- This is basically the concert performance of Bongripper's 2nd Roadburn set where they perform the album 'Satan Worshipping Doom' in it's entirety. A huge and grand thank you to the talented takers of footage that literally made this; links to their sites filled with tonnes of fantastic footage of other acts/bands are below. With so much footage sorta just, there, I simply had to make up a loose video 'companion' piece for Roadburn's release that I'd instantly fell in love with.
You might miss a few seconds of feedback from the opening of 'Doom', so shed a tear and boo-hoo purists (that's the vid. that actually moved me to do this). Only reason I put this together over a leisurely course, is out of sheer love for the band and this fine live event. Doom onward, lights low, volume high...

This band is the one that really got me into metal.
The sound is spectacular. It has to one of the best I've come across on here. It's not often you can capture the true sound of one of these bands live but this is pretty damn close.
I first heard Bongripper when Live @ roadburn came up randomly on my spotify playlist. The best thing I have ever heard. Best live recording of all time and possibly greatest fucking recorded thing of all time
So heavy, Bongripper can reverse time.

Hi Jakob, rubyredriver used quite a bit of my footage for this. Nowadays i do sometimes use stabilizer software but bear in mind this is all just fan-filmed footage. Just a little camera, no tripods, often a packed venue and barely any editing. Not ideal, but not intended to be pro-shot. Just some snippets and memories of a great gig/festival. Combining it with the live recording would be nice but as rubeyredriver said, that would be up to RB. With copyright and all. Cheers.

The comment about adding live recording was just because I was under the impression that this had something to do with official RB :) And the video stabilizer comment was not intended to try and make this a pro-shot thing. I like the fan-perspective as well. It is just that the shaking introduced by zoom and people moving around can be quite distracting. Although one could argue that the real experience happens when you close your eyes anyway :)

Thanks for the Adobe tip, it's buried somewhere. Talk to Roadburn! Seriously, you'd think they would be sitting on a DV goldmine, what with already having TWO labels basically. Me, I just wanted to SEE it. I'm a bit old school (from the 'Cliff 'Em All' days of video), so I'm used to rawer, ha! I like seeing bands from the fan perspective, and the sounds too. Just a preference; that, and I used others' footage as is, so there wouldn't be qualms. Professionals, the challenge is put down ;)

Haha, close your eyes and turn up the volume to 11. :) Check my channel for hours of RB footage. Some vids are better than others but definitely a good taste of the Roadburn experience. :)

Amazing gig for sure. Might I humbly suggest however that you:
1) Combine the video with the live recording for improved sound quality
2) Look into the use of video stabilizer software. Using tools like Warp Stabilizer in Adobe Premiere would make it a less dizzying experience to watch this.
