARE Stepside with the factory 400 and rare options. You can’t go wrong with the old Squarebody trucks.
Nice! 😉👍
Correct me if I’m wrong but the Japanese Were doing rearwheel systems in the 80s
Probably so, I was referring to the US market though 😉
