Why so many people can't get over this series? Friendship between two men or two women have been often dealt with. But...Merlin is different because the writers wanted it to be that way even if it was a family show. Nobody can't ignore the way they look at each other while the wife was not around or when they went hunting, battling and so on. It never bothered me that they were soulmates and lovers.
