Loved this episode. I feel for those mothers, and families left behind as a result of horrendous violence. If people know who committed these crimes, they should provide information....they can do this anonymously via Crime Stoppers.

Yes please build the highway. 410 is far too busy trying to get people across the city. This new hwy 413 is meant for trucks to reduce congestion on our regular streets.
Housing prices are atrocious! Can you also do a spot on ridiculous rental prices as well as a result of unethically high costs of home ownership, rentals are also gouging and becoming a thing of privilege. This needs to stop! Reset the prices for hardworking people, people just starting careers, getting back on their feet! I certainly hope these things are mandated for a few years due to the pandemic! C’mon house prices and rental prices should absolutely be lowered for a period of time.
Re Hwy 413 - there was a proposal approx 20 years ago to enhance rail service from outer regions to central GTA region. Some go service has developed NSEW but better than adding cars add new routes.
Brandon there are a LOT of nefarious things happening surrounding the highway plan (nearby land sales to developers that were donors to the Ontario PCs, the MZOs being used to push things thru going against all procedures AND reccomendations for the Greenbelt. Former mayors have come together to sign against this) and actual data that shows more highways do not decrease traffic or improve commuting (induced demand, urban sprawl).
For people who are busy living their lives and not paying attention to this over the last few months it's not enough to tell a little bit of the story and ask the viewer what they think, imo. This is a great opportunity to share MORE details because this might be the ONLY platform they'll will see it on. Yes groups are against it the hwy -- BUT WHY?! Please consider compiling more info in segments and giving ppl (esp the communities whose attention you command) as much info as possible to vote and discuss in an informed way

Oh gosh that proposed 413 hwy sounds like a disaster waiting to happen! All they’ll do is build more homes around it and continue the bursting bubble of too many people for an already under performing and antiquated infrastructure of roads.
As per the superhighway. Will it be funded by the government, then sold to a private company in which we will have to pay fees like the other new highways or will it be free for everyone?
That’s a great question! Tbh, I don’t think the government would ever make the mistake again of selling of a highway. The public backlash would be swift!

The topic of an affordable home and the possibility of a new highway kinda go hand in hand. In some areas north of Toronto homes are cheaper and bigger as most homes have an average of 3 generations living under one roof those same people will need to travel to work, to school and neighbouring cities. The population is growing and it’s only so long before every city in the GTA becomes crowded with houses, apartments and condos.
In terms of the new highway, the 413. Why we can't get an agreement with those in charge of the 407? I keep wondering why we can't subsidize the cost of the 407 and use that.

The Ontario PC cannot spend the Money to give paid sick days, long term care staff, they are slashing here and there. Giving Money towards Horses and not to people that really need it like the vulnerable. But he can afford to build a new Highway.
Let's not forget that he is sitting on 12B COVID Relief Fund which if he does not use it by the end of March the money goes straight to the Provincial Debt (he's doing that so he can brag that he was the only Premier to bring down the Debt BTW)
And yet they can shell out money for a stupid Highway.
I think they should consider making the DVP or the Gardiner a Toll Road. Heck what about Tolling the 400? It is wrong to plow through Farmland, Green Belt, etc just for a dumb Highway.

They should some of that money to actually finish the 410 before starting any other highway. Cuz right “it nuh mek it!”
With the recent decision about Little Jamaica not going to be considered a heritage site will you be able to do some more follow up? This area was a regular part of my childhood and teen years. What can we do as Black Torontonians to support this area of the city and preserve Black businesses if we do not live/work directly there to shop daily, etc? Please share.
