I just adjusted my chain for the first time. Got all the tools you recommended and performed the tasks as you instructed. The ride feels SO much smoother. Thanks for taking the time to make this thorough video. I will save a lot of money in the future by not spending ridiculous amounts for a mechanic to do this easy task.

In my case, these plates at the end of the swing arm near the screws have some play so that they can be moved easily, everything is tightened, nothing happens? apart from that, I have a new Ninja from the showroom... the left side of the swingarm is set differently than the right one, the difference is maybe 3/4 mm of the swingarm - the motorcycle is and rides straight, the chain runs evenly on the sprockets, etc.
My ninja might be pretty sloppy chain but I just cleaned it it was dirty as hell and lubed it I’ll ride it today then try and look at getting it adjusted
You’ll need something to measure: I used digital calipers ( the drive chain slack should be in between 20 & 30 mm) a 17mm & a 24 mm socket for the axle nut, a 12mm & a 14mm box end wrench for the adjuster nut. You will also need a new cotter pin the same size as the old one and some pliers to remove it and replace it. I think this is everything but I mentioned everything on the video you could go back and watch it again it starts right before the 2:00 mark I hope this helps and have a great day

How do I know what size of cotter pin does fits my bike ?
So you just loosened the axle nut just a couple of turns right?
So where exactly are we measuring from?

Arnt you supposed to pull the chain down for it to reach the bottom and then push it up cuz I did it that way and I got it to 1.1 Inch

I have a 2020 650 and I hear this noise only when I’m accelerating. It’s kind of a “swishing-ticking” noise.. I’m guessing it’s the CCT as well?
Yeah I wonder if it was the chain or something else I think I still hear it from time to time
