Thank you for sharing your videos; yes, I was surprised and by the time I listened you saying that all tests came negative, I started considering that maybe the patient had inhaled asbestos. I love your good energy! Have a blessed day, Dr. Siobhan!
Was not surprised at all. Sometimes we tend to hide things from our doctor because we are embarrassed. I've learned being honest is the only way I'd get the correct and proper treatment I needed. Thank you Violin MD for your wonderful videos, It's truly inspiring. I'm currently a Certified caregiver, Certified Phlebotomist, Certified Nursing Assistant, and soon to be Licensed Practical Nurse student!🥰

She's definitely a great doctor. We need more intelligent, compassionate, and empathetic healthcare professionals like her in all kinds of fields globally. I would without a doubt absolutely be ecstatic to have her as my doctor.
hi siobhan i don’t know if you remember this, but around a month and a half ago, i commented on one of your community posts about a cello audition, i just found out this week that i made it into the Florida State Orchestra AND the Florida State Chorus!! you’ve inspired me so much to practice and improve!! 💛
I think your true heart and sincerity comes out when you mention the patient has been doing a lot of cocaine and you have no judgements about it. Also you pointing out it’s probably due to mental health stress or a situation because of the pandemic is very humanizing. Many would be negative and judgemental and I feel this is where you shine and this is a quality that will take you further than so many others. Keep being amazing! And thanks for the awesome videos, they are well loved :) 💜👍🏻
I love how she is suuuuuper excited about the newest member of the team. With such a stressful job, it must really help to have such a supportive and loving work family around you.
Part two in the series. Hey, you're human. Humans make mistakes. And you're working at hospitals in both Hamilton and Kitchener? What a commute. 6:19 - Blue backpack, BTW. 🔵
I know eh! I chuckled when she said she forgot to label/sign a specimen since I work in a pathology department and we deal with that from time to time, but when I saw the commute I was like "oh NOOOOO"
If you see at 4:20 it says the Juraviski Hospital, so it's the one up the hill, not too far from St.Joes. So she is still only working in Hamilton it seems.
Thanks for talking about the lab! I am a medical lab technologist in the US and it would be awesome if you shadowed the lab in one of your hospitals to show what we do (core lab, transfusion medicine, micro)! We're often overlooked since we don't leave the lab very often, but we play a vital role in patient care. Thanks for making great videos!
I’m an art student who is TERRIFIED of hospitals and needles but I literally cannot get enough of your videos! It’s so interesting and I learn new things each time! Thank you for your service on the front lines these past months and thank you for sharing your story!
My mum’s going through her own medical mystery at the moment! She has good days and bad days but we’re slowly getting to the bottom of it... I hope! Xx
In 2014 I started getting really sick. My brother had recently been killed so I was told multiple times that it must all be mental. I continued to decline. Finally I was so sick I was admitted to the ICU. First they though it was bone cancer then after a couple days it was figured out. I was in the hospital for two months being transferred to different hospitals for different surgeries. Doctors often brought in students on all different levels to teach them something about my very odd case. I was always happy to let them even though sometimes it got a little overwhelming. I figured that maybe that would avoid a misdiagnose for someone else. I still suffer with a lot of mysterious kind of stuff. There is a lot of doctors that would rather not get involved. I'm 26 now and suffer with more than i'd like to admit. I wish I would have come across a doctor like you that would have took a bit more time to try and figure out what was wrong with me so some of the damage I live with now would not have happened.
I just have to comment as someone who isn’t into anything medical, In fact I’m actually pretty petrified of the hospital! I’ve had experiences that have affected me. I feel like most drs I’ve encountered are not like you. They seem more cold. BUT I feel like your videos have helped a lot of my fears! I love hearing the other side and the calm demeanor your in while the patient may be so scared and a mess. This has helped me to change some of my own fears. Thank you! Also if you ever want to touch on anything like that from the patient side and the emotional things they are going through vs your side of getting them well I would love it!! Thank you so much! Wish you were my dr!!

I think it is really cool that you are specializing in Rheumatology. I have had Sjogren's syndrome since I was 5 years old (now 20). Hi Siobhan, I'm so excited to watch more medical videos of you and I also can learn about medical life from you Siobhan. My congratulations for having a new member for your Rheumatology Unit Siobhan. You are the best Rheumatologist Siobhan
These stories are like listening to stories from my mother. She is a nurse as well and also has to deal with covid cases. Its so bad here in california. These videos just help me better understand what my mother has to put up with and how her life is at work. These vids are the ones that inspire both me and my sis. Thank you so much as stay safe.
So interesting to find a rheumatologist with a UA-cam channel. I’ve spent the last 3 years battling the craziest auto immune disease that’s so far undiagnosable. Travelled to Mayo for a million tests with zero answers. One day on my death bed to back to living life. To do it all over and over again. Autoimmune disease is like a roller coaster that you can’t get off of. All that to say. I’ve seen the other side as a patient and admire the work that’s done by doctors like yourself. Rheumatology is fascinating.
This video was on my recommended page, I didn't realize you were in Hamilton until I saw the other girls Mcmaster sweater! As a fellow Mcmaster alumni I thought this was super cool! As an ultrasound tech myself I wish you luck in trying to master the modality, it's a tricky one and very user dependent.
Hi Siobhan, I really really love your videos. I don't think I've ever commented so far, but I love how informative they are. I am not in the medical field, but my aunt and uncle are (now retired), and my mom was the person in charge of the analysis lab of a large hospital here in Turin, Italy. I found your channel randomly through my home page in UA-cam, and from that moment I followed every single video. Lots of love from Italy! Stay safe!
hey I love your videos, and I want to work as a doctor in the US when I’m older too! i want to specialise in emergency med, and you are helping me learn a lot, thanks, Zoe 😄
I love your videos! I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis 5 years ago. I really wish there was more information out there for patients, family, and care givers. You making your videos is such a great way to inform all of us! It’d be cool to make a video every now and again highlighting different autoimmune diseases, like lupus, Myasthenia, Ms, and the countless other diseases. Bye for now! Much love to you! Kristin 💗💗💗
I went through my own medical mystery back in February. I was diagnosed with microscopic polyangiitis (my body attacks my small to medium blood vessels primary in my kidneys, lungs, and skin) . It’s always neat to see how these diseases are diagnosed!!
I admire you Dr.Siobhan..and I also appreciate your hardwork..its not easy to be a vloger and a doctor at the same time but yet you are doing it for us..I really hope that I'd become a great doctor like you.
I've been binged watching your videos, Dr. Siobhan. I'm learning more from you than all the years I spent in nursing school. If it's possible, could you focus more on ECG reading in your future video? Thanks! 😊

Stay safe!
Wow... How she makes us feel like her fellow colleagues 😍
hey I love your videos, and I want to work as a doctor in the US when I’m older too! i want to specialise in emergency med, and you are helping me learn a lot, thanks, Zoe 😄
That’s awesome Zoe! You’ll definitely reach that goal if you keep working on it! Can’t wait to see you as an emergency doctor one day 😄
This is awesome! ~ you make me want to be a doctor when I’m an adult!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets excited about new co-workers
Has it really been a year since you were matched?! Damn this year has been crazy
I cant believe i started watching you when you were still a 1st year medical resident. So proud to see your journey, i love it so much❤
I love your videos!
Omg thanks for this😍 love love your videos! I've honestly learnt so much from you!
Wow you are so full of energy and the way you explain the diseases, you are the best!
I admire you Dr.Siobhan..and I also appreciate your hardwork..its not easy to be a vloger and a doctor at the same time but yet you are doing it for us..I really hope that I'd become a great doctor like you.
Siobhan these videos are always so fantastic! Thank you so much for taking the time to make them!
I just want to say that you are amazing and I love watching your videos. I also love your kindness to your patients and your people you work with!
You're such a great Doctor! amazing attitude and positivity !
I've been binged watching your videos, Dr. Siobhan. I'm learning more from you than all the years I spent in nursing school. If it's possible, could you focus more on ECG reading in your future video? Thanks! 😊
