@@unbiasOrbit I'm probably in the minority that don't mind the heavier headsets. Probably because of my bigger build, I'm not sure. But I do understand that Corsair's designs really are heavier than many in the market. I love them to bits but that weight is the most common detrator I hear from anything corsair offers. I'm debating if it's the battery or the metal frame though since they seem to often use aluminum parts in their construction. Razer often goes for lighter materials though and seem to have a good balance over all. If anything, my sole complaint with Razer is the leather ear cups. I have a rather acidic sweat so it degrades the leather in a matter of months and forces me to get new cups ever few months or so. Wish they had more microfiber offerings (which I think they do offer but not often enough) Edit: I hit the save button too early. Hahaha!
@@SparkRattle As someone who has owned the Corsair Virtuoso, I can confirm that the metal construction is the main reason why it's heavy. I like everything about the headset. I also agree with the leather earcups part. That's why I got the Razer Blackshark V2, because they don't use leather earcups. And I also like the more neutral sound of the headset, it doesn't sound too much like a gaming headset with over exaggerated bass. Been loving it ever since I bought it!

I cannot take Razer serious. The CEO trash talks his employees and their products are not built professionally to last. I stopped using their products, and recommending them, ten years ago.
@Daynew Dawn razer just gets a lot of flack because theyre on par with apple when it comes to marketing, price, eco system, etc. i have razer products and theyre just as good as anything else ive owned in terms of durability and "professionalism" for gaming. i have had 3 Logitech headsets, all giving issues. i also had their HERO mouse and that ended up getting the sticky mouse click. so yeah razer is fine and is just like everyone else, but better marketing. i bought the barracuda pro's and i cant wait.
im pretty sure razer understands that the people spending money on the premium headsets, normally not a razer but in this case it is, they buy the barracuda pro n use an xlr or usb mic separately for best audio quality across the board. dont buy a gaming headset to game, buy music equipment
I recently got the mid tier barracuda for 65 on amazon so a hell of a deal, my stealth 600 gen 2 are just complete trash on PC so these will be a step up. I like the no boom mic but for me its because of my kid. My kid has chewed on two of my mics before just trashing them lol one came back to life after drying out for a day or two but after hearing a few sound test and also being someone who hasn't had nor do I care too much about sounding the best I think they will be good. Im fortunate my type c ports are out of the way of any other ports as well. Love the aesthetic as I am moving back over to razer after being disappointed with logis software for mouse and headset.
Most sense with a gaming laptop. those things can get really loud. PC though most of the time shouldn't be problem even with the louder one and with an open back headphone
I personally am not fan of headset's telling you your mic is muted or whatever and have it manually disabled on my Corsair HS80 which is the best wireless gaming headset I personally have ever tried but luckily Corsair has a feature on most of their headsets including all of the wireless ones that do NOT have a removeable mic to just auto mute the mic when you lift up the mic out of the way and I always have my mic like that unless I want to use it it is just peace of mind knowing that my mic is muted without having voice prompts or having to look at at my screen or have to fumble around feeling the side of my headset because if I cannot see my mic down then it's muted
I want more headsets with a Retractable mic, this is why i never leave Steelseries. I keep the Mic barely protruding out so i never even know its there and no one has had any issues with my mic.
I prefer simultaneous wireless + BT like the better offerings from Steelseries, Corsair and JBL. Razer’s SmartSwitch which either mutes your wireless or BT is just nonsensical to me.
I got the worst experience from barracuda X. The wireless dongle literally died being plugged in my desktop. Without being touched or anything. It just decided to not work and the volume eventually scratches the audio with 3months of usage.
The mic quality sounds pretty bad. Honestly after hearing the mic on the Corsair HS80 every other mic sounds bad - I'm surprised new releases aren't trying to improve things.
I like the idea of an integrated microphone but I'm sorry, that quality is horrible. Useless in calls and gaming. Future headsets should have both integrated and detachable mics.
The barracuda pro mic sounds horrendous. It's like you're using a $10 Bluetooth headset while driving.

Razer often goes for lighter materials though and seem to have a good balance over all. If anything, my sole complaint with Razer is the leather ear cups. I have a rather acidic sweat so it degrades the leather in a matter of months and forces me to get new cups ever few months or so. Wish they had more microfiber offerings (which I think they do offer but not often enough)
Edit: I hit the save button too early. Hahaha!
@@SparkRattle As someone who has owned the Corsair Virtuoso, I can confirm that the metal construction is the main reason why it's heavy. I like everything about the headset. But I've found myself not able to keep the headset on for long periods of time due to the discomforts I felt on top of my head (it feels like someone is pressing their knuckles on my head).
I also agree with the leather earcups part. That's why I got the Razer Blackshark V2, because they don't use leather earcups. And I also like the more neutral sound of the headset, it doesn't sound too much like a gaming headset with over exaggerated bass. Been loving it ever since I bought it!
Are they provide stereo headphone + mic over USB-C?
There isnt a boom mic on the pro because they are just rebranded xm3’s with a lower latency connection
I wish Sony would just release a gaming version of their 1000xm lineup with a good microphone. Their ANC is great and their sound is perfect. They're easily the most comfortable I have. My Steelseries Arctis 7's usually hurt my ears after 30 minutes because the speaker is just pressed against my ear so hard. Sony please save us!!
They do now
@@kevindropbox7502 crazy I predicted it so close to it happening! 😎 but right after I just bought the Corsair HS80 to replace the Arctis 7’s
@@kevindropbox7502 What do you mean by that? What model are you referring to?
@@BAWBBAGET the inzone h9. theyre really close to the xm3's. the only thing is that the microphone is hot garbage. i wish more of these wireless headsets came with 2.4g dongles. tho i suppose aptx adapters will suffice, latency be damned
I just bought a Barracuda because of this, playing on PS5 I'm limited to "gaming headsets", I'd much rather use proper headphones but they don't work wirelessly. At least the Barracuda doesn't look like a gaming headset and that's a plus.
THX Achromatic Audio Amplifier (THX AAA), that is a amazing thing to have on board the Razer Barracuda Pro that you really should have talked about, it's a game changer!
Hello, which is better in terms of sound quality steelseries nova pro or barraduda pro wirelles?
🤣 ah the thumbnail really got me there I thought that you guys were reviewing a new razer barracuda that's like the avagant glyph🤣
can you review the ONE MORE QUAD DRIVER EARPHONES and don't forget to burnin the earphones and i heard a lot of good reviews about it and i am planing to buy it .But i want to hear a review from you
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro??
Would these be better than the sony xm4??
Does it have haptics? I’ll need that in order to buy
!!! Barracuda pro has issues with ps5 controller, makes it go randomly haywire. I'm about to send mine back as I can't find a solution.
Does this also have the plastic quality issue? Cracking randomly
Hola, cuáles recomiendas para música? Bajo los $150
Sweet thumbnail! 😆
I cannot take Razer serious. The CEO trash talks his employees and their products are not built professionally to last. I stopped using their products, and recommending them, ten years ago.
And let's not talk about Synapse, the worst piece of software of the century
@Daynew Dawn source? TRUST ME BRO
@Daynew Dawn razer just gets a lot of flack because theyre on par with apple when it comes to marketing, price, eco system, etc. i have razer products and theyre just as good as anything else ive owned in terms of durability and "professionalism" for gaming. i have had 3 Logitech headsets, all giving issues. i also had their HERO mouse and that ended up getting the sticky mouse click.
so yeah razer is fine and is just like everyone else, but better marketing. i bought the barracuda pro's and i cant wait.
not getting another razer headset lol my barracuda x lasted like 4 months and now doesnt connect at all to the receiver
im pretty sure razer understands that the people spending money on the premium headsets, normally not a razer but in this case it is, they buy the barracuda pro n use an xlr or usb mic separately for best audio quality across the board. dont buy a gaming headset to game, buy music equipment
The only thing that I got from this video is that that corsair headset was pretty dope :)
ANC makes sense for if you have a loud system. Makes sense, though I find closed back good enough in most cases.
Open back all the fking way... i live alone
I mean you're GPU is gonna make a lot of noise unless it's watercooled, no way around that
Most sense with a gaming laptop. those things can get really loud. PC though most of the time shouldn't be problem even with the louder one and with an open back headphone
What do you mean you cant even use it when its charging? Is that true? that seems absurd...
Hey I’m trying to connect my barracuda x to the razor app but it won’t pair can u give me some tips plz thank uu
Is the USB dongle plugged in? Razer should recognize when it’s in the PC. Otherwise try reinstalling Synapse.
-D.
I prefer simultaneous wireless + BT like the better offerings from Steelseries, Corsair and JBL. Razer’s SmartSwitch which either mutes your wireless or BT is just nonsensical to me.
Can you review the Arctis Nova Pro
I am still unsure if I should buy the Barracuda Pro. I am using a Nari Ultimate at the moment.
Does anybody compared them?
Are there any headsets that aren't so isolating? I hate it and it's always used as a selling point :/
What's the difference of Barracuda X & Barracuda X 2022? Thanks
How is the sound compared to a Sony wm3?
Hello guys which headset is the best. Barracuda pro vs blackshark v2 pro vs kraken v3 pro? Price doesn’t matter
Bro are you going to review Steel Series Nova pro??
Jesus christ you guys have the best ad Segway :D
The barracuda X has a major widespread issue with the usb dongle :l
Your thumbnail teaser reminded me of the VR headset the Avegant Glyph!
Bruh I literally ordered a 2021 barracuda x yesterday and now they updated it ☹️
Can you change the earpad for this barracuda x?
I got the worst experience from barracuda X. The wireless dongle literally died being plugged in my desktop. Without being touched or anything. It just decided to not work and the volume eventually scratches the audio with 3months of usage.
Can we get arctis nova pro wireless review please I want this for the dual streaming audio counting on you lol
The mic quality sounds pretty bad. Honestly after hearing the mic on the Corsair HS80 every other mic sounds bad - I'm surprised new releases aren't trying to improve things.
That mic is one of the worst I've ever heard. I'd be annoyed by it of one of my mates were using it.
You think the k5 better than the one 3 or gmmk2
Original 40hrs, new 50hrs, double the battery life?
what's a better headset for the same price?
hmm all these gaming headsets sound like someone taking through a Styrofoam cup
Can u use the barracuda pro while chargging?
I like the idea of an integrated microphone but I'm sorry, that quality is horrible. Useless in calls and gaming. Future headsets should have both integrated and detachable mics.
