Hi ! I have question for you .... what will be major difference in overall value and quality when you compared 300bucks CS Trailmaster San Mai vs 700bucks Falckniven MB please? Is this Falckniven worth 400buck difference in price or not ?
Two significant differences are the durability & edge retention of the Cos steel. The Fallkniven Modern Bowie Cos steel is also easier to sharpen. But for the significant difference in prize only you can decide if thats worth the money. The Cold Steel in San Mai TrailMaster is a beautiful sturdy blade too. Even the 01 Tool Steel version is a great knife for the money.
I realy admire and love the Fallkniven MB package that comes with the case , also it's advantage when it comes to size and blade thickness in comparison to CS Trailmaster SanMai , however when it comes to performance i would guess both are similar class from data provided , both are laminated steels , convex edge ,very similar construction... Fallkniven of course is far more appealing, but sky high price is it's con ...imo
