I converted my 2010 LED's allong with the turn and brake lights using Sylvania Zevo's matching the colors. The front and rear turn signals look so much better and the colors are more vibrant. The taillights especially now glow a Ruby Red instead of the washed out almost pink color of regular bulbs. Instead of resistors I bypassed the LCM and installed a LED compatible flasher minimizing the chance of wiring issues down the road.
I added sound deadening and the closed cell foam to the trunk lid so I had to remove the paneling anyways. In short, I agree. It doesn't matter how softly you try to press or lift that tab on the bulb housing. It's going to break. There's enough of a firm hold that it shouldn't come out. Good video.
I have a 2000 Lincoln Town Car and I just bought the backup lights you suggested. Great job! Gracias! Also, can you tell why the clear glass or plastic on these Lincolns reverse lights turn yellow or brown and what is that hole on the top right-hand corner for.
Mmmm, Idk this might be a stupid question 🤔. But, why would you unplug the reverse light? I just twisted the whole thing on mine and, it came right out easily. The led lights I used where alla from Amazon 6000k and 1000 lumens. But man it's bright. Any suggestions on having the lincoln badge on the front and the badge on the truck to light up with a led?
I don't know man people make mistakes if you don't need to do it you don't need to do it I can't go back and remember or recall every single thing I did from a video that was a year ago or more
A lot of times he's connectors will get brittle so maybe part of the reason why I unplug it was to make sure that the connector still had good Integrity I'm not sure why people are being so critical all of the Channel all of a sudden like I'm doing something wrong every time I make a video I mean if that's the case then why are people here
I don't know how to get to Lincoln badge to light up to be honest with you would take some homemade custom modification of buying a few badges on Amazon and then having to use some kind of scrapbooking tool to cut that Lincoln emblems out and then make a cage for a light behind it
@@FordBossMe I'm sorry I didn't mean anything buy it. I just wondering because maybe I shouldn't of pulled mine out the way I did. Idk but merry Christmas. I enjoy all if your videos....
Hold up, u do not need to unplug the wire and break the clip. It takes a quarter turn to turn out the bulb assembly and expose the bulb. Stop and size er up. Just did mine in 5 minutes start to finish
I have no idea what the hell you're talking about and if you did yours in 5 minutes I'm not sure why you're commenting here it's almost like you're looking to correct somebody if you knew what you were doing and you didn't have a problem why are you on this video trying to correct me about something
There's a reason why I do what I do I'm not your general DIY guys do this as a profession so I want to check connectors I want to check for corrosion I want to check for integrity of plastic there's a number of things I want to do whike I'm here and I do that No disrespect but it's not cool to go to a professional Channel and try to correct them on something that they think is professionally needed especially when you don't ask reasons why and you just automatically start to correct don't do that it's not cool
@@FordBossMe Yeah, I know, hard to explain. The whole chrome bezel that holds the back up lights and the license plate. My chrome is starting to wrinkle up. I hope you understand what I’m talking about. Thanks
hi, i know i’m late to the party, but i also lost my code once and i found it on a little white sticker attached to the arm of the trunk supports. i’m not sure if it’s oem, but i would look around your trunk area first; then if no luck you’ll need some specific software to recover it or take off your drivers side door panel and it might hidden on there on a module. hope it helps
can you please add a link to where you purchased these replacement backup lamps?

very nice, I'll get there one day
How do you bypass the lcm
People will really see you when you reverse out of a parking spot at night or daytime. Excellent safety upgrade.
looking at them I had the white spots in my eyes lol

That's for a trunk key
And they turn yellow because of age and heat
I must have them for my Town car too.
Good deal those are the best bulbs, I have them for all my lights.
I'm gonna do mine, but with the bulbs that have 2 led lights per bulb, won't be super bright, but perfect.

IDK what they used for fasteners to secure that liner, but they are impossible to remove without breaking something🤣.
I knew right away months ago, nope I'm not doing that lol...

I need to do that. I put led’s in my reverse lights in 2012 and they are crappy.
Yeah the new LEDs did they come out with are very nice
You didn’t need to separate the connector.
Yeah you're right but I did
Is that factory exhaust that you got or did you modify it
took the factory mufflers off and welded in a 3ft section of 2.5inch pipes and dumped by back wheels
going with 40series Flowmaster next weekend
I want to do that also you should post a video on how it sounds

Could you tell me where I can see how to remove and replace the license plate bezel on the town car? Appreciate it.
So when you asked about the license plate bezel to me that means the license plate piece of plastic that goes around the outside of the plate
Or are you talkin about the area that the license plate lights sit in what are you trying to achieve?

Hello good morning, I lost the keyless entry code in my 2006 Lincoln town car, do you know how I can recover it?
you're going to have to have somebody go into your computer and get it, it's stored there under body and then keyless entry code
Thank you very much I really appreciate
I will try opening my glove box and letting it down as far as it can go it should be in the back of the glove box on the firewall
