I make fermented fruit leather. 6 oz of blueberries and raspberries each, 3 dates, 2/3 of an apple, 2 tbsp of honey, juice of one lemon, pinch of salt and a pinch of sumac. Let it ferment for 5 days in a vacuum sealed bag. Then blend and dehydrate. The best fruit leather you’ll ever eat and way less anti nutrients because it’s fermented.
My stepmother made dehydrated apple sauce when I was younger, and every time I went to school all of my friends would ask me for some, since it was so good. 👍
Easy Recipe: 1. Take a fruit 2. Cut the fruit and grind it using a mixer grinder. 3. Put a thin layer of juice on a plate 4. Keep the plate in bright sunlight for about 10-12 hrs 5. Your dehydrated fruit is ready
Dehydrated mangos was a lifesaver as a snack in the boundary waters. After hiking about a mile with gear 3/4 my body weight and being tiny while going through tough mud and it gave me a surprising amount of energy back and restored a bunch of energy!

Some fruits suck dried all alone like blueberries and raspberry but if you puree them into apple sauce and make fruit leather they are really good. My kids loved fruit roll ups from scratch. But using apple dauc3 as a base for all the flavors really works well. Or peaches. They loved the peach and raspberry roll ups.
