Wow! Ok... First off thanks for the shout-out and you're right on the money with the value in a shop like yours on Etsy for the Ivy! Most importantly though, I cannot believe how many great finds you have here.. I would agree about the strawberry being newer maybe from the 70s-80s. I am pretty shocked that a sugar Bowl would sell for that much without the lid! Those conch shell lamps! Anyway, fantastic!
“I can by touching it” totally get it. Same way with me with silver and gold and hand blown glass. I’d love to see how you find and pair shades with your lamps. And also rewire, that scares me but also fascinates me
If I had seen those lamps anywhere I would have just labeled them "hideous" and moved on. But, once again, your passion and excitement for mid-century modern has won me over. Now I'll be looking for a set of my own! Thanks Jocelyn! You never fail to entertain 👍👍👏💜🖤
Ohhhh, I love the haul video. That lamp when you put the 2nd shade on, came to life, WOW. I have started looking at lamps again because you make it so fun. I have 2 vintage metal lamps with the fiberglass shades that I need to put on my etsy shop. Thank you for having such fun with these videos.
You are insane about your lamps, and lampshades. I love your energy to bounce through UT's issues. It seems your finds are so wonderful, it makes me want to go out junking again. My problem is l want to keep everything l buy, and my house is tiny. Keep on thrifting!!💓💜❤💛😂😇💙💙💓🤗🌹👯💚😍😽💘💟💝😺💞😽💗💚🤗😘🌹💓❤💙😇😂💙💕
Thrift a kid leather glove, cut a circle out of it and make a washer to cushion the bolt from the porcelain to prevent further damage. It’s how antique doll heads are cushioned from their bodies, your friend will know what I’m trying to convey. They are amazing lamps. Also, I have a Facebook friend who runs a mid century group and he makes reproduction custom fiberglass shades, pm me if you want his info.
My hubby wired a lantern and it hangs outside against a fake 'mine' door. Somehow that and another lamp flicker and looks really neat. We live in the high desert in a historic mining town, so it just blends in.
I have 6 of those electrified lanterns. I use them at Christmastime, I put them in wreaths on sleds. I use them with a Caroling set I have. I also use them at Summer time for accent lighting along my walk way. They have so many uses!!
I am from Southern California born & raised I see items Like these all the time t estate sales etc...Love retro and Mid century I also am a reseller, the shell lamps are cool Also close to the beach great metal dtecting!! Found good Stuff
My grandmother had a huge set of the Franciscan Ivy pattern. That is what we ate off of daily at her house! I adore it! Would love to find a bargain set!
You certainly made a great haul there girlfriend. Way to go! I am heading off soon, inspired by your hunting, to go back and see if a Victorian sewing machine is still in a shop I was at the other day. They wanted $95 for it and I wasn't sure I wanted to pay that much, but one just like it in worse condition just sold on ebay for $350, so I thought I'd better go back and check it out again. Besides I just keep thinking it might go really nice in my shop too and I'm hoping the thing is in working condition or worth fixing if it isn't. You are so funny and kind to show us your finds, it always puts a big smile on my face and makes my week. Have a wonderful day!
Good luck to you and Andrew "Yups" Yupperson on your new place. War the Crazy Lamp Lady channel that won't die and good job Yups finding that silver if you can't go find it in the ground you might as well go find it someplace else.
The jelly jar is vintage, go check out thrifting 101 Michelle, she just bought one also and tells the history of it. It’s a fired on milkglass and was a promotional piece for some cereal back in the 30’s I believe, they also made an apple and a pineapple.
So what did the silver candlestick cost, and how much will you ask for it? I’m curious where Drew found the sterling mark on it...it looked like the bottom was covered...
I want to make a pair of those lamps.i diy & thrift... obsessed with those. My goodwill charges 5$ for family dollar pic frames ABSOLUTELY ridiculous.last time I found something (burberry shirt )! great there the girl working told me she didnt have any change I went across the parking lot to get change and she told me someone bought it in those 5 mins.when it was behind counter under a sweater.earlier she had picked it out of my buggy and checked the sz!!!!!
One of my friends is crazy about lamps too. Myself I have bought many various lamps. I don't know if their worth anything or not. We both do have a fascination for lamps.
Hay what happend to the yardsticks table??? Looks like a great hall. Being new to thrift store/Goodwill shopping. Not pulling the trigger yet seeing some phenomenal things in my area. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and expertise. I am in SoCAL ground does not Freeze detecting is the next thing for this OLD GUY wants to try. Lots of beaches around. Most detectors water proof?
Found your other channel now I'm subbed to both ! I love antiquing but I can never remember Brands and what's a good deal and what's not I have the worst memory so if you have any tips on how to remember and keep track of that type of stuff let me know . thank you for the great content!
I saw those lamps and immediately hit subscribe. You have a great eye. Some wonderful finds!! The candlestick holders are screaming Dansk or the like to me too.
What a great idea for a video! Very nice finds! You want those two lamps to stay home, soooo bad! Hahaha! I'm depressed cause the pros beat me. Day after you first posted about the Thorpe glasses that you found in a store window, I found 8 10 oz for $3 at a yard sale. You two just scored that and a carrier for a buck more. I guess I should know better at my age. :) Hope you continue to do these wraps.
A great haul video about something I have never thought to look at - lamps :) I sell mainly clothes and odds and ends and have a very large collection of ceramics which I won't part with! It's great to see diversity in action and I hope to learn more from you. PS I'm one of those 'senior ladies' but I promise i wouldn't push you out of the way LOL (Be a bit difficult anyway, I don't live in the USA).
Super great haul! I luv your style! I just posted a short UA-cam clip sharing what I bought today @ Goodwill-one item being a LAMP! I love the lamps you scored! You got some amazing deals! So awesome! Thx for sharing.
I am catching up on your videos. You are awesome! You are always looking for something either in the ground or in a thrift shop (Lol) but wherever you are you make it look fun!! I love your enthusiasm. Take care. I also follow Drew on his channels. He finds great stuff, you have to admit. Lol
Watched you on tv but can never comment there for some reason....darn firestick. haha....We just love your enthusiasm and now you have me looking at things I would never have looked at while at the thrift stores and thinking...Jocelyn would buy that. I have to say, I am NOT into tattoos but, I am always curious as to what yours says on your forearm.
Jesus at your mark up! Wow!!!! I love lanterns. I have saw many old Dietz lanterns at flee markets. I have a few working on oil and I have a red globe on one. That alone makes a good Dietz lantern go for @$70 but in your store it would be $140. Lol 😆 cheers and good idea having a cross channel video link. Had fun watching you.
How do you decide what price to put on the items if you don’t know a lot about them? Also you stated you could get $200 for the lamps but they are priced at a lot more, Did you find out they are worth much more?? Thankyou love your videos
I doubt I will get the answer to this lol but what are some good books to start with when it comes to the history and markings etc of some of this stuff? I have already wrote down some brands to read up on but is there some books that like everyone should read when looking at antiques? Sorry if the question is stupid 😅
For marks on pottery and porcelain, you can check Miller's Pottery and Porcelain Guide. It is pocket or purse size and you can carry it with you. Ask your reference librarian to show you the section on antiques guides. I use more than 70 guides in my antiques shop and for my own collecting.
Ok-don’t yell at me from over there for asking .... would you be willing to break up that pair of lamps or are they litter mates and, hence, need to stay together forever?
Wow! Ok... First off thanks for the shout-out and you're right on the money with the value in a shop like yours on Etsy for the Ivy! That is a nice shout out. A course I knew exactly who she was talking about. : )
Your enthusiasm is GREAT. That's why I watch your channels. The search at thrift and second hand stores is always a blast for me as well.
“I can by touching it” totally get it. Same way with me with silver and gold and hand blown glass. I’d love to see how you find and pair shades with your lamps. And also rewire, that scares me but also fascinates me
Love that second shade! I wish you'd do some "how-to" vids, like rewiring a lamp etc!
Thanks for mentioning Real Nifty Vintage! I started watching and I’m hooked! Just absolutely love Jeffrey!
Hi, love your videos. I'd love to watch one about how to ship big lamps. Thanks!

Love the shell lamps. I would have snatched them up if I saw them as I collect shells. Good score!
The shell lamps are cool and yes I love the finial too. Crazy Lamp Lady hit it out of the park! Great haul!
We sure will make it thru! I love your videos. Thanks for sharing all the fun times.

The cabbage plates would make a great tid bit tray
I agree on the turquoise sugar bowl. It is one of my favorite colors. The Ivy bowl intrigued me also.
12:55 That is true excitement if I've ever seen it.
You are a ray of sunshine! Lida.
I needed the shade to understand the lamp. Yup. Fabulous.
I am from Southern California born & raised I see items

Yea those lamps look good with fiber glass shades...grear find Jocelyn
The 2nd shade was the cats meow for the finishing touch of the shell lamps
So what did the silver candlestick cost, and how much will you ask for it? I’m curious where Drew found the sterling mark on it...it looked like the bottom was covered...
Jocelyn!!! You did great!! You and your lamps 🤪💜💜💜
Great haul, no ad but I watched ads on the other channel. Those lamps are awesome! 🌿
I love the conch lamps. Those are amazing!
When you rewire the lantern adding an Edison style bulb would look really good.
"Not enough coffee"! No, too much foam.

Had fun watching you.
Yard sale and flea market withdrawal in mid-winter NewJersey. Binge watching Crazy Lamp Lady. You are too cute
Any woodworker could make a 2nd matching finial in like 10 minutes!
Strewth! Crazy is a good word for you. You may had had to much coffee me thinks LOL . Glad you don't drop things as often as you do metal detecting.
my very first comment, new to your channel, binge watching. you sold me on this one awesome lamps, you have very good vision and taste.
How do you decide what price to put on the items if you don’t know a lot about them? Also you stated you could get $200 for the lamps but they are priced at a lot more, Did you find out they are worth much more?? Thankyou love your videos
The shell lamps, they would look cool with fake orchids in them or real ones?
love the conch lamps love them
New subbie. I thought of Real Nifty Thrifty also when I saw the ivy dish.
I'm new to your channel, & love it. Like the lamps & your taste in shades.🤓🤓🤓
How did you learn all that information about old ceramics? I get lost looking at ceramics.
🌻Fiesta is my favorite

Couldn't you have someone make a matching finial for you?
Beautiful ❤️ haul
This is actually one of your better videos! I remember when you couldn't even talk in front of more than a couple people!!!
Love the popeye shirt
Nice haul
Do you just sell your finds on Etsy or do you use other avenues as well?
She does Ebay too.
You are the amazing one!!!!!!
