Can you please cover technical settings like MAS and KVP. I realize all X-Ray machines are calibrated differently, but I was just wondering if you could dive a little deeper into your experiences with those technical aspects in your next video.
www.pinterest.com/pin/528821181226620506/ Found that chart to be pretty good. Can print it out and make adjustment per your machine. After awhile you will know it by heart. Pay attention and reference to the EI, S-number, DI numbers on the machine. Ask what is their ranges. Kinda give you an idea on how much mAs you need depending on pt habitus.
This is such a thoughtful idea! When I first started xray school and before clinical sites, I took a picture of one of our lab's tube, printed it out, and put it on a clipboard so I could "practice" what controls moved it which direction. Kinda silly but it helped me when it came to practicals!
First semester moving into second student here! Your videos are literally SO HELPFUL! Seriously, thank you! If you’re up for it... can you do a video running over the math/physics you use daily? There are so many topics to learn with these and I want to be able to focus on the concepts that I’m going to be using daily to fully master them 👌🏼 you’re so helpful so THANK YOU!!
I love your scrub cap! Thank you so much for this video. It’s really informative and taught me a lot & also a great refresher. There literally isn’t another video like this on UA-cam!! 🤩
Your videos have truly made me so prepared for radiography school haha my professors are always like “how do you know that already” my only response ever is “X-Ray, Ray” my entire class now watched your videos too! Thanks for being so informative!
@@lateralus2282 that's most likely because it's new to you. As you get further in the program those technical factors are contantly drilled in your head. So don't worry if you don't catch on right away
Hello Rey! Thank you for making videos like this. I'm a radtech instructor here in the Philippines, and I always encourage my students to watch your videos. They're really helpful. Thank you. More power!
hey there, newly graduated! currently studying for the ARRT! is there anyway you can make a video on study’s tips or what helped you personally on how you passed your test? ngl struggling into image production 😅 please and thank you!
Hey man if you have the time it would be awesome if you did a whole series on how to do all trauma positions and tips and trips on shooting geriatric patients that are weak standing up. Like tips on trips on how to get a weak patient on the table more easily or comfortably. Thanks!!
hey Rey, you inspire me so much. ive been putting college off for along time now but this January. im worried the program is going to be hard but im willing to put in the work! thanks for being great(:
Dude these videos are literally the best!! Even more so during this Covid stuff cause I’m half way through my program (starting clinicals a few months into 2021) and I’ve only been on campus once to go over this stuff in person.
Loving the special sound effects. And Jerry... yep. Keep up the good job guys! I started in a Trauma One Hospital this month. So everything you are posting is building confidence.
I'm an ART student from Philippines.. Sadly we never experienced going to the lab. Because we do not have face to face class because of the pandemic.. Thanks for your videos.
thanks for making this video. I'm probably going to watch all of your videos because I just got accepted into a rt program here in L.A. this was very helpful.
Awesome video bro, could you do a comparison video between a limited xray tech and a full xray tech? Like the differences between them as far as schooling and work? Thank you
Omg your video spoke to me! God must have told you I to create this for me to see. I really needed to see and hear that..! SO inspiring!!!! Thank you and god bless!
Thank you so much for your amazing videos. Very informative and great teach. Your kind words of encouragement are priceless and very timely for me personally, so thank you!
When you were in the program how did you go about studying positioning? My professors only show us the positions one time and then they test us the next lab day. So right now I’m struggling because we are not allowed extra lab time. Any advice you give is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I love your videos!! I am in sem2, about to go off to clinic and I need the motivation sometimes and these are all tips and tricks that I need to remember!! 🥺
Hey Rey. Where did you buy those sick bandanas from? Going to need one now that hairdressers aint going to be open for he next couple of weeks and I need something good and professional to hide that overgrowth/
Could you please go over patient transport? Like the different type of artifacts you may need to remove, what you can’t remove (leads and stuff like that) what to do when your pt has IV and oxygen, etc
I noticed you have tattoos, I have a sleeve on one arm and at the school I’m applying for the paperwork mentioned that tattoos are to be fully covered during entire course and clinicals. So we’re supposed to wear those arms sleeves, did you experience anything like this?
tony rivera once in the program. You’ll be able to get by the clinical rules of each center/hospital you go to. Which is usually allowed as long as they aren’t offensive (nudity/profanity/discriminatory). I have half sleeves on both and they didn’t mind them showing.
Hey once again great video and tips dude. Your explanation are always very helpful! Could you do a video on either rare views such as mandibles, OMs and skull etc or tips for theatres :)
Once you set everything up with the x-ray tube and table bucky (detent). Don't move the x-ray tube/bucky anymore. Just slide the table. During x-ray school, I saw a lot of my classmate make that mistake. After hearing 3 to 4 clicks on the table and x-ray tube, you know you doing too much. lol Dont be afraid to make mistake. Have fun and learn.
Hi does accidentally adjusting MaS higher can result into excessive and above suggested radiation exposure to the patient?is there a ceiling to avoid for such a thing to happen? Are the settings also recorded with every sessions?thanks
if it's done time and time again sure. But I wouldn't be concerned if it was just one exam. We as rad techs make sure we use the lowest dose possible on everything image. The settings, as you call them, can be recorded on some rooms.
Is there any way we can contact you? I just want to understand more about this program because I’m being pushed into a field that I do not enjoy and Radiologic technology sounds amazing to me
Bro I love your content and I’m really interested In this field but I have a question. I know In my area that rad tech jobs are low and most of them are prn. I would hate to work has prn when I won’t get hours any advice about that? lol
I am interested in Radiology Tech, can I do a quick information interview with you? about 10 mins, or we can just chat over email or whatever works for you. I am thinking to do this career. I just want to talk with someone to know what is like. Thank you.
bro please don't stop making videos related tk radiology. you're God-sent being for this and i really appreciate everything you're teaching us

Question: are there any machines you can’t physically operate with 1 arm?

I’ve noticed a lot more hospitals are updating policies to allow them. Varies by facility.

Hi, there bro, where did you go to school to become x-ray technical. I'm located in San Joee the Bay Area. ?
unfortunately I cannot say. But there are several in NorCal. Just make sure they are JRCERT certified
I appreciate this video
Career changing at 54 is it even worth it. Suggestions?
i want to be a X-ray tech but I don't handle gore or bone sticking out well
Thank you!
This is rad tech boot camp with a bit more flavor!
I appreciate that comment!
I’m still confused about the last thing that was demonstrated. I wish you could be my clinical instructor.
This may be a dumb question... but what exactly is a bucky...? Im so confused in my class
bucky is simply the grid or the contraption you put the IR in the table or wall
Very good
